talktimi: You can't just bring someone over from his comfortable abode and tell him to forget his dreams which were very possible to achieve just because you're housing him now. Buhari has never told anyone he wants to become a god father or political bystander, his intentions from time has been to become a democratically elected president of Nigeria to "correct" the corruption evils, why should he dump the CPC (through merger) that gave him a platform to contest for APC(?) When they won't give him such a platform ? It would have been better the CPC stays on its own, a little more serious campaign this time would have given the PDP a serious run for their money. So once again I don't believe this story because as I say, any serious group of people would have trashed these things out long ago.
I thought Buhari cried and begged on national TV hereafter promising not to have anything to do with presidential race in Nigeria after the last presidential election.

Btw, which evils are you talking about? Evils in Boko Haram masks created by this very big liar of a politician! Buhari is a lost cause and any 'sensible' political party would not even want to dine with him with a looooonnng spoon.

I knew this would happen. Anything 'Buhari' spells disasters...

This is just the beginning of the downfall of a useless 'merger' parading hosts of political prostitutes. Dead On Arrival (DOA) merger. Nna better 'unmerged' before it's too late. lol.

sogah: Congratulations! To even get an invite is a sign that u r good enough to be considered.

Asking for the salary range is indeed a very relevant question-it shows you have really did a research about the company.Try to go with the range most people have given here.

However, you shouldn't have said the salary will determine whether u will honour the invite or not as many are out there looking for any job that will keep them busy.

I wish you all the best. smiley
Yeah, salary shouldn't determine whether to or not to grace the invite. I still have a letter of employment from a top Micro-Finance bank in Lagos as IT Manager though I rejected the appointment because the pay was less my expectations and in no way better than my previous job back then. But, if the Op is currently not employed and was given employment in Jumia he could still accept, even if the pay falls below expectations and he would be able to garner experience and job skills rather than staying @ home jobless.

Who says the op doesn't have the right to turn down an invite? You think everyone is desperate to be interviewed or wants to waste their time on some low-paying crap-job? Some people have a goal. Some people know their worth, and thus have established a benchmark for potential employers. You wouldn't know anything about that now, would you? Half-baked jungle-monkey thinking companies do you a favor by hiring you. Get yo drippin' arzzzz outta here you uncle-tom motherfuckerrr! undecided

Jarus: Having info on salary can be helpful.

Not getting the Info affected my negotiation in my current employment. I resumed to learn that what I had asked for and gotten was less than what others in my cadre earn. Although it was later aligned one year later.
Yeah right..
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Jumia Salary For A Graduate by Burger01(m): 8:44am On Apr 28, 2013
Most interviewers ask the salary/pay questions almost at the end of the interview. Questions like:

** What is your salary/take home expectation?
** What pay range are you looking at in this organisation?

So, the Op should be abreast in the pay packets of the organisation just in the case he gets employed he would be earning what his expectations are. It's about marketing yourself, skills and expertise else you get shot paid if you were employed. Don't 'under-market' yourself OP and at the same time don't be too overzealous. A range of 110k and above is OK.

Goodluck.

Blogger! What for? Share his story!

@Op, do not allow people to play with and make fun of your situation. All you need is to get to a care Center for assessment and treatment. Please, keep your status as private as possible.

Stay blessed..

imperiouxx: I'm sure those asking those silly questions as to how the issue originated are ordinary street urchins, fortunate to have browsing phones. Responsible and mature age group with mature sense of reasoning can't partake in such silly question.
Exactly. Some of them asked the question so they could mock and make fun of the Op. This is not fair. One sure road everyone of us would pass is 'death'. The rich, the poor, the sick, the healthy, HIV or no HIV...we all die.

HIV is not the end of the world. We have seen reactive (+ve) people living a good life and even better than what we could imagine.

If you find it difficult to get care in Asia I think you should find a way to relocate to Nigeria. In Nigeria you get proper care, assessment and good drug therapy from any care Center which abound in the country and supported by NGOs, Federal Govt, PEPFAR, AniGhain et al free of charge.

Though it takes years for full manifestation of full blown HIV in this case its now AIDS. So, it's better you get assessed in good time. If your CD 4 is still above 350 then you won't be needing Antiretrovirals but you would need to keep your Viral Load low and undetectable to a level of 200 and below.

@Op, do not be weighed down and discouraged by your status. Fear kills faster than HIV itself.

...and for those asking how the OP got infected, please there is no one surest way of infection. One could get infected via s$ex, blood transfusion, sharing of needles, from mother to child during pregnancy and childbirth, man2man s?ex, etc... and the good thing is no matter from what source one gets infected there is hope, care, and cure (just around the corner).

@all, do not let us stigmatise people living with HIV (Plwhiv). They still remain our brothers and sisters. They need encouragement and psychological support.

@Op, do not be disturbed. Come home for care or find an NGO in Asia close to you and you would be fine. Try and see if you would find a PEPFAR supporting site.

Keep hope alive and stay blessed. Cure is just around the corner.
