She is a political prostitute: Anybody as such is not in there for the interest of the people but their selfish interest 2. She once said APC is an islamic party: She's now looking for a soft landing among the so called Islam. 3. She denied the Igbos senate presidentship: That is the height misdeed to me. Former Niger Delta militant leader Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo has dissociated himself from the wanton attacks on oil installations in the Warri area of Delta State on Friday. Tompolo, who condemned the attacks, did not rule out connection between the destruction and the arrest warrant issued against him by a Federal High Court in Lagos. He said, “I am not responsible for the attack and I condemn it as a dastardly act. I am aware that some persons might want to destroy oil installations and link it with me that was why I said before time that I have nothing to do with it.” “I could not have gone ahead to carry out such action knowing that every finger will be pointed at me because of my case with the Federal Government,” he added. Tompolo, who spoke through Mr. Paul Bebenimibo, his media aide, urged those who carried out the attacks to change their ways. He said he was willing to help the Federal Government and relevant security operatives fish out the masterminds of the attacks and bring them to book. “I have heard about the incident that you are talking about. I was made to understand that it took place on Thursday night. Well, am sure this is what President Buhari is looking for. He should allow the people of the Niger Delta Region to know peace, otherwise he will not know peace as well,” Tompolo said. Source: https://twitter.com/NigeriaNewsdesk

This reminds me sometime in 2005, a call entered my phone. The first thing that the caller said was,''from London''.I demanded to know who was this caller from London? he said my from friend from London that he wants to surprise me that i should guess .I just mentioned one of my friends name that lives in London. He laughed said i was right. He went ahead to tell me that he sent some items from London such as phones, shoes, perfume and so on, that i need to go claim them that i should call one Engr Mike which he gave me the number. On calling Engr Mike,he said he was trapped in one remote village in Kogi state that the network there was bad and buying recharge card was a challenge. He told me to help him send three thousand worth of mtn recharge card that he he will refund the money as he comes to deliver my goods. That day ten kobo was not in my pocket as i was still a student, very broke one for that matter. i told Egr Mike that i didn't have that kind of money only for him to hang up up on me. I called him his number was not going. That was when i down on me that he was a fraudster. |

A Zaria-based NGO, Peace Initiative Forum, on Thursday said Gyallesu area and Zazzau Emirate were now “safe and conducive” without Sheik Ibrahim El-zakzaky. The Coordinator of the forum, Malam Mu’izzu Daruddeen, told newsmen in Zaria that the ancient city and its environs had recorded “sudden positive change” in its day-to-day activities. Daruddeen was reacting to the change in life pattern of people after the recent clash between the Nigerian Army and members of Shi’ite sect in Zaria, Kaduna State He said: “As peace loving organisation and patriotic citizens of this nation, we are in support of anything that will promote peace, unity and harmonious relationship among people. “Every resident of Zaria is affected directly or indirectly by the self-acclaimed powers and disregard for traffic rules by the Shi’ite members in Zaria, especially when it comes to the use of public roads. “These Shi’ite members consider any other person as a second class citizen who has no rights and privileges.” Daruddeen said whenever the leader of the Shi’ite was going for preaching, he would be escorted by youths bearing dangerous weapons. “These boys traumatised and brutally dealt with anybody while El-zakzaky was on transit. Complaints to police at different times did not yield any result,” he said. A community leader in Gyallesu, who pleaded for anonymity, expressed appreciation for the steps taken to liberate the entire community and the Zazzau Emirate. “I am from Gyallesu area, before now we lived just like prisoners who have no right to live a life worthy of human living,” he said. According to him, it is not only Gyallesu community that is happy about what happened but the entire people of Zazzau emirate. He said: “When El-zakzaky was in Gyallesu, the area became a home to all kinds of criminals because his boys did not allow uniform personnel into the area, no matter the level of crime committed. “These boys used to search anybody that is coming into the area irrespective of his or her status. “Again, once they lock up the gates at night you have no right to go out for whatever reason. The kind of loyalty these boys accorded El-zakzaky was second to none. “They see him as a messiah. They neither have respect for constitution nor any constituted authority. His instruction is the final.” He lauded the courage of the Nigerian Army for demolishing El-Zakzaky’s house, saying the action had made Gyallesu residents to breathe a fresh air. As at the time of filing this report, El-zakzaky’s residence, Hussainiya (El-zakzaky’s Mosque and Shiite headquarters) and Dambo site (Lambun Rahama) had all been demolished. The entire area is being protected by security personnel.NAN. Source:www.dailypost.ng |

