trueconscience:
I believe it is ALSO in the interest of the APC to allow Ekwunife run on its platform.

In the East, the APC is seen as a pariah and with Ekwunife running under the APC, it will reduce the bad blood and create an in-road to the Party in Anambra State.

Agreed, Ekwunife an co have earlier demarketed the APC and her sojourn with the APC will help expose the hypocrisy of politicians and even if she doesn't win, APC will gain public acceptance.

If the APC doesn't present her, truth be told, it can NEVER win the election. If the "all powerful" Ngige failed to deliver Anambra, who is Sharon Ikeazor ( or what's her name sef?)
Am an APC supporter,i dont want her to win basedon the following reasons:

1. She is a political prostitute: Anybody as such is not in there for the interest of the people but their selfish interest

2. She once said APC is an islamic party: She's now looking for a soft landing among the so called Islam.

3. She denied the Igbos senate presidentship: That is the height misdeed to me.

Everything i had written is strictly my opinion.

PoliticsTompolo Dissociates Self From Attacks On Pipelines by Cadamlk(op): 11:56pm On Jan 15, 2016
Former Niger Delta militant leader Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo has dissociated himself from the wanton attacks on oil installations in the Warri area of Delta State on Friday.

Tompolo, who condemned the attacks, did not rule out connection between the destruction and the arrest warrant issued against him by a Federal High Court in Lagos.

He said, “I am not responsible for the attack and I condemn it as a dastardly act. I am aware that some persons might want to destroy oil installations and link it with me that was why I said before time that I have nothing to do with it.”

“I could not have gone ahead to carry out such action knowing that every finger will be pointed at me because of my case with the Federal Government,” he added.

Tompolo, who spoke through Mr. Paul Bebenimibo, his media aide, urged those who carried out the attacks to change their ways.

He said he was willing to help the Federal Government and relevant security operatives fish out the masterminds of the attacks and bring them to book.

“I have heard about the incident that you are talking about. I was made to understand that it took place on Thursday night. Well, am sure this is what President Buhari is looking for. He should allow the people of the Niger Delta Region to know peace, otherwise he will not know peace as well,” Tompolo said.

Christianity EtcHow We Lived Like Prisoners Under El-zakzaky, Shiite Boys – Residents by Cadamlk(op): 9:45pm On Jan 09, 2016
A Zaria-based NGO, Peace Initiative Forum, on Thursday said Gyallesu area and Zazzau Emirate were now “safe and conducive” without Sheik Ibrahim El-zakzaky.

The Coordinator of the forum, Malam Mu’izzu Daruddeen, told newsmen in Zaria that the ancient city and its environs had recorded “sudden positive change” in its day-to-day activities.

Daruddeen was reacting to the change in life pattern of people after the recent clash between the Nigerian Army and members of Shi’ite sect in Zaria, Kaduna State

He said: “As peace loving organisation and patriotic citizens of this nation, we are in support of anything that will promote peace, unity and harmonious relationship among people.

“Every resident of Zaria is affected directly or indirectly by the self-acclaimed powers and disregard for traffic rules by the Shi’ite members in Zaria, especially when it comes to the use of public roads.

“These Shi’ite members consider any other person as a second class citizen who has no rights and privileges.”

Daruddeen said whenever the leader of the Shi’ite was going for preaching, he would be escorted by youths bearing dangerous weapons.

“These boys traumatised and brutally dealt with anybody while El-zakzaky was on transit. Complaints to police at different times did not yield any result,” he said.

A community leader in Gyallesu, who pleaded for anonymity, expressed appreciation for the steps taken to liberate the entire community and the Zazzau Emirate.

“I am from Gyallesu area, before now we lived just like prisoners who have no right to live a life worthy of human living,” he said.

According to him, it is not only Gyallesu community that is happy about what happened but the entire people of Zazzau emirate.

He said: “When El-zakzaky was in Gyallesu, the area became a home to all kinds of criminals because his boys did not allow uniform personnel into the area, no matter the level of crime committed.

“These boys used to search anybody that is coming into the area irrespective of his or her status.

“Again, once they lock up the gates at night you have no right to go out for whatever reason. The kind of loyalty these boys accorded El-zakzaky was second to none.

“They see him as a messiah. They neither have respect for constitution nor any constituted authority. His instruction is the final.”

He lauded the courage of the Nigerian Army for demolishing El-Zakzaky’s house, saying the action had made Gyallesu residents to breathe a fresh air.

As at the time of filing this report, El-zakzaky’s residence, Hussainiya (El-zakzaky’s Mosque and Shiite headquarters) and Dambo site (Lambun Rahama) had all been demolished.

The entire area is being protected by security personnel.NAN.

TV/MoviesAdadevoh Family Can’t Stop Ebola Film —producers by Cadamlk(op): 4:22am On Jan 08, 2016
Producers of 93 Days, a film about Nigeria’s battle against Ebola, have said that the family of the late Dr. Stella Adadevoh lacks the power to stop the movie.

