The meaning of minimum is that you can't go below that number, jamb setting the minimum at 120 doesn't mean they should use 120 schools can set any cut off they want above 120..
You are just confusing yourself because you don't understand their policy.
Jamb set minimum at 120 I repeat minimum.
Schools can set their cut off mark as they want. If they like let it be 300.
University of Ibadan set her cut off at 200. Is 200 not above 120??
So tell me how on earth did they reject the minimum score when jamb told schools to set any cut off they want above 120.

120 is the national minimum cut off. School will then set any cut off mark they deem fit.

Many of you have difficulty decoding simple statement and just jumping at what these bloggers are throwing at you.
Jamb didn't ask any school to admit any student with 120. Jamb only set the general cut off at 120 then schools can set any cut off they like as long as it is not below 120 if the school like let the cut off be 300 it isn't the business of jamb. they have done their part by setting a minimum benchmark.

Oga read well....it is rejected on the ground that anyone that scores less that 200 will not be invited for UI post utme or whatever. That is an outright rejection of the new policy by JAMB.
My question again is....what is our Benchmark? If JAMB is Championing one thing and other Universities are kicking against it. Our education story is never the case of a lower standard, but it is the case of no standard at all. I stand with UI

Hmm mehn i eva since delsu advertised for its post utme application, am yet to apply becos I was told the weren't acceptin second choice, now after goin thro the pages I noticed that some people who made delsu it second choice still applied , to me 5 thousand is a big money to waste add with the online registration cash.
And am askin again pls is it okay to apply even tho u made delsu ur second choice

If you really need admission from Delsu you'll definitely make them your first choice, coz in the bulletin released they mentioned candidates with 180 and above that made them their first choice....

Please, go to your personal info on your already registered DELSU Screening Form and check if your UTME Scores is in consonant with the Scores recorded for you on DELSU PORTAL. Check it now. I just discovered that 10 marks is missing from my original Jamb scores. My friend said, 15 scores is missing from his original UTME SCORES.
Check it out, so we know what to do.

Did you channel your complaint to the right medium before coming here to post this? I had an issue with my print out and had a chat with those managing the portal via the website and they resolved my problem instantly.

So i just fell in love with a new course - Civil Law. DELSU offers this course.

Now the issue is this, I scored 247 in jamb.. i'm also from Delta state but i didn't choose DELSU as 1st choice. In fact i didn't choose them at all. I want to change institution now but i still want to maintain Unilorin as first choice (Mass Com) and DELSU as second choice.

Do i have a good chance of getting admitted for Civil Law at DELSU with 247 in Jamb?

If yes, maybe i should just pick them as first choice!

See my dilemma!! Who will answer this thoughts for me??

students will be admitted into the faculty this coming session. A bulletin was released as regards that.

now see, with wah u saying its still the cutoff, it means, if some1 even had a score of 216 he/she could still be given, and some1 dah had 232 myt be denied, it depends on the luck, connection and the likes..

just change to a less competitive school if u so want pharmacy...

It is your own calculation that is wrong. The points for O'level results is as follows,
A1- 10 points
B2- 9 points
B3- 8 points
C4- 7 points
C5- 6 points
C6- 5 points
Just use the above legend to calculate your O'level and divide your JAMB score by 8. This is the format UNILAG used last year.
