Christianity EtcRe: Is This Right? by CaptMarvel(m): 2:45pm On Mar 21, 2023
movid:
Is it right for a christian to collect money from a politician to vote ?
don't you have your own mind and conscience towards a preferred political party or candidates. If you do and you were swayed away by money to vote for someone else, whether you are a Christian or not, this means that you are a betrayal, you've betrayed your own candidates of choice and such is wickedness.

RomanceRe: I Met A Demon ( A Fallen Angel Of I Am) by CaptMarvel(m): 8:29pm On Mar 18, 2023
Incognito21:
I was on my bed almost about the time am about to fall asleep, It looked like a dream but it wasn’t, my nepa light suddenly ceased, I wanted to on my phone torch light, for the first time my iPhone 13 Pro Max torch light refused to on, it wrote Temp needs to cool down. Then I felt this cold feeling and I felt strong goosebumps all over my body, and it feels like someone is sucking my life out of me, I checked my phone time it was 2am and I was constantly using my phone screen light to light my room up cause I hate darkness, then my legs suddenly start vibrating softly, then my mind tells me something strong is here, suddenly I saw a big figure close to where I dropped my microwave, then I wanted to shout Jesus, then my other mind was telling me not to shout it, I should be quiet and the figure will disappear, then this big figure started talking to me but wasn’t speaking, I was hearing it in my mind, just the way your conscience speaks to you, the figure said that it will be with me some other event, that I should call it moon Gasha, and if I’m willing to create an event I should call on it, stare at the moon and call moon gasha it will create an event with me, this figure was speaking to me through my mind and wasn’t speaking any language and in my mind I was receiving it and understanding it, do you know that as soon as this figure was gone the Nepa light suddenly came on and my phone light started working, please this isn’t a made up story.. can anyone understand this meaning,
as long as you didn't summon it on the first time, don't summon it at any other time. They are not Angels rather they are demons and they always have ulterior motives. Don't give in to an energy that is ready to suck life out of your existence.

PoliticsRe: Lagosians, Let Us Recover Our Destiny! by CaptMarvel(m):
Mediahq:
Ideally, democracy is meant to be a government of the people by the people for the people, but it has been twisted to be a contrary experience in Lagos State. For so long, the politics of Lagos State has always supported and benefitted only the privileged politicians, the elites, the hanger-ons, the henchmen of politicians, the ruthless enforcers, the transport unions officials, the market women officials and others at the expense of the people.

By and large, the popular political system called ‘state capture’ is the predominant behind-the-scene hand of treachery that controls the levers of economic and political power in Lagos State, while marginalising the less privileged and leaving the general average hardworking Lagosians to scramble for crumbs of survival. Thus, our state has been captured for the private benefits of less than 1 percent of the citizens of the state while 99 percent suffer from the huge infrastructure failure and large scale corruption of the APC government.

Today, as a result of the lopsided, exclusive, corrupt character of government in Lagos State, many questions are begging for answers. How many Lagosians have access to good healthcare services, potable water and affordable housing? How many low-cost houses were built by the APC government in the last 20 years for Lagosians? Perhaps the government built at best 30,000 units for over 20 million struggling tax-paying citizens of the state! Still, how many of our people are gainfully and productively employed? How many new jobs were created directly and indirectly by the state government in the last 20 years? Quite insignificant!

As the grim realities of misrule grind on Lagosians year after year, many are still living in the squalid and poverty-ridden areas of Ajegunle, Okokomaiko, Badagry, Ikorodu, Epe, Alimosho, Lagos Island, Lekki, Bariga, Shomolu, Ketu, Ojo and so on. The sadder reality is that most of the people living in such slum conditions have no hope in the next 50 years of being pulled out of poverty as they continue to suffer acute lack of electricity, potable water, decent accommodation, health and education facilities, gainful jobs and more, due their total oppression by the political elites.

