The entire process of study abroad, from start to finish, of applying, processing and securing admission into colleges and universities abroad can be a very complex task, depending on factors such as varying requirements, popularity and ranking of schools, peculiar circumstances of students, etc. Typically, the whole process of study abroad involves the following: • Submission of application • Transcripts. Many schools require that your transcripts be evaluated to gain meaningful insights into comparable educational qualifications abroad. Where this is the case, we strongly recommend the services of World Education Services (WES) based in the United States • Proof of English Language Ability. Recommended tests in this regard are International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Pearson Test of English (PTE) and Test Of English as a Foreign Language. Score requirement varies according to schools and intended programs of study. • Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) /American College Test (ACT) for undergraduate programs or Graduate Record Examinations/Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) for graduate programs. Please, note that this requirement does not hold for majority of institutions in European countries including UK. • Academic or professional letters of recommendation (especially for graduate programs) • Personal statement of intent, specifying your motivation for your intended program of study, job experience if any, participation in any non-academic organization or community service if any, expectations at the end of the program, previous accomplishments educational or otherwise, description of your person and how all the aforementioned fit in to make you the most suitable candidate for the program. Where word count is prescribed, be sure to comply strictly • Application Fees: Please, take note that not all schools charge application fees. This may vary between $20 and $200. • Wait for the decision of the school. The period of waiting usually vary between 2 weeks and three months. For more information, pls visit www.mcfedututors.com |
