jorel1:Nice one boss, I favor a buy though. but could be very wrong |
Shevychen2:Yep, provides more time for engagement in other worthwhile activities especially now that I m on leave and my day job as well when I have to be at the office. I got better at deciding which ones are retests with time, but was easier for me cos I m looking at several pairs so there's is no pressure to trade a pair that I m doubtful is a retest. but you are looking at a handful sort of restrictive but perfect if it works for you. Got a GBPAUD buy an offshoot of the GBPUSD you talked of, but the tp is much smaller, 350pts, and I have just one trade. that's what I was referring to by handling each trade differently, but the process for taking the trade is exactly the same as I would have taken a trade that's gunning for 1000pts and I m taking 4 trades at same price. may yet make a lower low though but its all planned out More green pips to you bro

Lets hope it arrives its destination safely, but I m locking in abt 70-80pts, so at least I can get something in the event of a surprise reversal. Would have handled it slightly differently if I was less busy and could monitor it frequently. would have been checking the channel line and observing for multiple sell signals. Good luck to us |
UsdChf update, we have traded up over 50% from first tp,I wont let it come back to me out for a loss, I will rather take off my risk by bringing to break even and continue my observations
|
Shevychen2:I think the current down move is a retest which reduces the probability of it holding, the profit margin is big though. This is just a pointer that the GBP is a good buy against at least one other currency . I checked and saw GBPAUD. I m closely watching that now. If I get a signal I ll go in light and gun for just 250pts cos I dont see the potential of it going 500pts without a stiff sell response
|
natruetalk:I think I may need to start listening to some news, wasn't aware it was black monday, and a holiday in certain places. havent look at it much since then and have no thoughts on it for now. Thanks Boss |
fxbomovi:Got your message, trying to set up a new mail account to link to here. If you resend I could respond to your mail once I m sure its been taken, cant give my number sir. don't be offended |
A quick check on usdchf, for whoever took it, I m not doing much more than was stated before the trade. for the soft hearted, you can get off now. For those who want to still hold done, its all psychology from here. Think, if you sell here, will you make a profit, how much profit could you make from here, will it be enough to take out your stop? if no, then you could hold on. If yes, then what s you win percentage, if its more than 80% then you could get off, if less than 50% then you could hold. I will also be looking at my technical s to see what they are saying, not like its anything, but someone wrote abt it in a book right? so perhaps it works sometimes. For me I m still holding Quite busy these few days so may not give any update soon. Remember on a 350 account if it goes wrong you are losing $24 if you stuck to my mm suggestion and gaining $120 if it goes well. good luck to us havent had much screen time so nothing new on my portfolio, got an entry for gbpchf, may yet post a lower low. I m not willing to take a lower low on chfjpy, and you already know of USDCHF

Shevychen2:Had to revisit my chart to see your prices, I get the feeling you treat each trade the same way, that didnt work for me, dont know if it is working for you. Not every trade can deliver the 600+pts and deciding which can deliver this may be challenging for a start, thats why I dnt treat each trade same way in terms of number of positions and tp. I see some setups that I estimate could yield 50pts - 150 max but generally overlook, cos I ll risk the same for the trade that ll yield 1200 but I m targeting just 900 How about if you beat down lot size and keep a tiny portion dedicated to the long runs, that way you trade as usual and still leave the door opened for the long runs. Thats what I do if I want to take a quick 100 like you do. Did you check my Usdcf call, were will you have placed tp? |
Shevychen2:Been a bit busy lately, would have responded earlier. If I sell a pair I tend to check were I will likely buy again and place tp around such regions. I also take into consideration regions were there could be a bounce, 100 - 200pts reversals and factor all of that in. Irrespective of how cautious we are the losses will come and the wins will also come, the only thing we can really do is decide how big the losses and the wins are, so why not take big wins and small losses. I learnt that from the ''Parable of the sower'' |
make sure MM is on point if you are taking this, cos I do take losses and this may well be one of them (just so we are same page, if I have an account 350 or less I ll take 0.01 lot for this particular trade) I dont post alerts like this cos sometime ago someone got stopped out and I didnt, wasnt fun cos the blame was on me. Here is how I ll monitor to know if I m wrong so you can get off on time and not lose your entire stake, I ll be checking to see if I keep getn contrary signals on the small tf. Good luck to us |
Now that there is relative peace restored to the market, I m looking closely at GBPCHF, optimising USDCHF and CHFJPY(I got stopped out on the first two I was holding for BE due to yesterdays volatility, and it picked my one pending order. Taking some time off my screen for some-days. you can try these if you wish, Buy Usdchf now 0.934x SL 120pts 0.9235 preferably, 1st tp 500pts, 2nd tp 837pts I m believe shevychen has decoded how exactly I run my business now, think so anyway.

