The lady is very wrong irrespective and I've not withheld my conclusions in her behaviour. I've done so in simple English.

I've used the words aggressive, anti social and disturbing amongst others to describe her actions and I've even given the airline a reasonable excuse to deny her boarding.

But I don't buy the nonsense from the official spokesperson of the Kenya airlines about the shengen visa. What I can glean from the video is that the lady became irate because of a long stopover 17hours as she can be heard stating in the video and the lack of courtesy service from the airline she argues that some individuals were given meal tickets while others were denied I suspect that the conflict is predicated on this fact, she also claims boarding passes had been issued which means she has been cleared to transit through CDG.

I was travelling from British Isles through CDG/ Schiphol en route Nigeria with a Nigerian passport. It's simple as ABC. The return was same in reverse.

There is no difference once she is no exiting the customs clearance in Paris which she will not be able to anyway without a valid visa(she'll not be allowed exit the airport) and her final destination on her ticket says Manchester and she has a valid UK visa she can transit through Paris without a Schengen visa.

There is no complexity to it.

The woman can however be denied boarding or de-boarded for exhibiting antisocial and or violent behaviour, or for being intoxicated that happens all the time and the airline are not obligated to put you on a next flight for free, they can even ban you from flying their airline depending on the nature of the incident.

They can deny her travel on the grounds she is exhibiting antisocial behaviour near on aggressive behaviour but the excuse about shengen visa is invalid, it's the same set of rules in all airports especially those that have a high transit traffic.

In my post I also limited my commentary to the need to possess a shengen visa to transit through France which is false. The Kenya airlines communication representative should never attempt such erroneous statement a desk attendant can be ignorant of the process but an official statement should not attempt such.

I agree. Sometimes visas requirements would depend on the kinda travel document one is travelling with, yours may not have required a transit visa.

Any evidence that she didn't? We don't know what happened, we were not there. Screaming at airline staff wouldn't resolve the issue, they have the right to refuse her boarding, especially if she is abusive, she shoulda spoken to their manager.

Such nonsense escuse by the Kenya airlines representative, you don't need a shengen visa to transit through any European airport, since you'll not be exiting the airport's customs clearance.

I travelled through CDG, Schiphol etc with a Nigerian passport en route Lagos on multiple occasions and in reverse without need of any shengen visa.

You may have done so, but the Kenyans are allowed to refuse her boarding. Perharps you should try travelling through Kenya and proof your point to them. Is also said the angry woman threw sanitary pad at the Kanyans airline staff.

Again, i repeat, they are allowed to refuse her boarding. She can make a complain to their manager not argue with them.


Maybe she should have called her president as they dared her.