Producers of 93 Days, a film about Nigeria’s battle against Ebola, have said that the family of the late Dr. Stella Adadevoh lacks the power to stop the movie. Reacting to a letter in which the Adadevoh and Cardoso families of the doctor dissociated themselves from the production, and threatened to take a legal action should the producers continue with the film, they noted that it was not about the late doctor. In a statement on Wednesday night, the producers, including the Chief Executive Officer of Terra Kulture, Mrs. Bolanle Austen-Peters, said, “We hereby strongly deny allegations contained in the recent press statement released by one Dr. Ama Adadevoh, who claims to be acting on behalf of the Cardoso and Adadevoh families. The allegations are not only untrue, they are also malicious and a calculated attempt to sabotage our feature film, 93 Days. “93 Days is not a biopic of any one individual and has never claimed to be the story of Dr. Stella Adadevoh. While that in itself is a strong story, we found it compelling to tell a story that celebrates many of the heroes of the fight against Ebola. “These include doctors, nurses and members of staff of First Consultant Hospital, employees of the Lagos State Ministry of Health, members of the Emergency Operations Centre, corporate individuals who rose to the challenge of fighting the scourge as well as the WHO team that came in to help at the risk of personal injury and even death.” They added that it was the global importance of the work that made them to enlist international actors that include Danny Glover and Bimbo Akintola. Earlier in the week, the families of the deceased doctor who treated and boldly restricted the movement of Patrick Sawyer, the American-Liberian through whom the disease got to Nigeria, claimed that she was not properly represented in the story. But the producers insisted that they sought the consent of the two families and discussed the script with them. They added, “We elnlisted the help of the Adadevoh and Cardoso families from day one. They gave their comments on the script and their amendments were incorporated into the final script.” Source:www.punchng.com Late Physician Dr Stella Addevoh

The Chairman, Security Committee, Kado Estate, Umar Kotangora, says policemen on duty at the estate failed to respond to his distress calls during an attack on the estate. The head of protocol at the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Abubakar, and his gateman, Umar Saidu, were killed during the attack on Wednesday. Kontagora stated on Thursday that he called the policemen at the security post on the telephone during the attack, adding that the officers ignored his phone calls while the attack lasted. “During the attack at Abubakar’s house, I called the policemen, but they didn’t respond. We had to walk down to the police post where we found two policemen – one was sitting while his colleague was sleeping,” he said. Kotangora explained that the estate had recorded many attacks by armed assailants, adding that it was the reason a police post was established by the entrance to the estate. Kotangora said two houses were attacked about five months ago, adding that a resident was stabbed in the neck during the incident. He stated that a vigilance group that was set up to complement the police’s effort was disbanded following the refusal of the residents to pay security fees. He said, “We set up a vigilance group to stem the incessant armed attacks, but we had to disband it because the residents refused to pay them. Some people have been calling for another vigilance group.” Asked if he suspected insiders’ connivance, the estate security committee chairman said it was not possible for criminal gangs to carry out attacks in the estate without collusion of some residents. He stated that a meeting had been fixed for Sunday with the Life Camp Divisional Police Officer to discuss new ways of securing the estate. Our correspondent gathered that Abubakar was shot in the head through the window after the gang had broken the glass windows in the house. It was learnt that the hoodlums also killed the gateman, Saidu (Umar), who approached them after they had scaled the fence into the compound. A resident said, “It seems Saidu recognised one of the assailants because we heard him saying, ‘you again?’ Some minutes later, we heard a gunshot. It was after killing him that they went for Abubakar. They could not gain entrance into his apartment, so they broke all the glass windows and shot him.” A former tenant of the estate, Akose Aigbodeni, said she was shocked to learn of Umar’s demise, saying she had known him for about 15 years. She said, “Umar (Saidu) used to be a teacher. He had been a security man in the compound since 2004. I moved out of the compound in 2014, but I still maintain my relationship with him and everyone that had lived in the house I rented.” It was learnt that the gateman, who hailed from Plateau State, had two wives and 11 children. The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Anjuguri Manzah, stated that the Commissioner of Police, Wilson Inalegwu, had ordered the arrest and detention of the two policemen on duty during the attack. “I just drew the CP’s attention to the allegation and he has ordered the arrest and detention of the personnel on duty. “He has also asked the command’s provost to investigate the allegation,” he said. Eyaaaaaa!!! And the money earned PMB the presidency? And no life was lost? Then it is used judiciously .Amaechi must be a very good investor, infact a genius. But come to think of it,how about the people that shared $2.1 billion under the auspices of arm procurement and yet they lost? Thousands of our gallant soldiers and innocent civilians died due to this ignorance? That was a bad investment. Why wailing over this Amaechi when you people know he will never go down. ![]() |
i dont know when this is going to stop in Nigeria. We take home based players on training tours and we end up fielding foreign based players in the main event. Why wasting money? |
marbee:Common sense but you are trying to make it uncommon. Why was she begging to come back when she's not guilty? |
SURElee:You sound like a responsible happily married woman because i know most of our single ladies dont share your kind of sentiment. They will rather be on the side of an adulterous woman.it was even evident from some their comments that i have read.I dont blame them sha because they have never being there and they dont know what it entails |
OGGS2000:OP, dont mind those people. One thing i dislike about human being is that when you find yourself in a mess , every adviser becomes Mr Perfect. I dont blame you for being nice and listening your wife because 15years nor be joke.It is just the woman that took the wrong step that she probably may be regretting now My own stand is this, taking such a woman back, how safe do you think you can be in the hand of a Nigeria politician or even the woman? In as much as the story pains me ,it annoys me too..........In this kind of game, there is no silver medal for finishing second; even the Bible condemns such act.Lo and behold she just finished second so the rest rest is up to you to decide.I wish you the best of luck and i pray that God gives you wisdom to be able to make the right judgement. |
