One of the major problem Nigerians have is that they love lying to themselves just to feel good about a situation... APC or APO members keeps spewing claims that will favor each one. If you actually know people in DPR you will know that they employed peeps this year without recruitment process.. so stop coming here and be giving us fable ... let's all hope and pray for the best...

I guess that will make PDP ( Portal Displaying Properly) and those with object moved can be called APGA ( Application Portal Gone AWOL)

3. Kachikwu was intended to fill the NNPC position. Let us put a rest to the floating rumors of how Obama asked PMB to employ him and what not. On the eve of the announcement of Kachikwu's appointment, the general diagnosis about the ills of the Nigerian oil industry was that there was a thriving lack of synergy between the Petroleum Minister and the NNPC GMDs and seeing that the PM sat on the board of the NNPC each GMD was forced to do his or her bidding with the consequence being, getting fired if the GMD didn't yield. It is very similar to how a lack of working relationship between the NSA and the service chiefs cost the latter their jobs in the previous govt.
It is rumuored that Kachikwu initially resisted the post of NNPC GMD citing his fear that he could be at cross-purposes with the PM and in that case the PM could easily fire him. So PMB assured him that he will leave him incharge of both offices so as not to compromise the GMDs policy directions. Ofcourse it is an onerous task and I am sure Kachikwu may eventually appoint a trusted hand to relieve him of that position at NNPC but not soon as alot is to be done.
There is reason to believe my assertions as during Kachikwu's screening by the NA he said "this will be the first time that if something goes wrong in the Petroleum sector, it will not be the president's fault". To me, this alludes to the fact that the president has entrusted the petroleum sector into his charge.
Someone may choose to say how can 1 man have such power in the sector? Well, the PIB that would've been passed by successive National assemblies granted even powers greater than this to the minister. The issue with Nigeria has never really been about laws and Acts but about the personality handling such and the rightful implementation of such laws and Acts.
Going by PMBs antecedents it is clear when he trusts some people he tends to saddle them with a lot of responsibilities for e.g, Fashola as Minister for Works, Power and Housing.
NB: The prestige of being the NNPC GMD is unrivalled as you control more resources than all the state governors put together. I haven't even mentioned that you are the cash cow for the country and are responsible for laying the golden eggs. See how Kachikwu sat at the head of the OPEC meeting in Vienna as the President and everyone listened to him. He would never have had such access as a VP in Exxon. Never.

LOL, Eruditor my guy... U seem well informed and would like to know where you work... Kachikwu is a rich kid baba so the salary was never the issue... he wanted the job from day 1 because he likes being in a position of power which correlates to your story of him not wanting the future PM to interfere in his matters also he is my guy grin

Take it from me...the figures are actually almost accurate, 1 thing you should have in mind is that is the basic salary... all other figures dat makes the package attractive is usually the bonuses... If u havent seen am employment letter from Mobil, chevron or shell please don't speculate ... A fresh grad with no experience can't get 700k as basic... u earn around 350k-500k as basic

Find out what it means and see if it applies to your "NNPC-owns-60%-of-whatever-any-E-and-P-company- produces-in-Nigeria" theory. It is not even feasible.
After observation.... Eruditor u got this one wrong... Dont know much about PSCs buh I can tell u d present JVs suchs MPN,Chevron and Total E&P runs on 60/40 wich means NNPC owns 60% stake i.e dey drop 60% of capital for a project and also get 60% of the profit.... Like I told u I work in one of these MNC and also u are free to read from the website of either Mobil or chevron to get 1st hand info... Wish I could give a document to prove ds but MPI is against such.... We live we learn bro

What year was that?? And in which area?? Kindly let us know....some of us might just decide to relocate there!
The same request applies to you, too!

Ours was in Ibadan year 2005... they installed the meter when only the gateman was at home and left 15 units on it ... so we only paid for the 15 units and bought more unit...

This is highly unlikely because Philips Consulting could not have sent the initial texts without the consent or instruction of their client- NNPC. Even in such an event, Philips consulting were never the one's to organise the interviews, so the only other texts or emails they would owe anyone is the schedule for the interviews. Period.
I am not a harbinger of bad news but we need to be able to spot the difference between a fact and a diplomatic response issued to assuage a hurting mind.
My 2 cents, but there's plenty where it came from. grin

Well all you have said is true buh according to the fact NNPC instructed them to stop there might be a chance say Nepotism wan start...
