Here's INEC's oath before the court of law affirming that they were present when the ADC NEC ratified Mark and Aregbe as leaders of the party and reminding the courts that no court has jurisdiction over the internal affairs of a party.

INEC never denied their presence did they? But INEC are only there to observe. To even imagine INEC was supporting the nonsense at first is clear signs of partizan character. The case is in court now and it's obvious the court has jurisdiction since the court is ready to hear the argument.

SC clearly says court can't interfere unless it's party's constitution or Nigerian constitution that's threatened. ADC has a constitution and the law is the law.

We can't eat our future. If oil prices are high use the money to fix things we need not nonsense subsidy noise everywhere..fix all roads with concrete, improve power transmission and force disco to also improve on distribution capacity. Invest in tech and human resources. Like they are giving 45m to start ups now, give more start up and let it be long term long not freebies. At least 10,000 start ups in real sector of the economy. And of course seriously invest in security architecture like drones and all to wipe out terrorists in bushes.

Because that oil won't be high forever but if we have these things in place we can have a reasonable society.

Unfortunately, the opposition itself cannot really be trusted as a decent alternative. Also, it would be hard for anyone to believe anyone will only run a single term. Even if Obi wants a single term, once he's in office interest that benefits will find excuses. It happened with Jonathan so no one can trust that.

Atiku was the one who spearheaded zoning in PDP to be in their constitution back then thinking he will succeed OBJ and that's why OBJ was even forced to abandon his support for Odili and chose Yaradua but now same Atiku is claiming NE hasn't ever been in power which is right anyways.

I personally don't see a way out because if Atiku spends 8 years, Kwankaso and El Rufai or Tambuwal ambitions will be over.

Also, the North would rather in my opinion do another 4 years waiting and get their 8 years but in politics nothing is decided.

However, one major factor is the governors. You can't claim someone with 31 governors with must of them facing reelection will work against their party especially with new electoral law. The reasons Atiku and Obi were able to win some states last time was the governors were majorly leaving.

Then of course, there's the God factor.

It's not as if Wike is strong, Wike is just smarter than all of them.
Wike group approach a a federal high court in Abuja to stop Pdp from holding convention, Instead of Makinde to appeal the judgement in Ibadan in his own turf/territory, he went and obtain a state high court judgement.
Makinde played a kindergarten kind of politic there.

Are Wike and Tinubu really smart or opposition are just dumb and stupid? When you look at the way people who lead us think you will wonder if they are truly the best we can produce. How did these guys become successful in business? How can you be so foolish and stupid at the same time? All the judgements in Wike's group favour had always been because of basic strategy.

For over a year, Wike warned and was shouting that they should leave Anyway alone to finish his tenure, they said No, just a month to the end of the tenure they suspended him. Who does that? Allow him use that one month and replace him. Na that foolish mistake dey cause all these madness now. I'm disappointed how Makinde and Bala are governors. It's probably why both never made major progress in their states anyways. Look at Osun too, Adeleke wanted to corner all LG funds and refused to do election, by the time SC handicapped him, the councils were empty when judgement favoured APC and they took over. If he had conducted elections as fast as possible and not sat on LG funds, the councils wouldn't have been empty but now he's using emotional blackmail to blame APC. All of these are just not only corrupt but stupid join sef making Wike and Tinubu look brilliant.

Why are idiots always blaming the judiciary?. Even the losers (Makinde and Turaki) will never say the judgement was fraudulent because they all knew they were banking on luck. There was two different judgements stopping the convention but they still went ahead forgetting that an Oyo state high court doesn't have appeal or SC.

All the judgements against them has been based on the fact that they ignored court judgement not to hold that Amala convention. Makinde just wasted Oyo state's money on that nonsense.

Continue banking on luck o and not facts.

If Makinde laboured to build PDP will he be doing everything to destroy it? Is it today that parties endorse candidates outside their party? I have made the analysis here severally

Aba can generate 60 billion dollars from garment and lather industry

If govt doesn't allow for importation, Abia shoes will be expensive. Also, mind you the real raw materials Abia uses are also imported. People like Peter Obi and his cronies used cheap imports to make money and that destroyed manufacturing sector. Even Dangote is now producing locally but Obi doesn't even have a local palm oil mill. He's still one of the largest importers today in the country. He understands trade but obviously doesn't understand manufacturing because if he does, he would practice what he preaches. He may not be as corrupt but even Buhari wasn't corrupt but was also very confused.

Tinubu failed in security and health but on reforms he has done very well and reforms are actually what we needed to survive. With time reforms bring benefits, OBJ started banking reforms and that has helped us till date with stronger banks. GEJ did power reforms and decade later Abia is getting uninterrupted power..with time other states will follow. Na reforms we really need not lies they are all telling. Obi hasn't even promised any reforms.

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said that the National Convention of the People’s Democratic Party scheduled for March 29 and 30 will go ahead as planned, saying efforts at reconciling with aggrieved members will continue after the convention.

The Minister, who also said that the PDP will shock Nigerians by using the 2027 general elections to show its strength, dismissed the appeal filed at the Supreme Court by the Tanimu Turaki group, noting that it has no effect on the convention.

Speaking after inspecting the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Velodrome, the convention venue in Abuja, on Friday night, the Minister explained that reconciliation is a continuous process.

He was accompanied by Chairman of the National Convention Planning Committee, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, PDP Board of Trustees Chairman, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, Chairman of the National Caretaker Working Committee (NCWC), Mohammed Abdulrahman, National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, and other members of the NCWC, as well as Chairman of the Rivers State Elders Council, Chief Ferdinand Alabraba, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche and others.

The Minister emphasized that the convention will proceed, while efforts to resolve internal disputes will continue afterwards.

“There is room for accommodation. The PDP is a very large party. Look at the umbrella, it is wide enough to accommodate everyone.

"I have always said that in any group, there will be grievances. You cannot expect that in a family of two or three people, everyone will always be satisfied let alone a party with millions of members. There will always be a few who are not happy. We have agreed to sit down with them, understand their concerns, and see how we can accommodate them. What is most important is the overall interest of the party.”

On the zoning arrangement, the Minister confirmed that positions have already been allocated across regions.

“We have already zoned our positions. Every zone has its own slots. The presidency has been zoned to the South, while the chairmanship is zoned to the North. We believe this consensus arrangement will make the process easier.

"For the first time, the PDP is presenting a unified front, rather than the usual ‘unity list’ that often reflects internal divisions. There are no factions everyone has agreed on the direction we are taking.”

The Minister also addressed the level of preparedness for the convention, saying; "We are fully prepared. This visit is to assess final arrangements. As I said, we are about 95 percent ready, and by tomorrow, everything will be set.

"Seating arrangements for all states have been completed, and the VIP section is ready. We do not expect more than 2,500 delegates.”

The convention is scheduled to hold on Sunday, March 29, and Monday, March 30.

If I remember correctly, AD in 2003 refused to have a Presidential candidate and adopted Obasanjo instead. Not sure anyone saw it as one party system then. I see PDP doing better than ADC.
