The woman is very close to me I love her and like her husband I supported her decision 7yrs ago and I minded my business. I haven't spoke to her about this and I never will because it's not my place.

Everyone keeps saying they shoulda planed before marriage but that's bs because when you're in love you say things and years later one is not allowed to change their mind? How he felt about family planning changed along the way... She is healthy, and able but she really doesn't wanna go through all that again. She is a good mum and her two daughters are her testimony. It's not just having a son hun its about having a large family with someone you love. What if the next pregnancy is a healthy bouncing boy? That's also a chance is it not?

I believe the accused is a cc fraudster who also threatens his victims. And this issue should be taken to the authorities. I believe the accuser was complicit in some actions but may legally be able to get off lightly with a good defense (based on what we know at least. We don't know the timeline of when she realized fraudulent activity was going on and how long it took her to remove herself from that.) I am in complete disbelief as to how the accused fell for all this in the first place.

Out of all the cases brought on NL, how many of them has seen the courtroom? In this case scenario, the mods have all the information they need to take to the right authorities, yet......

We can't keep protecting criminals ...... we talked about jailing political corruption, but what about individual scammers in our street?

I completely agree that this case should be reported to the authorities and I find a back door deal to pay and the story ends there unpalatable. If anything, it's NLers that derailed the plan for the accused to go to the authorities (if it's really derailed) There are uncountable posts urging the issue to be settled offline so that the accused doesn't go to jail 'just because of a woman.'

I don't agree though that the mods are in cahoots with the accuser to blackmail him of money he doesn't owe her in the first place. That's a rather far fetched conspiracy theory.

@ thread, there have been many threads about scammers on NL. I can't recall one where there was such an overwhelming call for it to be treated offline and not brought to NL. I wonder why this case is so special especially when there is apparently evidence that NL is a hunting ground for the scam victims. How does it make sense not to bring it here to alert people? How does bringing it here preclude legal proceedings which should be pursued?

Honestly, the reason it took me so long to deactivate was because I wasn't sure it would work. I thought I would still be hooked but I was surprised when I finally did it. I rarely checked it and didn't even miss it. When I decided to come back, I thought I would come back, say hi and go back to rarely coming on but for where? Very demonic place this NL.

Anyway ladies - believe it or not, I had a GRASS drink. Proper grass and I kid you not!

I missed brekkie and doing my normal morning exercises at home, so this was the alternative - opted for a plain wheat porridge (no cream, no sugar) as usual - and a green crush (apples, cucumber, kiwi, lettuce, grapes, etc). Then decided to try out the grass thingy.

You know how it's done like when you go to the pub and order a shot of whisky or something similar? So I asked for one shot of grass drink. Omo you need to see the amount of grass that girl cut into the "grasser" juicer. Had to ask her if it was washed oh!

Anyway, even to drink the thing, see as my heart dey beat...kpom, kpom, kpom, as per "who send me?" And the smell? Gosh! It smelt very grassy! :DI eventually summoned up some dutch courage to drink it, but had to hold my nose in the process. Men see as dem dey laugh your sister. They even gave me a slice of apple to make it more bearable.

So, that's the long and short of my Thursday's experiment. It wasn't too bad sha. Afterall, they say grass is detoxifying.

Anyway, the very very dark green drink is the concentrated grass solution I had. Now it doesn't get much healthier than that, does it?
