bisbad0878:Hello. This profession is in very high demand in the Atlantic. I will advise you visit job sites in the Atlantic area and apply with Canadian style resume highlighting your expertise and experience in truck driving. Make sure you check for companies into haulage and logistics. I bet you they will even been willing to pay for whatever it takes to bring you to Canada at the shortest possible time. Good luck |
Ofuresarah:I will share links once am able to as well as designated employers for all the provinces. Cheers |
Ofuresarah:As you may have known, you cannot get a job from a different region and use it for the AIPP. From that first link you can navigate to all province in Canada and explore jobs from the Atlantic region as well. The second link that has the NW territories may be explored as options. The difficulty experienced in job search is that employers do not want to go through the stress involved with bringing in a foreign National. However, if they meet a stumbling block recruiting an Inland, then one may just be fortunate to be considered. So "be prepared" is the magic. Have your ECA and IELTS done and ensure your CV and cover letter is tailored to Canadian styles. Finally, make sure you download the current list of designated employers in the four Atlantic Provinces. Then send CVs to maybe 5 a day. Boom! You might just be fortunate. Cheers. |
Ofuresarah:You are welcome. For all you out there, try kijiji.ca for jobs. They also posed this job which I think you might all try out. https://careers.northwest.ca/?JOBSHAREL5CO7PRB3KASGZSV5HX4XEOOMTI2MXD6IXPBH6T3KKAWDRFWDQU5HSSQYVZHDM2RYIB2PU2QRDZ5FSGOYZ422O33ERELINBU7A2EQ Good luck! |
Ofuresarah:Hi. Its not meant for only people in Canada. Just go ahead to register with the needed info. For example, are you legally permitted......? The answer should be "No". It will not stop you from registering. Cheers. |
Ofuresarah:Halos, I am ready to assist as best as I can. 1. Register with job bank and search for openings 2. Visit all four Atlantic provinces' websites and download the designated employers. 3. Each province also have job portals. Explore it. 4. For designated employers, check LinkedIn pages for possible job openings and apply. 5. Endeavour to tailor your CV and cover letter to Canadian styles and send unsolicited application for job interests. 6. Apply widely and do not give up. Its gonna take time and effort. But am sure it will work out. 7. Pray for favour. Let me know if you need anything else. Cheers. Am currently waiting for endorsement certificate from the province. |

Eraytee:This is not actually true I must say. AIPP is not sector bias, meaning that an employer can employ from any sector. Also the job must be full time job and not seasonal. Therefore, pay is according to the standards demanded for whatever sector or job the individual is employed. In my case, I got a managerial job full time |
lolyx:Thanks, and Amen. So for the Settlement process, your employer may recommend one to you to use for the needs assessment. All you need do is to register for a session online. However, you cannot register without your employer code and signed offer letter which is a customised-like form from the province. The session involves a group session (with other potential PR applicants globally) which typically lasts 5hrs straight, and then some few days, you will be invited to attend the individual planning session tailored to suit you or your family's needs for settlement. That lasts 2.5hrs. Afterwards your plan is mailed to you. |
MadeInTokyo:There is actually no one path to it. In my case, I went to the NB site and downloaded the list of designated employers. I then started checking out their sites to see if there were job adverts. Some had some did not. Also, I checked each one that had a LinkedIn page to see if they had job postings there. Some again, just sent unsolicited. That way, one will be casting the net far and wide. Its time consuming but, maybe rewarding at the end. |
ninab:My employer told me that it is usually anywhere from 14 days to 60 days. Have you done your settle plan? You need the document sent to your employer who will, in turn, submit it to with the complete endorsement form. Then the 14 -60 days wait. Once the endorsement certificate is mailed to you, then you can apply for PR and/or Temp permit, if you do not want to wait for the 4-6 months PR. |
Lotusflowerbomb:Hahahahha. The journey is still far, but we will surely get there. So sorry i cannot give you the weather gist ![]() |

DAramis:Thanks. So I started the journey in 2016 with the hope of migrating through the Express Entry. I evaluated my credentials with IQAS and sat for IELTS in 2016. I could not make the cut-off. I was 33 years with just a kid then. The AIPP program just was introduced then. I became interested in using that route, however, the hurdle of getting an employer was very high to climb. Fast word to 2019, still in the process but my IELTS has expired, I started applying widely to employers who were designated in the 4 provinces in the Atlantic. It was tedious but at last, an employer from NB came to the rescue. After 2 rounds of online interviews after assessing my CV, they decided to sponsor my application. Since they were designated, it was quite easy for them. I got the offer in September 2019 and had to rewrite the IELTS in October since the previous one was expired. Submitted to them when the result came out ( I had a band of 7.5). My ECA was still valid. So presently waiting for endorsement. Sector- Marketing |
Hello all. Have been reading for while and will like to be active at this stage. I got a job offer in New Brunswick and will be migrating via the AIPP. I just completed my planning session and currently waiting for endorsement certificate. Hope we can rub minds here. |
