Culture / Are Ukwuani People Of Delta State Igbos? by CamilleGolgi: 3:25am On Apr 17, 2016 |
I was browsing through Wikipedia pages on Nigeria ethnic groups, and notes about the Ukwuani people got my attention. I am an Igbo person from Anambra state and I always consider other Igbo speakers on the south south region as Igbo people too. In the past (based on my research and traditional Igbo tales), Igbos were known for strong warriors and traveling traders, and most of them traveled far across the Niger river to trade/business. Many of this ancient Igbo warriors and traders settled on whatever land they could govern on their own(Igbos don't have kings, so they always tried to stay away from the Ezes). Based on my personal research, I believe Igbo speakers like the Ukwanis, Ika-igbo, Ndokwas, and so on, are decedants of these ancient Igbo warriors and traders. My question is, are Ukwuanis Igbos? Ukwuani people please speak up. No insults please. |

I'm from Abbi and a typical Igbo man. Others should keep hiding their shells. Truth be told, Igbos are not also helping matters. Some see those across the Niger as none Igbos and such has created an identity crisis. We have to integrate all. |

ManMountain:You and your oba are tout. Akiolu has no home training. He's lost respect. The news is everywhere and see how people are lashing him with curse. He's what the bible call foolish son. He shall be dethroned by our creator . |

Are you sure that's an Oba's voice I just listened to on sound cloud. He sounds more like a tout and not a learned modern king. I think Akiolu or whatever he calls himself needs thorough psychological diagnosis by a psychiatrist. He's a shame to himself and not to Yoruba nation. He doesn't represent the generality of the good people of yoruba land. Shame to you Akiolu. |

ManMountain:You're a fool. I never knew people like you exist. Instead of you to condemn an act you're there typing out your stupidity. I'm not an Igbo, but I think Akiolu or whatever is a fool or should I say an ignoramus. |

Romance / Re: "No Nigerian Girl Is Beautiful"-Nigerian Gay Pastor (see His Reasons Lol) by CamilleGolgi: 5:02pm On Aug 13, 2014 |
The truth is bitter. Ladies be natural. No impure thing will ever see Him. Next you will say, its a thing of the heart. God has sent many, His prophets, and many others. Only few pastors will tell you this because many of them only crave for their pocket. Be natural as a woman. Be natural as a man. If God detest all this thing, then nothing impure shall see Him. In those days many shall be lovers of themselves instead of lover of God. In those days they will see nothing wrong with indecency, pride, immorality. They shall be lovers of themselves. Those days, they shall believe more in lies instead of truth. Many shall be deceived. The beauty of these days cannot be compared to that of the past when even the sons of God came to have the feel of our women though because of lost. If you think you're beautiful, remove those artificial hair, artificial nails, artificial eye lash, fixed tooth, remove those brazillian hair and maintain your natural beauty. If you can do this, I bet you, even the devil will be after you like in the days of old. I wouldn't also blame many who will counter what I wrote. My prayer is that God will touch the hearts of many to come to the light. “ IT IS INFERIORITY COMPLEX AND LACK OF CONFIDENCE THAT MAKES MANY WOMEN OVERSHADOW THEIR BEAUTY. May God help us all in Jesus name. Amen. Regards. |

Adufetohposh: story for the gods! We are all wonderfully made sistersWonderfully made but not artificially made. So ladies stop putting on those gbanguans. If you're trully wonderfully made then be natural . Lack of confidence in oneselve makes most ladies put on those artificial things. Be natural, be confident and with this you will be wonderful. |

emlilshady: LOL!!so the guy roams like this?chai!! nah lack of job cos am?how long has he been on the thread? In response to your aforementioned question, I have been on this thread since 2012 as emmanuel4fire and later CamilleGolgi. Nairaland has been of help to me. I have met friends through nairaland who have been of help to me. People like FOF4u, prince, generalemperor, samobaba, physioman just to mention but a few. I believe the essence of information and communication is to contribute positively and also to condemn any unawesome attitude. President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan still remain one of the most admired of all Presidents since independent. Only a mad man and an unreasonable person would beat his parents naked outside. Why would a reasonable person lay unclad his ruler in the public jokingly for political gain yet expect an applause from the public. Even if your parents were wrong, no passer-by would support you. I've even witnessed a situation were the public brutally murdered a young man for doing such. In Nigeria, we know things are not going the way it should, but that doesn't give us the effrontery to disrespect our leaders and mock them in the public. The best way to approach our leaders is either to rebuke them openly through the media or one or one or better still advise them. ”Im not trying to campaign for him" . It takes the grace of God for you to be your real self when on money or in powerful position. If you doubt me, Stark your parents naked and see me in action. So don't mock your parents in the public @engrfarouk . Let's bury the hatchet and focus on our aims for this thread. I rest my case engrfarouk n the quoted. 1 Like |

@leeze1 100 . Young woman don't risk what you're about doing. Take the offer available for now and whenever NN shortlist you can always switch. He go come out. He go come out. What of if he no come out or your name no dey? Please don't make such mistake. A bird at hand is better than million species in the forest. Hold what you have now. Lay your eggs in many baskets and incubate on all. Some might hatch into chicks while some might spoil. So be guided young woman. Onward together. |

Lerrie John: I wish I could say marriage is sweet, or marriage is bitter, or marriage is forever, or marriage will lead to divorce, or marriage means you and your partner will always love each other, never fight, never cheat, never flirt. Or that you guys will be able to always complete each other's sentences, read each other's thoughts, be always supportive of the other, or be forever sexually attractive and never boring.Lorrie I love your post. You've said it all. |
