So I was thinking about Kanye's latest rants and compared it with those days when he was dating Amber.He was wild but still put together..

Kanye sure took the world by storm when he decided to make Amber Rose his main chick in 2009.He virtually brought her to the limelight.They met on the set of a musical video and it was love at first sight.He introduced her to the world,to stardom but after 2 years it ended..Amber not only walked out a famous lady but richer too as she reportedly signed a non-disclosure contract(she would never reveal any of his secrets)which ran in to millions of dollars

Then she moved on to Wiz and it reportedly hurt Kanye so bad.He started dissing her during stage performances, in songs and interviews.Remember Deuces RMX,yes he dissed her real bad"I hate you but love your mum".He even got into a backstage fight with Wiz when the latter warned him to quit his obsession with Amber and move on.

Then Amber's relationship with Wiz kept getting stronger and Kanye was lonely. He decided to go to Kim who had been there from the start.They had been reportedly having a fling for years and everyone claimed Kim had so many similarities with Amber.He dressed her the way he wanted her to dress, all the matching outfits and all.

Then Amber got pregnant ,engaged and Kanye decided to do same with Kim.After years of insulting Amber. Kanye accepted she was happier with Wiz and said "He was sorry and Amber remains very special to him".In one of his tracks he said "The only nigger i respect in this industry is Wiz Khalifa"

However..people still say. Kanye and Amber looked better and more fun than Kanye and Kim...As a fan,I so loved Kanye and Amber.If for anything, his career soared and he wasn't ranting allover the place like a mad man.

The Chief Imam of Nupe Central Mosque, Kaduna, Malam Mohammad Nafi’u, on Friday commended the Federal Government and university lecturers for resolving their differences over the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ five-month old strike.

Nafi’u made the commendation in his Jumaa’at Sermon in Kaduna.

ASUU had embarked on the strike on July 1 to demand the implementation of the 2009 agreement the government entered into with it, among other demands.

Nafi’u said that it was important that the matter was resolved so that students could go back to school.

The clergyman described education as the bedrock of development and urged both the government and ASUU to take education every seriously.

Nafi’u advised the government to always be proactive on issues that could disrupt the education system, and said that ASUU must equally be patriotic in ensuring standards and high quality of education in the country.

He called on parents to always discharge their responsibility of ensuring properly moral upbringing of their children.

“If parents fail to perform their duty, God Almighty will ask them on the day of accountability,” Nafi’u said.

He urged Muslims to pray for the country and to live in peace and harmony with their neighbours.

A US air strike killed 15 people on their way to a wedding in Yemen, after their party was mistaken for an Al Qaeda convoy.

Five other were injured in the attack according to a local security officer.
A U.S. drone mistakenly targeted a wedding convoy in Yemen's al-Baitha province after intelligence reports identified the vehicles as carrying al Qaeda militants, two Yemeni national security officials said.
The officials said that 14 people were killed and 22 others injured, nine in critical condition. The vehicles were traveling near the town of Radda when they were attacked.
This isn't the first time a mistake like this has been made.
hmmmmm.....Can you imagine what would happen if this happened even once in America? They would be in full war mode in under 24 hours with boots on the ground in the country that did it.

But Jay-Z other major stars including Justin Timberlake failed to score any nominations in the major categories, which saw a mixture of rap and pop in the running for the top honors at music’s equivalent of the Oscars next month.

Record Of The Year candidates are Daft Punk & Williams’ ubiquitous “Get Lucky,” New Zealand teenager Lorde’s “Royals,” “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons, Hawaiian crooner Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out Of Heaven” and Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” made infamous by Miley Cyrus’ twerking at the MTV Video Music Awards show.

Shortlisted for Song of the Year — for songwriters, as opposed to performers — were “Just Give Me A Reason” sung by Pink Featuring Nate Ruess; “Locked Out Of Heaven” sung by Bruno Mars; “Roar” sung by Katy Perry; “Royals” sung by Lorde, and “Same Love” sung by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis was also nominated for Best New Artist, up against James Blake, Kendrick Lamar, Kacey Musgraves and Ed Sheeran.

Industry journal Variety said Friday’s nominations made “for a wide-open race with no clear favorite and few megastars in the running for top honors at the music biz’s January kudofest.”

In fact Adele did secure one nomination Friday: in the Best Song for Visual Media category, for “Skyfall,” the theme tune to the last James Bond movie.

Other Britons shortlisted included veteran icon David Bowie, who won a Best Rock Album nod for “The Next Day,” his surprise first release in a decade in March, triggering ecstasy among older fans and arguably showing some younger stars how to do it.

The thread claimed the huge snake was one of two enormous boas found by workers clearing forest for a new road. They apparently woke up the sleeping snakes during attempts to bulldoze a huge mound of earth. This is Biggest snake in the world!!


“On the third dig, the operator found there was blood amongst the soil, and with a further dig, a dying huge snake appeared,” said the post.
“By the time the workers came back, the wounded boa had died, while the other snake had disappeared. The bulldozer operator was so sick that he couldn’t even stand up.”

Late Iyayi’s journey home ward began with a stop-over at his Isihor country home, accompanied by ASUU members, to enable his family members and ASUU members have a close look at his remains.

This came as one of the officiating Priests at the lying- in state ceremony held at the Akin Deko Main Auditorium in honour of the former President of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Prof. Festus Iyayi drew the ire of a cross-section of members of the academic community, civil society organizations when in his homily, he appealed to ASUU to suspend their six months old strike.

At about 9.35am, his body was carried by pall bearers into a waiting hearse with registration number FG 63-U50 while his wife, Mrs. Grace Iyayi was conveyed in a black Toyota Prado SUV with registration number NUC 07U-37 FG, followed by ASUU, CDHR representatives and close associates in a long motorcade to the UNIBEN Ugbowo Campus.

