The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has reiterated the need for proper education in the country.

The former vice president said that “we cannot grow if we do not invest in education”.

Disclosing this in a statement, the CEO of Hemam Synergy Limited, Michael Ameh said that Atiku is a man who believes that human capital development is pivotal for nation building.

He said Atiku Abubakar “gave me the opportunity of going to the American University of Nigeria completely free on the scholarship of His Excellency Atiku Abubakar without ever meeting him. The total cost of the scholarship, put together was over N13,000,000 as at then.

“It is more like empowering the young generation and identifying the best, not just in education but also in business and other aspects of life.”

“Without His Excellency giving me that opportunity, there is no way I will be where I am today. There is no way I would have been able to access that capital at that young age to start up the company that we are running today.”

Subsidy is a delicate national issue. Until we have local production capacity, its removal will hurt this weak economy.

Dangote refinery should come on board. FG should strike a contract refining deal with him. He can also be paid for refining with crude oil. That will tremendously reduce pressure on forex and freight costs. It will boost Naira value, as over 50% of our forex goes to oil importation.

That is the only way subsidy can be addressed.

Governors of South Eastern states appears to be unconcerned about the poor performance of their states with respect to the ongoing PVC registration. I haven't seen any action from them with regards to the mobilisation of people for PVC registration and collection. What will it take them to constitute various mobilisation committees that will work round the clock towards ensuring that more people are registered.
Does it mean that after the massive number of people this data remains the same? We are ready to change the narratives looking at the number of youths that registered.

It's awesome that Ebonyi State is the highest in the South East in terms of PVC registration. Please other states should improve more because Ebonyi State is one the State that has the least population in South East.

A member of the notorious gang suspected to be responsible for beheading a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly representing Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s constituency, Okechukwu Okoye was allegedly arrested today at Amichi in Nnewi South local government area of Anambra State.

The man whose name was given as Nnahadi Michael, was arrested by special tactical teams.

His accomplice said to be a native doctor is still at large, but it was gathered that his shrine was destroyed.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga, however, said he was yet to confirm the arrest, which is circulating in the social media.

The suspect, who is already in custody, admitted during questioning to being part of the killer gang, saying that they killed three politicians, including the beheaded lawmaker.

“We first of all strip them naked so they can say the truth”, he Said.

I have never seen people as silly as the Igbos. The Ikwerre people which I am one declared in 1964 when we had everything to gain by being Igbo that we are no Igbo.
When they talk about language I ask them the egg and the hen which one came first? Ikwerre people are just found in only four LGA in Rivers State. Igbos have not just LGA but states. That is why Nigerians see any one who answers Chi and say bia as Igbo because 9 in every 10 persons who say Chi or Bia is Igbo. They generalize. Ikwerre language has more vocabulary than Igbo. I have asked them to give me the Igbo world for 'Yes: they are yet to come up with that. A typical Ikwerre man sees an Igbo person as second class citizen.
Let me give you a hint any day you a get closer to Amaechi call him an Isuoma man. This is what ikwereee call the Igbos. I bet you if Amaechi doesn't shoot you call me a fool. Amaechi can only claim Igbo by marriage which is political.
