Irrespective of whether we were eligible and not invited or they have created d admission list and we couldn't make it, we ain't gonna die, it ain't a death sentence. As long as God is still up dere our prayers are gonna be answered one day...

I didn't give out a judgement, neither did I reach a conclusion, that is if you read what I wrote. So, I think speculation is the wrong word to use. I was merely trying to make sense of the whole admission process while stating at the end that I might be wrong.

Besides, so you think those who passed the benchmark are just over 20k? Wake-up! Those who passed should be nothing less than 39k.

Uniben admits about 7000 students or so every year and even at that, it takes about 4-5 months to complete the clearance process for these students, not to mention 39k or even 20k like you said. And Uniben wants to do this, compile list, invite those who passed again, start their clearance process and still meet up with the academic calendar?

Toh! Let's just wait and see how it goes sha. I might be wrong.

Yea. That's what Uniben did from the look of things. The people they invited are the first batch admission list.
Now, if the people they invited have already made the list, that's bad news for those not invited yet. Because that means as it stands, Uniben already has 1st and 80% 2nd batch admission list compiled, meaning not everybody will get invited for the second batch because about 60% of the available space would have already been filled, leaving Uniben with no option than to invite ONLY those who made the second batch like they did with the first.
Now, if the people they invited are rather going to fight for their admission via face-face screening (which I doubt) , still bad news for those not invited because it means their chances of getting admitted depends on how many first batchers are able to ace their face-face screening. This means Uniben will admit as many that can pass the screening. Imagine Uniben inviting 7000 students and 6,500 pass the screening, E don be for second batch be that oh!
Those not invited yet, please don't start giving up. Though, I know it's easier said than done. Just remain hopeful, all will work out well.
But still put it at the back of your minds that the fact you have not been invited is not a guarantee that you will be, in the second batch. Uniben will most certainly not invite everybody who crossed the benchmark, they cannot handle such a crowd. Impossicant!

Bro Uniben could definitely not handle over 20k in just 3 days, they made a wise decision to split us in batches. Besides u speculating based on procedures of previous years but this year is different.

some ppl are so scared like the next batch is a bad thing lol. Now Uniben have shown us dat we all can't be screened at once...

I wonder y UI decided to use e-tranzact. My friend was debited twice and d page not recognizing it. I have gone to the bank for a refund coz he used my card and i was told to wait for max of 7 working days.

For ppl who wanna use GCE and wanna get ur original certificate after 5yrs ( I ain't sure ). simply go to the state branch where u wrote ur exam with about 2,500 naira + printout of ur result + means of identification.

A notice on my kofa page is telling me that I'm not eligible to apply for screening. But someone told me that the bench mark for my course, CSC is 200 and I scored 206. Any Idea what's amiss?

So u guys are saying uniben is gonna use only jamb.. coz from all d comments I see no one is sure only acting on hear say basis... Most schools are trying to make a leveled playing ground for all aspirant so no one feels cheated and definitely hope Uniben also does so...

You're even confident to type this as if you're longer in Nigeria,or have you suddenly forgotten how a policy can be changed overnight.

Read carefully and you will find out that jamb has instructed institutions to carry out the admission processing themselves.this is indirectly telling them to use any method that suits them.

Moaua candidates did written examinations and no dust was raised, even though,they were cheap and few questions,atleast they did write.

I'm sure the wise among you are reading surreptitiously to avoid another story that touches.

Fg gave d directive to ban post utme not jamb. Jamb was trying to pick candidates for d schools. Now d schools can now pick their students anyhow dey want without any form of exam.... And d moaua u mentioned just 5 questions were asked and filling of forms..

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has withdrawn the 2016 admission list it forwarded to different Nigerian Universities. This was disclosed in a statement by the body's spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin released today July 31st. Part of the statement reads
“This is to ensure that the University Senate perform its statutory responsibility of conducting the selection of candidates and refer it to JAMB for confirmation in line with the admission criteria of merit, catchment and educationally disadvantaged states as directed by the Hon Minister of Education at the policy committee meeting,”
The earlier list was sent to help fast track the process of admission so as to allow other tiers of institutions also conduct their admission. Candidates should not panic because this is part of the process of the 2016 admission exercise. JAMB regrets any inconvenience this decision would have caused the tertiary institutions. The board regrets any inconvenience it’s proactive step would have caused the tertiary institutions.”
