Yes they are overpriced, but really no other can do what it does, and even if, you'll still have to upgrade them extra (more costs) and the result STILL won't be like apple's. Lets take the T Series ultrabook for instance which is just as thin as the new MacBook Pro and has a wide array of ports: USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, HDMI, Ethernet, VGA and an SD card slot. This 13-inch laptop doesn’t have Apple’s super high-resolution display or backlit keyboard; nor does it have its 2.3Ghz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor.
I could go on and on but the bottom line is if you can afford it, don't think about getting anything else.

And you also don't have to pay practically annually for anti-virus software lol!

I'll take a BMW only because of the horsepower and price ignoring its offroad limitations. The disadvantage is that a BMW looses value much faster than a MERCEDES. Buying one and driving out the shop already reduces its value by 30%.
But it can be compared to a merc (depends on which one).
The days of the "benz myth" are numbered 'cos Beemers stepped up a notch and the prices are still plausible (thats a key factor why they outsold the competition 2010 and 2011 ).
Its just a kinda better and cheaper merc.
