In reality, Northern Nigeria is just two; North East and North West. North Central or the middle belt in most cases aligned with the south.

Most of the North Central States either voted for Peter Obi or Tinubu in the last election.


North East and North West alone can not achieve outright victory for a candidate without the support of other regions.

God willing, Tinubu stands a good chance of re-election.

As election approaches, he will make naira to add value and petrol prices would have fallen and that would pull more supporters for him.

Ahead of the January 10th, 2025 election of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, the people of Egbema ethnic nationality in Rivers and Imo States have unanimously endorsed the Inspector General of Police IGP, Dr Mike Okiro for the position of President General of the Igbo Socio-Cultural Organization known as Ohaneze Ndigbo.

The groups and individuals, while adopting Sir Mike Okiro as their sole candidate as the next President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, condemned insinuations by some people that Dr Mike Okiro is not an indigene of Rivers State and therefore, not qualified for the position that has been zoned to Rivers State.

The National President General of Ogbakor Egbema Alinso, Ifi Francis Igwebuike who addressed a media conference at Okwuzi community, Egbema in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, declared that Dr. Mike Okiro is eminently qualified for the position of the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo and should be supported by all lovers of Egbema ethnic nationality.

On his part, the Nzeobi of Egbema Kingdom in Rivers State, His Eminence, Eze Evaristus Amuda said Mike Okiro is a Rivers son, has right from childhood, as an Mgbede indigene of Egbema, Rivers State, and been contributing his quota for development of Egbema ethnic nationality.

Also speaking on the development, the Youth Leader of Ogbakor Egbema Alinso, Evaristus Nicholas called on Ndigbo to support the former Inspector General of Police, Dr Mike Okiro

The election for the next President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo is billed to be held on January 10-11, 2025.

Subsequently, the group also called for an end to what it described as incessant extrajudicial killings along the boundary between Egbema, Imo State, and Egbema, Rivers State.
