BUT!!! If for whatever reason the DNA is not tested till around 13, and the dad has had the child since infancy, he should be encouraged to focus on raising the child to 18.
Infants are sweet but teenagers can be very difficult; so there'd naturally be temptation to throw them out. The idea is to help men avoid that temptation!

Crates was very wealthy, although he gave all away, based on his principles and he told your girl that if she wanted to follow him she had to do same and she obliged.
