Good day, please I'm still soliciting for your support. The deadline for the payment is drawing closer, please . |
Caleb0011:I'm still sourcing for money to cover this outstanding payment (health insurance) as the deadline draws closer. Please I need your assistance in any way , loan or grants , or if you know any organization that can help. I will be forever grateful. |
UPDATE A wonderful and generous Nairalander has paid for my flight ticket . I have also source for funds around and have been able to pay for the matriculation fee. The last payment , is the health insurance plan. In the picture attached,my scholarship covers all from the "full tuition" down to the "recurring fees". As I said, I have paid for the "matriculation fees ($435)". The last outstanding payment is ($1296). Thanks @baby124 for your effort in pushing this thread to the front page. I really appreciate.

Graduateacher:I don't know the kind of verification process you're referring to , although I've contacted with @elektra and sent all the documents to her . She's the one that actually advised me to include the admission and scholarship letter in the first post. Thanks |
bamiDee1:Contact @walspring for the SEVIS payment .. He did mine . |
baby124:Thanks ma for the reply. The scholarship covers all my cost of attendance except the matriculation fee and health insurance plan. The Google program which starts first, commences on the 14th, July. The amount needed to offset the aforementioned fees and the travel ticket is about a million naira . While the university resumes on 5th August, the deadline for the payment of the fees is 26th, July. Thanks and I don't mind it being on the front page , really appreciate. |
baby124:The health insurance is a policy and meant for international students only. The scholarship doesn't cover it because the students are to register with an insurance company kinda affiliated with the university. Moreso, the scholarship I have been awarded is for both domestic and international students. That's why it doesn't cover the health insurance. If you don't mind I can send you a pm. And include, the scholarship and admission documents. Thanks. |
Caleb0011:From the scholarship letter, I have paid the enrollment deposit and room reservation fee, these were required for the I-20 . The fee I stated is the one time matriculation fee and health insurance fee, mandated for international students ( that's why it is not on that letter, the letter is general to both international and domestic student) . And then, the air fare ticket. Thanks again everyone.. |
ifyalways:My case doesn't require a bank statement for interview since its full funded. We've spent a lot during the processing , just at a tight corner now. |
ifyalways:I booked on the 3rd of June, and I was interviewed on the 11th of June which was successful. I picked up my passport, visa-stamped, on the 20th June at DHL Isolo. Thanks. And also regulation require that international student in the US should have an health insurance plan. |
Please, I still need your assistance. |
runwaymodel:Thanks for your time and advice . The money is for travel cost, insurance ( health) program and another fee the scholarship doesn't cover. I've approached some bodies in the Nigeria that helps with educational loans but it has all been really tasking and at the end abortive. Thanks once again... |
elektra:I do understand that. But I'm trying not to put things kinda confidential on the net. Please if you read through my post and feel there is any way you can assist , please send me a pm and I shall send you any supporting document you request for . Thanks ... |
LuciferTasbih:Wait, what's all this ![]() I'll just ignore ... |
Good day wonderful people of Nairaland. My name is Osas. Sequel to my former thread where I solicited for financial help to cover some cost relating to my studies. Then, I had just completed the visa application . But now, my visa has been approved and have also collected my passport ..... My story goes thus: I have been awarded a full ride scholarship to a university in the US. I was also awarded a scholarship and selected for a competitive three-week summer program ( like an internship) at Google this summer( program begins mid-July) . Please, I'm soliciting for the help of well meaning Nigerians and Nairalanders for a little financial assistance. As at now, I don't really have a funding source for my travel cost to the US and some other mandatory fees my university scholarship doesn't cover. It all totals about to a million naira. Please, I'm pleading for your assistance in every little way you can, in terms of grants or loans. Please, if you are in a position to help or know anyone/organisation willing to help and you need any proof about all I have written, kindly click on my profile link nairaland.com/Caleb0011 , then on 'Send an Email Message to Caleb0011' to pm me. Please as you help me in conquering the last hurdle of this life-changing process, may all your aspirations and expectations be met and fulfilled. Thanks for reading through and your assistance in anticipation. As advised by @elektra , some documents to prove the scholarship has been attached. Thanks UPDATE A wonderful and generous Nairalander has paid for my flight ticket . I have also source for funds around and have been able to pay for the matriculation fee. Please, I'm humbly soliciting for your assistance. |
ifyalways:I feel I can get a date in late June or early July. My I-20 arrived late that's why. Thanks for your concern |
ifyalways:Completing the visa application today. The summer program at Google runs from July 14, 2019 - Aug 3, 2019, while the university resumes August 5. Thanks. |
Planet3xi:Okay, thanks |
Masterppower:Good day sir, I have a mobile phone. I didn't say otherwise on the quoted post. |
dayleke:Thanks for this advice. I actually tried using 'Go fund me' , but they don't support Nigeria. For me to use it, I would need someone in one of their few supported countries that will help collect the donations. And I currently don't have anyone. I'm from a kinda below average family , we've struggled with all the payments ( application, WES, test , visa fees and the likes) but hooked at this point. Please, if you know anyone that can offer me a little help, I would appreciate. |
