HEADIES 2015 AWARD SET TO HOLD DECEMBER 30TH – SEE FULL LIST OF NOMINEES
Organisers of The Headies Awards have announced that the 2015 ceremony will hold on Wednesday December 30 at the Landmark Events Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos. The annual event, which recognizes outstanding work by Nigerian music talents and rewards them in grand style is expected to attract the crème de la crème of Nigeria’s entertainment industry including superstar musicians, A-list Nollywood artistes, media personalities and many others.

Throwing more light on the format of this year’s award nominations, Ayo Animashaun stated:
“This year, only music released between July 2014 and June 2015 was eligible for nomination”.

Afro pop star Kelly Hansome has taken to Facebook to chide artistes who are living fake lives above their means, calling on them to fall back to reality or face the worst that will come later.

He said there is nothing for an artiste in the fake world especially for those who live by the code, ‘Fake it till you make it’ and that it pays to live in the real world where the artiste can live like himself with nothing to lose in the future.

He went ahead to call on artistes who are running to luxurious parts of Lagos just to earn people’s respect to quit the act because it will only be a matter of time before they will realize that they have nothing and start falling back to the ‘hood’ as losers.

Following claims by fans that P-Square music videos has stopped airing on SoundcityTV , Peter Okoye of the P-Square fame, has disclosed that SoundCity TV has refused to play their songs and did absolutely nothing for them over the past years.
The songster took to his Tweeter handle on Thursday to reveal that the television station intentionally refused to play their songs, for reasons they could not disclose.

At least he’s not being thrown to the curb. Despite his move to Madrid falling through, De Gea has been named in United champions league squad.

De Gea was set to join Madrid on Monday, with United agreeing to £29 million plus Keylor Navas for the Spanish shot stopper, but the deal fell through at the last minute.

Both clubs have issued statements blaming each other for the deal falling through. Louis Van Gaal has moved on though, naming De Gea in his squad for the champions league.
Valdes was dropped, with Romero and Johnston competing with De Gea. Martial and Wilson will compete with Rooney, and Mata also made the cut.
