rozayx5: its a smoothed ma google .. golden strategy by russ horn.. download and study if indicators work for u. follow them so does pa also PA does not work for every one.. cause it means different things to different traders if traders on wall street use them .then i guess its useful
me i stuck to it. and it paid.. there are pa dons whp have been trading since 2005 ..nothing to show. so stick to what works for you.
when u leave small timeframes to 4hr plus .. you see better.. those 2 lines give me peace of mind and tell at a glance where the gold market is headed... currentprice: i hope somebody took the euro pair shout seriously Candle never lies
@ Capital God bless you,,,,,,,, if only new traders would learn,,,,,, the candle on your chart says everything you need to do at the right time. it doesn't means you wouldn't loose but i tell you even your wrong trade will be minimal if you listen to your chart,,,,,, let me tell you until you let go indicator completely then success is very sure
ps: i have load of positive pips running on EA and EU
now clue your eyes on GU it about to happen if you know. Yep, all the indicators available to the expert in that story pointed that prices can only increase or base at best. There are guys that make it using indicators, but I think the risk and time to master it isnt worth the effort. And they use their indicators in combination with sup/demand or supprt/resistance so why not invest time perfecting the others instead |

mrikay: I thoroughly agree with this statement, even though I feel it will work better for comodities like gold, oil, etc, where there could be clearer demand. I think Markets are markets, it applies even to our local superstores thats why thy have clearance sales every once in a while at a discount, to get rid of goods that have little to no demand. If we focus on just your chat without indicators, we could be able to spot supply and demand with time and practice |

drbashfx:

Abeg which ma be the sky blue, cos I get the yellow one for my chart, won't mind adding the sky blue one o.thank you in advance oga rozay. My 2 cents today (not like its worth anything) I think its best you try to figure out this thing without indicators. Some use support and resistance, others supply and demand and so on. I m more comfortable with supply and demand co I got my proofs from the bible ( hope I wont get called names now ) Dntwant to type much so I ll try to summarise.... There was an instance in the bible were there was famine, and the prophet said by this time tomorow a morsel of wheat will be sold for so cheap, an expert said even if God opens up the windows of heaven its not possible, and it happened as the prophet had said, why? Some lepers approached the camp of their enemies and the enemies fled leaving behind surplus of goods. The people went in to get the spoils and all of a sudden there was surplus supply, everyone had food and didn't need to buy anymore. and wherevr the is surplus supply and no buyers prices naturally tank. Thats how the prophesy was fulfilled. Hope it makes sense to at least one person. I m out but open to critism |

Capitals: The beauty of markets, seeing different perspectives yield a profit. Admire what you are doing, I m one of them who don't believe day traders make money in forex, so you can imagine how humbled I am seeing a day trader actually churning in profits. But its still quite early for me to jettison my notion that day traders dont make reasonably consistent profits over lenghty periods of time. That said, I m buying as you see, and its doing great Cant help but notice ziqqs absence, I hope things are going good with you. |

naijababe: I will look to buy around 189.00/188.9x area, that is if it does not smash through that level I dont see it smashing through without a fight, its at 190.45 presently. Would have bought at the open but for the reason I mentioned earlier. I definitely wont buy it now anyway, unless I want to use a large stop and small lot size. cos we are approaching the origin of a 100pip gap and anything can happen there |

Shevychen2: @ Capitals
I get it now.. Didn't know the parable was meant for me.. Well like Endfx said, we all have different trading temperaments.
I can't sleep with my two eyes closed knowing my trades are running. This is why I prefer to enter and close daily. Knowing fully well that the daily pip range of the pairs I trade barring any day of major shakes is circa 150-200 pips, it made sense for me to be taking off at 1:1..
When I began this style, I left TP open. After a month I analysed my personal journal and saw that although I made a decent return for the month, it would improve greatly if I didn't allow too many trades to hit BE after going over 100pips or closing at 30-40 pips. I used an excel to run a few things during the making of this decision and I found out that a system with at least 70% accuracy used with 1:1 RR can leave you very comfortable each year.
In the past 3 months I have done exactly that and the results have been lovely. I may make more if I change the R:R like you said but I am not cut out for holding trades overnight or for days. I always tamper with it or else I would have moved to weekly. Anyone that can do so should by all means enjoy. Brilliant, The average daily range is also an integral part of my strategy, but I pegged it at 100-120pts. Two people can indeed see the same thing differently and both will be right. The beauty of this business we have chosen to invest our time in. |

naijababe: Wow!!! Never really saw it that way, that is profound. Will remember that always. Honestly, I was hoping shevy would get it. but if what he said about his trading pattern is true, then I m confident it will eventually make sense to him. cos I did the exact same thing he said he does and still do it. If I m right about what you think you said, you wont lose money (I hope so) but you ll discover how to get more. and yes, daily and weekly is what I do. disregard that the chart I posted was a 4hr chart, wasnt even thinking of the 4hr time frame when I took those positions. Madam naijababe was spot on when she pointed the weeklies and dailies to you, I also look at the monthlies. |

pocoapoco88: dia is somtin called VALUE in any investment dat involves risk and dat is wot most traders lack.we r told dat gud risk:reward of 1:3,1:5 or more wud kip u in profit on d long run but wot r d chances of netting such returns? Extremely low.the product of d chances of winning and d ROI is wot VALUE is all abt ,and until a trader understands dis, trading wil remain a myth 2 him.wish i cud go deeper into dis rich piece of information bt it's redundant besides wot most want most is strategy, strategy and strategy which barely giv dem dia desired results.however like dey say different strokes 4 different folks Like the way your ended you point of view, 'different strokes for different folks', 1:3, 1;5, 1;10 are all possible but may be difficult while day trading currencies. Honestly got three trades going, but append 2 that show its achievable consistently. but the truth is these set ups rarely popup for me. My 2 cents...... From the parable of the sower (Bible), some seeds (trades) need to yield 30, 60 and 100 folds alongside the seeds (trades) thats spring up fast but are choked by the weeds (1;1.5) and the others that spring up fast but lack dept (1:1). That was for shevychen, felt like I was telling of myself when I read through were you are on the learning curve (we are all learners)
