justscorchone:The season pass is free. I believe they even drastically reduced the ultimate edition. The actual game isn't obviously free. I myself swiftly "bought" the season pass once I noticed it was free. It's been on my wishlist since... |
Thegamingorca:Duh. CoD never seems to follow this logic, they still expect you to pay big bucks for AW season pass. |
Thegamingorca:SWB2 doesn't have a season pass. |
hakinze00:It's also free on Origin (PC). Actually, I believe you can still get it without PS+. Although, you'd still need it to actually play it online with people. **shrugs** they're weird like that. |
Party Monster by The Weeknd. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diW6jXhLE0E For some reason, I've had this song on repeat while playing Overwatch tonight. |
EmmGee:I think you meant 'you'... |
Zeze06:Eyah, poor you. |
Zeze06:Wrong on both counts. |
Zeze06:If you like rotate the smiley 90 degrees... ![]() |

Zeze06:BS, his only regret is that he can't collect money from his child. He wants to reap where he didn't sow. |
Minemrys:ASM's Peter Parker is a hipster and way too cool. ASM2 is just them trying to cram everything in there to make a shared universe...and failing. That Rhino & Spidey fade to black ending is just a slap in the face, since it was heavily featured in the marketing, only to lead to nothing. BvS lost the plot because it was trying to set up a shared universe too quickly, thereby not telling a proper story about the two folks it was supposed to be about. WW is nowhere near as saturated as Bats and Supes, so slow your roll. Or have you forgotten that Supes & Batman are on their own reboots? WB/DC has been rushing this since they started their DCEU, they should focus on their current projects, Flash is still free-falling. But, I can understand WW, as long as the production goes as smoothly as its previous one, it will be fine. That's not propaganda, it's representation, deal with it. The current climate is diverse, in fact, it has always been diverse, we are simply living in a time where women can actually have a say and LGBTQ can actually state their sexuality without consequence - of course there are still consequences, even in our own country, but compared to say a worldwide stigmata like Oscar Wilde and Alan Turing being prosecuted for their sexuality in the past, even after what Turing did in the war for the Brits, he still got chemically castrated for being a gay man afterwards. Now, as for the fanatics, bigots and whatnots with actual propaganda, well that one na another thing. |
Kingrapha:Nope, they have the same director, but they certainly don't have the same themes at all at all. Arrival ain't neo noir, it's a drama. Nope. One is about replicants and what it means to be human and really wanting to be seen as human, based on a Philip K. Dick novel. While, the other is basically a story about communication and the life of a woman, who learns an alien language that allows her to live her life in a non-linear fashion, who decides to still live her life in the same way, even though she knows what lies ahead...that also happens to have aliens in it, based on a short story by Ted Chiang. |
Kingrapha:I liked Arrival, but this is simply a sequel to Blade Runner, which is nothing like Arrival. waywardpikin:WW reminds me of CA:TFA, they both play like golden age comics come to life on the big screen. They told a coherent story and stayed true to her character. Let's be frank, story-wise they stayed on track with the point and didn't try to put everything and the kitchen sink into it. It was a fish out of water story, in fact, it was 2 fish out of water stories - Diana's and Steve's. Plus, the emotional moment in the climax worked, even if the climax is known for its over reliance on CGI & that bloody moustache! There was also character development, Diana started out as naive and saw everything in black and white, but thanks to the short time she spent with Steve and co, by the end of the film, she realised that man's world isn't black and white, it's grey. Plus, Jenkins brought out some actual acting chops out of Gadot and now she really is Diana, Princess of Themyscira AKA Wonder Woman. It's quite the shame that Allen Heinberg isn't coming back, his script was good, not perfect or great, but better than the previous fare from BvS & SS. Yes, I had fun watching SS, but the plot was just rubbish, the first act made me wish they just did origin films for the characters or made the film like 5 hours long. Well, everybody knows how much BvS annoyed me, even though I actually understood what they were trying to do, they should have simply released the ultimate cut, 'cause the fake Superman massacre didn't make a lick of sense, since they never showed us or told us, we had to turn into detectives to sort that one out. Plus, the theatrical cut made Clarke into an incompetent investigative reporter. Yes, Snyder visual director, but not great storyteller. I will not talk about Alexander Luthor, Jr. Any non-comic fan that followed the film from MoS would have been hella confused with the nightmare sequence. Minemrys:I actually really liked Homecoming, it's just a shame it was the third reboot. ASM shouldn't have happened. Inhumans turned into a sinking ship, that only one Marvel TV executive