So, right-thinking stakeholders are now asking: where are the so-called acclaimed massive developmental projects being trumpeted by the APC government to deceive voters for a second term when life still is short, hard and brutish in the state for most residents? Curiously, in this same ‘centre of excellence’, consultants to the state government collect over 50 billion naira annually in various commissions for taxes and other levies collected on behalf of the state. Multiple taxation that kills businesses is the order of the day, with all kangaroo kinds of consultants such as in inland revenue, tenement rates, land use charge, advert isement, telecom infrastructure, power infrastructure approvals, building permits, fund raising, markets, abattoir and transport unions all oppressing and fleecing Lagosians of their hard earned income. But where is all the money going into? Where is accountability for our commonwealth? Isn’t it time Lagosians woke up and demand concrete answers as the next elections approach fast?

The Labour Party governorship team of Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) and his Deputy is firmly of the view that in every four years of an APC government, over N100 billion is frittered away in special fees payable to consultants and other politically backed rent seekers. When this is coupled with an over bloated and corrupt contracting process, inflated figures by various ministries, plus the state capture by the political leader, his agents and government officials of the land assets of the state, it can be boldly affirmed that over two trillion Naira has been wasted and diverted to some people’s pockets in the last twenty years of the APC government. That is the same massive amount of money that would have helped provide educational scholarships, world-class healthcare, affordable houses, potable water and the creation of millions of jobs for the most disadvantaged, marginalized people of the state.

However, all hope is not lost. That is why GRV’s message is that Lagosians must take their fate in their hands and seize their chance in 2023! We have been taken for a ride for too long. If elected, the GRV government will declare within its first few days of office a total war on poverty. Our focus will be to create a good life and living for the lowest income earning Lagosians and others. We will improve access to quality education, quality healthcare, clean water, affordable housing and so on. We will set up and finance skill acquisition centers for ICT in high-demand jobs and training for at least 2 million people in all the local government areas in the state, in disciplines such as fintech, programming, cybersecurity, gaming technology, data analytics, online marketing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.

Also, we will deal with the miserable traffic situation by building efficient road and water transportation networks all over the state. In all, we will definitely block all leakages, rent seeking, corrupt diversion of our commonwealth, terminate all evil consulting agreements of the APC collaborators and recover our commonwealth for the entire benefits of Lagosians. We will fight the evil extortion of our traders, drivers, market women etc. Major focus of GRV administration will be on catering to a better life for artisans, lower cadre civil servants, lower cadre private sector workers, domestic workers, drivers, market women, underprivileged youths and senior citizens, unemployed folks, and all those living in the ghettos of Lagos, to give everyone a sense of belong and a good standard of living. A new beginning beckons to Lagosians. GRV is ready and prepared to take Lagosians to the next level. Join us!

Thank you for the stories, though I didn't vote for Tinubu last two Saturdays ago, but this coming Saturday, Sanwo-Olu should be rest assured of my vote. Whatever destiny GRV want to change he should go and do it in the south east that he so much cherished and affiliated with, they need it badly there 😌

Yoruba's are not the majority in Lagos , none indigenes are the majority in Lagos , majority of those who voted obi are none indigenes from different tribes and states in Nigeria living in Lagos
Yorubas are majority. I know many yorubas voted for Peter Obi without even arguing.

Those in my neighborhood kept shouting and selling Peter Obi, while discrediting Tinubu, and they are all yorubas, I was surprised tho. But I'm certain they will vote for Sanwo Olu at the poll this Saturday.

Christianity EtcRe: The Church Should Shun Public Endorsement Of Political Candidates by CaptMarvel(m): 8:09am On Mar 05, 2023
A good message for Enenche and his cohorts. Endorsing politicians on the altar of God for their own selfish gains, God will judged them.
Goodlady:
The Church Should Shun Public Endorsement Of Political Candidates.

