Dear All, if you're going to Hungary to study and work (self sponsored), you have to work hard and do your mathematics very well cos e no easy but it is possible to get it done. Their economy no dey laugh at all but nevertheless, I meet some Nigerians getting it done and Dem no get two heads.

I meet two guys that do travel to Vienna every weekend to work and come back to Budapest on Monday. One is in his final year and the other is currently doing his MSc. Very cool headed guys. They told me that they came in with visit visa through Greece, and small small dem land for Hungary. A lot of stories when you meet guys. That one no mean say make you go do wetin you go fall hand o! Another man food is another man poison. I'm not preaching corner corner way but some ways dey take person to his dreamland.

So right now I don't know if the application was successful or not since the embassy did not specify in their email.

Can anyone tell me if the embassy informs the applicant when the visa is issued? Because I received a mail from the embassy telling me they have received the decision from Hungary and that i should send the courier to pick up my passport but they didn't mention if my application was successful or not.

Though you need millions as balance (at least 4 to 5 million) but the volume of transactions carried by the customer (your sponsor) will be stated on the statement for such period in which the statement was printed. I think you're good to go.

I want to apply for a student visa for Hungary but I have one problem I wish you advice me.

My sponsor has prepared the letter of financial responsibility and attached his bank statement from 3 months and his fidelity investment statement to prove his financial viability.

But only, on the bank statement, there is actual traceable financial transactions with deposits and withdrawals but then the account balance is not encouraging. I must precise that he is using his current/checking account.

Now my question. Can I use the bank statement to apply for my visa? My interview comes up in 10 days.