Karlebolu:Thanks boss,I m just sort of used to pts. Perhaps because I learnt from stock/futures traders and with them its points and not pips. But it really doesnt matter much to me though, I m more concerned about identifying my trade patterns so I can take advantage of them and hopefully make something. Thanks all, I appreciate the lesson ![]() |
Shevychen2:Honestly bro, I have only God to thank for that, it was market order, happened way too fast, for me act out my plan. NZDcad however went as planned, had 600pts tp hit. I had posted the entry earlier. EURCAD lost, good thn it was light, USDCHF in red.
|
is this news or what, got very lucky here. 600pts in 5 mins? No be expertise ooo, this is the hand of God. I m off, I leave the rest for profesionals.
|
Shevychen2:My watch zone is kind of large, so been xtra cautious. would have preferred the first time up so I could place my stop at todays high on the retrace. initiated new positions on other pairs already so even if it sets up nicely, I most likely will pass or go in very light as I did with EURCAD. I ll rather just nuture my other new positions |
My CHFJPY buy seems to be under performing, tempted to close it to make up for GBPCHF loss earlier. Anyhow, august has been another good month
|
Capitals:Missed the much anticipated EA sell natruetalk referenced, wont be chasing the market. I got to sell EURCAD instead and got some NZDCAD sell, USDCHF buy as consolation. I biggest winner for the month of August hit tp (abt 980pts for last tp target), lost 120pts GBPchf buy this morning. Hunting for sept/oct big winners. Good luck to me
|
Capitals:nt looking good, adjusting sl to 14780, 60pts. Also puttn tp on 1 trade at entry price. Switching attention to usdchf, nzdca |
Capitals:Bought the open as I planned, got just two trades. Risking a combined 200pts to try and get 1000+pts. Watching my small tf to see if signs that I may be wrong show up and wishing everyone a profitable week ![]()
|
jorel1:yep, if the trade pans out nicely then I m hoping we ll breach that level, cos my final tp will be above it. |
jorel1:Bought these friday, got off early. But will buy again if we open at current price levels for a 100pts SL, to jump out if contrary patterns arise. Hopefully it wont gap down 100pts |
endfx1:Like what you did with EURCAD, should get a sell response from that region. will be watching that this week. |
frenchman2:This is exactly what I was referring to then, Now I m looking for signs of weakness to do as you did |
FxDuke:Yep, just make sure you pick the pairs to fade carefully |
lots of swing opportunities, trend exhaustion's. The following weeks should be interesting. I suspect the influence of news events, nt too sure |
Capitals:Observing GbpChf 1 min tf, my newest kid on my block. I hope it goes well
|
jorel1:I think we may auction higher before any significant selling |
Ok, I m really sorry. I see some messages but don't see how I can respond without giving up my full names as my email address contains same. No offence intended, you can refer to me here on the forum and will respond accordingly. If there is a way I can respond without giving up my mail address pls educate me. Thanks for understanding ![]() |
fxsly:Thanks boss, Shifting attention to chf pairs. Eyes off USDJpy, couldn't get an entry |
Shevychen2:Thanks bro, the beauty of having more than one broker. one already stopped me out for a loss 'CADJPY', the others giving me an opportunity damage control and loose just half my stake , And they all giving me my profit
|
natruetalk:Thanks boss, I hope so too |
Kinda hard fishing out these retests for me so I guess I have to stick with taking the ones with the least amount of pips in risk and allow stop loss do its job.