Reacting to a letter in which the Adadevoh and Cardoso families of the doctor dissociated themselves from the production, and threatened to take a legal action should the producers continue with the film, they noted that it was not about the late doctor.

In a statement on Wednesday night, the producers, including the Chief Executive Officer of Terra Kulture, Mrs. Bolanle Austen-Peters, said, “We hereby strongly deny allegations contained in the recent press statement released by one Dr. Ama Adadevoh, who claims to be acting on behalf of the Cardoso and Adadevoh families. The allegations are not only untrue, they are also malicious and a calculated attempt to sabotage our feature film, 93 Days.

“93 Days is not a biopic of any one individual and has never claimed to be the story of Dr. Stella Adadevoh. While that in itself is a strong story, we found it compelling to tell a story that celebrates many of the heroes of the fight against Ebola.

“These include doctors, nurses and members of staff of First Consultant Hospital, employees of the Lagos State Ministry of Health, members of the Emergency Operations Centre, corporate individuals who rose to the challenge of fighting the scourge as well as the WHO team that came in to help at the risk of personal injury and even death.”

They added that it was the global importance of the work that made them to enlist international actors that include Danny Glover and Bimbo Akintola.

Earlier in the week, the families of the deceased doctor who treated and boldly restricted the movement of Patrick Sawyer, the American-Liberian through whom the disease got to Nigeria, claimed that she was not properly represented in the story.

But the producers insisted that they sought the consent of the two families and discussed the script with them.

They added, “We elnlisted the help of the Adadevoh and Cardoso families from day one. They gave their comments on the script and their amendments were incorporated into the final script.”

CrimeNFF Man’s Killing: ‘policemen Ignored Distress Calls’ by Cadamlk(op): 4:04am On Jan 08, 2016
The Chairman, Security Committee, Kado Estate, Umar Kotangora, says policemen on duty at the estate failed to respond to his distress calls during an attack on the estate.

The head of protocol at the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Abubakar, and his gateman, Umar Saidu, were killed during the attack on Wednesday.

Kontagora stated on Thursday that he called the policemen at the security post on the telephone during the attack, adding that the officers ignored his phone calls while the attack lasted.

“During the attack at Abubakar’s house, I called the policemen, but they didn’t respond. We had to walk down to the police post where we found two policemen – one was sitting while his colleague was sleeping,” he said.

Kotangora explained that the estate had recorded many attacks by armed assailants, adding that it was the reason a police post was established by the entrance to the estate.

Kotangora said two houses were attacked about five months ago, adding that a resident was stabbed in the neck during the incident.

He stated that a vigilance group that was set up to complement the police’s effort was disbanded following the refusal of the residents to pay security fees.

He said, “We set up a vigilance group to stem the incessant armed attacks, but we had to disband it because the residents refused to pay them. Some people have been calling for another vigilance group.”

Asked if he suspected insiders’ connivance, the estate security committee chairman said it was not possible for criminal gangs to carry out attacks in the estate without collusion of some residents.

He stated that a meeting had been fixed for Sunday with the Life Camp Divisional Police Officer to discuss new ways of securing the estate.

Our correspondent gathered that Abubakar was shot in the head through the window after the gang had broken the glass windows in the house.

It was learnt that the hoodlums also killed the gateman, Saidu (Umar), who approached them after they had scaled the fence into the compound.

A resident said, “It seems Saidu recognised one of the assailants because we heard him saying, ‘you again?’ Some minutes later, we heard a gunshot. It was after killing him that they went for Abubakar. They could not gain entrance into his apartment, so they broke all the glass windows and shot him.”

A former tenant of the estate, Akose Aigbodeni, said she was shocked to learn of Umar’s demise, saying she had known him for about 15 years.

She said, “Umar (Saidu) used to be a teacher. He had been a security man in the compound since 2004. I moved out of the compound in 2014, but I still maintain my relationship with him and everyone that had lived in the house I rented.”

It was learnt that the gateman, who hailed from Plateau State, had two wives and 11 children.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Anjuguri Manzah, stated that the Commissioner of Police, Wilson Inalegwu, had ordered the arrest and detention of the two policemen on duty during the attack.

“I just drew the CP’s attention to the allegation and he has ordered the arrest and detention of the personnel on duty.

“He has also asked the command’s provost to investigate the allegation,” he said.

Mr hubby, advice yourself. U in your heart of hearts you know the step to take.

1: on your own, do investigative journalism on your wife, to know how long this has being going on. U can can even tell, maybe even when she had 200k job with the paraphenalia of driver and car.

2: Biko, Oga. Don't let the woman trap u with sex when you pple finally meet to discuss. Tests have to be carried out to rule out pregnancies and Diseases o! I have seen situations where a wife gets pregnant for another man outside matrimonial home and births the baby as belonging to her Hubby.