really wants, hence why we're getting what looks like a craptastic and cheap Inhumans tv series. Plus, the disconnect this Inhumans might have with the Inhumans on Earth from AoS will just provide further diconnect the MCU TV shows have with the MCU films. That guy should have just let it go. I'm actually more ticked off about the standalone Black Widow film that they passed up. Then, they tried to dangle the possibility years later and we all just side eyed them. They're rushing WW because it really resonated with the public, right now she's even bigger than DCEU Supes in the public eye. They should just get scriptwriter back as well. Yes, Hollywood needs variety, but the problem is when they get fresh original ideas, they kind of kill it by not advertising it or just interfere so much it turns shtako or they get really limited releases. |
Kingrapha:I'm still on the fence about this, since Hollywood seems to just want to do sequels or reboots to beloved classics/franchises. Haven't watched a single trailer for this. Who knows? I might just randomly stroll to the cinema one day and just watch it, since it's sci-fi. |
Minemrys:I dey-o, I've been quiet on this thread, it's been turning into the same old rants, so I just didn't bother to comment until my inevitable mini review from whenever I do the midnight screening for a DCEU film. My verdict for WW remains - it did not suck. |
TonySpike:Sparring sessions are good, but when folks keep using the same combos - it gets boring real quick. |
badinfluence:Remember, he isn't here to argue , only to state his opinion... Never underestimate the fanboys on both sides. Especially, when they start to pick & mix facts without using them in proper context, especially y'all on here. Let's be frank, y'all talk way too much about MCU here. It's like you're always itching for a fight or justification. I've never seen folks so happy about the hair & make up Oscar especially for a non-period film, kinda feel sorry for Star Trek: Beyond. Oh well, congrats on the Oscar.Usually, I'd have written a missive pointing out a well thought out rebuttal, but alas, I ain't got time to waste talking to the equivalent of a brick wall buried underneath the Sahara desert. So instead, I just enjoy the ironic musings, while following both threads and watching people attempt to rile other people up. While, I provide some meh commentary. |
Kingrapha:You're simply here to pretend to not to start an argument . You know what you're trying, we know what you're trying to do. Move on. |
efilimu:If you like continue whining. |
xarookqh:It's a thing that often happens with some shows that I follow religiously till the end. I still haven't watched the season finale of Burn Notice. While, I finally watched the final seasons of White Collar & Person of Interest after I rewatched the previous seasons first after 2-3 years and a year respectively. I still haven't even watched the second half of the last season of Lost Girl sef. |
KINGOFJAPAN:I still haven't watched the final 2 episodes. Man, this show was just a Tatiana Maslany acting masterclass. I'm gonna miss those clones. |
The Tick. |
efilimu:Na you sabi, it's like y'all just like to look for fight. Continue looking. |
Congratulations Roseey0. I was wondering why I had double digit mentions... |
Kingrapha:Tobey nailed Peter, but his Spidey needed a little more work. Granted, that Tobey's performance has always been my yardstick for live action SM and I really like him as Spidey. Andrew nailed Spidey, but his Peter was too cool and a hipster. Tom nailed Peter and Spidey and really nailed the teen aspect. |
Kingrapha:I already said Spidey was A list, when I mentioned Marvel's big guns - X-Men, Spidey and F4. Abi your definition of big guns means C list? Avengers wasn't bigger than X-Men. You can even say it was B list sef, but it wasn't their big guns. |
Kingrapha:It's like you just want to argue for argument's sake. I already stated that Spidey and WW are in the big leagues, so you might want to quit trying to needlessly argue. Avengers, whether you like it or not, really became A list due to the MCU. Ask anybody who grew up in the 90s about Marvel brands, it's X-Men & Spidey they will remember because they had awesome cartoon shows. No one remembers the terrible IM cartoon. While, DC killed it with their DCAU. Warcraft flopped like most video game adaptations flop. In fact the only really successful video game adaptation is Resident Evil and that doesn't even stay true to its source material. Just because it's a popular gaming franchise doesn't mean it would kill at the box office. Remember, what works in video games doesn't work in films. In fact, if they ever decide to do an Uncharted film, that might actually work since it's already story driven and already plays like a film. Seriously, imagine if they used their most famous set pieces from the franchise. Christ! Some people go just die for the cinema. Look at Spidey sef, Homecoming simply didn't do the large numbers as expected simply because of Spidey fatigue, this is the third reboot of a franchise that is not up to 20 years, and that's Sony's fault. Which is quite the shame, because they really did get Spidey and Peter Parker in it. I guess Marvel is just happy they can now use him in the MCU. |