On arrival at UNIBEN, his remains was conveyed to the Faculty of Management Sciences, where he was the HOD, Business Administration till he died. At the Faculty, Academics decked in academic gowns formed a guard of honour while the Dean of the faculty, Prof. Famous Izedonmi delivered a brief oration. In the same vein, Prof. P. Eriki rendered heart touching prayers before the body was taken to the University main auditorium.

The remains of Iyayi was received by a mammoth crowd of ASUU members and UNIBEN management led by Prof. G. Oshodin and immediately, a commendation service began.

The auditorium which overflowed into canopies was a congregation of academic intellectuals from all the universities across the country.

In his opening oration, Dr. Nasir Isa Fagge, ASUU President said Iyayi’s death came as a rude shock to the academic union with no one having a premonition of the sudden death.

His words, “With a heavy heart, I read this tribute. The death of our Comrade came to us as a rude shock because we had no premonition of it. He was full of life, having just partaken in a congress the day before.

On his part, the Vice Chancellor of UNIBEN, Prof Oshodin stated that the death of Iyayi has left a void that cannot be filled because Iyayi chosed a part of forthrightness and excellence which made him to beg Iyayi to become HOD while others were lobbying for it.

According to him, “Life is not about how long we live but how well we live. His life was characterised with hardwork, excellence and forthrightness. He came to this world unannounced but he is leaving with a loud ovation.

Reading from portions of the Bible, Obiyan praised Iyayi’s tenacity of purpose, courage and sense of dedication to duty, all of which he said contributed to the “hero” he became, both in life and in death and appealed to ASUU members to consider their position in order not to continue at the receiving end.

He said, “The death of the faithful is precious in the eyes of God, so I want to admonish the family not to think of the pain of death, but think about the bright promise of immortality.

“Finally, I want to thank God because (ASUU) has become the voice of the voiceless today. May that voice never die; but I want to remind you that there is no success without sacrifice. For Jesus to gain the whole world, he had to give up his life.

Speaking with journalists at the end of the ceremony, ASUU President, Dr Nasri Fagge said reaction from the crowd was enough attestation to the mood of majority of union members on the matter.

He said, “We were told here at this gathering there were some fundamental issues that bother the mind of our late comrade, as to the future of the struggle. For me, it is left for us to rally around those ideals and advance his legacies. You saw the reaction of the crowd to what was said about suspending the struggle, and that to me said it all.”

Dr Oghenekaro Ogbinaka, Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), University of Lagos Chapter, on Tuesday urged the union’s members to desist from working against its interest.

Ogbinaka made the appeal in a statement he made available to journalists in Lagos.

He said that the members should not allow their selfish interests to overshadow the interest of the union.

He alleged that some members of the chapter called an illegal congress recently but failed in their bid to carry out `illegal activities’.

“`Congress anticipated their plot that was borne out of greed.

“No member of the University of Lagos Branch of the ASUU is, therefore, taken aback on their action, “ he said.

He described such as an action as misguided, and urged ASUU members to desist from such.

The chairman gave the assurance that the chapter would remain indivisible. (NAN)

Enyeama raked 71 per cent of the votes far ahead of Ibrahimovic, who scored 19 per cent and Cavani, 10 per cent. He will receive his trophy on Sunday before Lille clash with Toulouse in match day 14.
The former Enyimba custodian also figures on the Confederation of African Football’s list of nominees for the 2013 African Footballer of the Year award.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has said that Nigerians should expect a new generation of naira notes before the second quarter of 2014.
Deputy Governor, Operations, Mr Tunde Lemo, said the apex bank had earlier announced its decision to move the local currency from polymer back to paper, but disclosed that all the notes in circulation would not be withdrawn at the same time.
“Nigerians will be having new generation notes in paper in the next few months. We will wait until the notes wear tear. When they wear, and they travel back to Central Bank, of course they will be re-issued,” he stated.
According to him, the life cycle of a note in Nigeria is between six months and a year and if CBN took that decision six months ago, “I reckon that in the next three to six months, you will begin to see these denominations re-appear in paper.”
He said that, the Central Bank would have started producing the lower denomination notes in paper by the middle of last year, but due to logistics challenges, the plan was not accomplished.
“My plea is that Nigerians should be patient with us. It wasn’t the fault of the CBN; it is just because we have to go back to the drawing board. We will correct that in the course of the year. Polymer certainly will be phased out. In fact, no new note is being printed in polymer now,” said Lemo.
On the scarcity of the lower denomination notes, Lemo blamed inflation and commercial banks for what he called “low transactionary value” and “poor circulation,” respectively.
“For the lower denomination, well, I think the banks are really the ones that are really not allowing the lower denomination in circulation, largely, because of the cost and carrying value.
“Most people don’t require small denomination. But for buying things in the market, if you look at the veracity, you find out that it is the people that are losing interest because of its bulkiness and inflation,” he said.
Lemo said this should be done to ensure effective protection of the currency from abuse.

Kanye West criticized President Obama, during a recent interview on Philly’s Hot 107.9 radio in US, and even went so far as to make a veiled threat of violence.

Kanye West told Philly's Radio US, that fellow Chicago native Obama “used to come and visit me and my momma and tell me he was gonna run for President.” But after the President called him a “jacka**” in 2012, and then criticized West’s fiancée, Kim Kardashian and her family, all good will is out the window.
“The President likes to use that type of thing just to be down,” West claimed. “People were fine with me being everybody’s punching bag for five years … He also used that too, like ‘[Kanye's] a jacka** because that’s how the world felt. I don’t care if somebody’s the president or not … I think that he shouldn’t mention my baby mama’s name.”