3: these are just few. But a woman who can do this, can actually give the husband o!why would any woman ruin her marriage over an ex?

4 finally Oga, the ultimate decision rests on you. That's why you're the head of your home and that position you shouldn't lose or handle lightly.

God bless and strengthen you.
You sound like a responsible happily married woman because i know most of our single ladies dont share your kind of sentiment. They will rather be on the side of an adulterous woman.it was even evident from some their comments that i have read.I dont blame them sha because they have never being there and they dont know what it entails

I want to get something straight here, some comments here suggests that nothing is wrong for a married woman to go to her Ex and make request for jobs or favour behind the husband. Or she can do that as a revenge for a cheating husband though am yet to be accused of that. If am accused of that I will not be here. because the other woman will fill the space.
OP, dont mind those people. One thing i dislike about human being is that when you find yourself in a mess , every adviser becomes Mr Perfect.

I dont blame you for being nice and listening your wife because 15years nor be joke.It is just the woman that took the wrong step that she probably may be regretting now

My own stand is this, taking such a woman back, how safe do you think you can be in the hand of a Nigeria politician or even the woman?
In as much as the story pains me ,it annoys me too..........In this kind of game, there is no silver medal for finishing second; even the Bible condemns such act.Lo and behold she just finished second so the rest rest is up to you to decide.I wish you the best of luck and i pray that God gives you wisdom to be able to make the right judgement.

WHAT INDEED IS THE RULE OF LAW?
Written by Kay Lord

I remember one of President Obama's key promise during his first term campaign;

"I will shut down Guatanamo Bay prisons. It is hypocritical of America to be preaching democracy and rule of law to the world yet own a facility where suspects are kept without trial for many years. The shutting down of that illegal detention centre would be one of my first executive order once I am sworn in as the President of the United States. " (Paraphrased)

As I write this, Obama is nearing the end of his second term in office and Guatanamo prison is still standing and the US are still detaining high risk suspects there, some for upward of 10 to 15 years without trial or prosecution in any law court anywhere in the world.

Obama came to office as a green horn in security matters. He did not know that security issues are not subject to campaign rhetoric. I remember John McCain, his Republican challenger, a war veteran and a Senator of over 30 years, who had chaired several Senate security committee in the US Senate telling Obama he does not know what he's talking about!

You will wonder why Obama kept silent on Guatanamo till now? Now, he knows better. That's why I laugh reading Facebook 'activist' and unrepentant Buhari bashers pontificating and sermonising over the rule of law after what President Buhari said about granting bail for individuals that has serious case against the state that pertains to security issues.

What folks don't understand is that the rule of law itself is subject to the rule and right of a nation when it pertains to the security and wellbeing of the people of a country against that of a few individuals. That's why, the USA that calls themselves the land of freedom and the bastion of democracy in the world do not care about the rule of law when it concerns the security of her people. That supercede any rule of law. Cry from today to eternity, you are just wasting your time and effort, America will ignore you and do what they have to do.

Check this; the US flouted every international law when the President of the US ordered special combat forces to go into the territory of another sovereign nation, Pakistan in order to get Osama bin Laden. Not only was Osama ordered to be killed extra judicially but his corpse was even buried at sea. When I read a book detailing the preparation for that mission by one of the members of that special force that entered into Pakistan under the cover of the night, you will realize that when it comes to the security and safety of the United States, they are ready to flout any law. Now, do you want to accuse Obama of illegality? Has Pakistan sued America at the World court? Also, please who amongst the vuvuzelas shouting themselves hoarse on Facebook will pick up the gauntlet and sue the President of the US for killing Osama bin Laden extra judicially? Ohhh don't they think Osama bin Laden has fundamental right to fair hearing? Yeye people!

One of the reasons I supported president Buhari came to fore during his media chat. I am an advocate of the rule of law and I believe in it but personally I believe we have to draw a line when the rule of law comes into conflict with security, safety and the well being of citizens of a given nation. You can't flagrantly abuse the security and well being of the people and come around to shout about rule of law when it's time to face the consequences of your action. Our judicial process must be overhauled to conform with the reality of the moment. America knows this better. For once, this country has a President that is ready to lead! It's not that PMB does not believe in the rule of law. After all, this is a man that was rigged out of election on about 3 occasions but followed the rule of law by going all up to the Supreme court to seek redress.

What the President is saying to whoever care to listen is that, when it comes to the safety, well being and progress of this nation no individual would use the rule of law to escape justice. That's why he said point blank concerning the Shi'ite issue that you can't have a state inside a state! It's either folks are ready to shape up or ship out! This country has been thrown to the dogs, it's high time we take it back and put it on the path of sanctity. Enough of lilly livered leadership, it's time to run this country according to dictates of the time we live in.

If you don't like it, sorry, we have a country to run and you will have to excuse us.
