I don't there is a magic formula that works for everyone. Some people recommend long periods of preparation, while others swear by quick-thinking shortcuts. For me, what matters most is staying calm, relaxed, and clear-headed, so you can answer questions quickly and correctly without guessing or panicking as the clock starts to run down.

On a lighter note, I remember my experience in 2007. I had flown into Abuja from Lagos late the previous night for the first test, where we literally had to fight our way into the ICC because of the sheer number of applicants. I was completely exhausted and actually fell asleep between sections since it was a paper-based test. A fellow test-taker could not believe his eyes and kept berating me for “wasting” a golden opportunity.

I went in with zero preparation and carried the same attitude into the second test and, eventually, the assessment centre in Lagos.

I even arrived late for the assessment centre after first forgetting to make copies of my documents and then getting lost in Lagos Island. I barely made it in time for accreditation

One thing I will say is this: follow the rules and do your best. 🙂

For mine and others that I know have written is deductive. You have 20 mins to answer 18 questions.

I did not see it stated anywhere whether you can or cannot use a sheet of paper, but I did use it and it helped. As for a calculator, I don't think you'll need one, from my experience and that of others. Some people said eye movements will be monitored and "flagged", but I had to look at the paper I am writing on (sir airsaylongcome, please do you have anything to say regarding this from your test experience?). So if you are courageous enough, you can use a sheet of paper and it may be helpful, but if your not, fearing you may be flagged, then do what is best for you.

Yes, it will. Apply for correction of name in your JAMB profile. State "mistaken inclusion of abbreviated middle name during profile creation" as your "reason for correction". Make a paper publication to that effect, submit it alongside requested documents to your students' affairs officer. Your case is quite similar to mine.

I am experiencing a similar problem with my JAMB profile. In my case, my name appears as Ajala Philips Favour on all my other documents, except for my JAMB record, which lists it as Ajala Favour P. Unfortunately, this discrepancy is now reflected on my BSc certificate, creating a significant challenge for me. It is particularly frustrating because it may hinder my chances of pursuing a master's program or other opportunities.

I have been trying to correct this issue, that is, applied for correction of name for over a year, yet I have received no response from JAMB. This has been extremely frustrating. I am so scared that I might miss out on opportunities if this is not corrected as soon as possible. Please, is there any way to resolve this? I would really appreciate any advice from captainbangz on how you successfully made this correction.

Did you make a newspaper publication to this effect when applying for the correction? If no, please do, then reapply. Submit all supporting documents as well as the newspaper publication. I don't how friendly your school's student affairs officer is, but mine was very supportive. He even came up with the idea of a newspaper publication.