This is to redeem the image of the Church that has been stained with public endorsement of candidates in recent years thereby making it appear Christians are partisans.
Though Christians are advised to be active in politics cos their good minds are needed for positive development especially in times like this . And unity is highly needed in Christianity. Islam is taking advantage of the unity among them to progress in their ways. Christianity is should imbide unity very much. There should be no discrimination so that we they can speak with one strong voice.
See how people are making mockery of Christianity.
Tinubu abused the body of Christ by hiring fake Bishops. He did this cos he saw the loop hole in how some clerics openly open their hands to receive money without thinking about it's source. We can recall the political romance of Ayo Oritsejafor and GEJ btw 2021-2015 era.

Obi too abused it by going to different church programs for campaign.
I think CAN should inform Churches they risk losing credibility when politicians come to their programs for campaigns. CAN should seriously avcomodated all Christian bodies including Catholics if possible.
Clerics should be shunned with the way they openly criticise elected officers during teachings/preachings. It ll make them appear partisan. They may see themselves as voice of the people but it's a delicate part to thread cos their words ll surely be misinterpreted.
They are free to give advise, suggestions but certainly not as dint vote for this or that.
For example, A Rev Father like Father Mbaka made himself to be seen as been partisan. This earned him cautions from the Catholic authorities.
Clerics can only advise Christians to be active in politics, be wise in voting and shun open support for candidates via Church channels or programs.
Muslims are insulting Christians with politics especially as we v lots of Prophets who said:

* Tinubu won't win APC primaries and he won
* They said he won't win presidential election but he won
* Now they v said he won't be sworn in and the mocking Muslims are o social media throwing jabs. Especially one Sheik Jamiu Bello of Ilorin released a WhatsApp broadcast dissing the Pastors that saw vision of Tinubu losing the elections. He subtly used that msg to diss Christianity in Nigeria. Meanwhile, it's well known that Islam has lots of her scandals and illicit acts but they know how to cover it up with pretence.

Some Pastors too only see terrible visions especially when giving prophecies for the start of new year. Truly, common sense ll call someone if the Pastor is called by God to only see terrible things. Are the sins of Nigerians so bad and weighty that only bad things are seen?
Henceforth, there should be screening out of false Prophets by people. They are the one that can de-market them or ban them economically when they experience little or no patronage. People should be wise to know who's the real Prophet and who's the fake.
Just as we v fake Muslim Clerics, Alfas, we v fake Pastors. But those from Islam don't enjoy large publicity like their Christian counterparts.
It's time the body of Christ use their popularity for truth, goodness abs genuine Gospel. God dwells in places that are holy, not in falsehood.
Lastly, Christians should desist from mocking their leaders if they erred. Rather, the should withdraw quietly when they spot falsehood. This ll reduce the level of spread of negative news about Christianity.
Because Christianity is the reason we enjoy liberty of life in this 21st century. The labour of the Apostles in new testament gave rise to human rights and freedom of the mind enjoyed today. That can't be found easily in Islam as we v countries that still withhold rights if women. Not to condemn them but to quickly point few differences.
Christianity isn't a political party but a way of life. As in the way life should be lived that gives free will, dominion, peace, respect to women, UNITY and respect for people's opinion among other good news.
Let there be unity among all Christian bodies.
May God guide our hearts to do well always. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ rest and abide with us forever, amen.

justyhere:
I just discovered the shock of my life. My friend is about to get married in a month’s time to this wealthy fine man, she's a few weeks pregnant and looks pretty happy.

Last week, I was with her and her fiancee came around, it was all fun and we took several pictures and I needed to get them so the guy just handed me his phone to send the pictures to my phone.

They are a very clingy couple and they left to the bedroom to go do their thing, maybe to keep me company or maybe he forgot or for whatever reason, but he didn't get his phone. I was done with the transfer and was just going through his photos randomly, I saw a folder and there are pictures and videos of him doing sexual things with different female corpses. I was so terrified, I returned the phone to home Page, cleared the recently used apps and I left immediately, I have not been in contact with my friend for days now, she keeps calling, I can't bring myself to speak to her.

But I feel guilty and angry, angry that he would do such and even record them and keep them, guilty that I am letting my best friend into a trap of a marriage.

What do I do in this case? I'm so confused and worried.
