P.S: my account had plenty of small credits. Some I explained, many I didn't. So it depends on the overall look of your account. The main thing is my salary was clear and it matched with my payslips each month. I would have had an issue because my salary wasn't the same every month due to direct debit for purchases at work but my payslips showed the different amount each month (although I got a call from UKVI asking me three questions including why my salary varied each month). I received monies from my dad, sisters, friends and clients who I make clothes for. I attached screenshots of conversation with the clients showing their payments as it reflects in my account, amounts ranged from 8k to 20k

I think it greatly depends on a lot of factors and once your application ticks off more than one red flag, its down hill from there. The lack of family ties might have ruined your chances for this application.

From my observation of their explanation, I have some questions. Was your salary of over 900k not reflected in your statement? Maybe that's why they are highlighting the small credits they mentioned. Also with regards to your ties, did you really not mention that anyone was dependent on you? That's a huge red flag for them. A letter of consent from one of your parents might have helped. Or maybe if you were supporting a sibling in a way that you could show proof. That might have helped your case.

I had filled that I would visit for 10 days. I put that my brother-in-law would sponsor with £2500. My budget was £1 because I had sponsorship and my brother-in-law had said he would cover all in his invitation letter, flight, feeding, accommodation. If its of any importance, I'll like to add that my brother-in-law has German citizenship but has permanent resident status in the UK.

Congratulations on your visa approval! May I please know how long you are planning to visit the UK and how much (in pounds) you stated your brother-in-law will be sponsoring, and how much you stated as your total budget on the application for the duration of your trip (including flights)? Since you will be staying with your elder sister, I believe accommodation is already covered and hence you didn't budget for accommodation. However, for the benefit of those who are yet to apply, it'll be helpful to know how long you intend to visit and how much was budgeted on the application for the duration of your visit (including flights). I believe this will help guide prospective applicants. Thank you.

I have been meaning to post my update but I got carried away with the festivities.

I recently received my visit visa to the UK. My biometric was on the 4th of December. Collection email was received on the 20th of December, I went to collect my passport on the 23rd.

I mentioned that I intended to travel on the 26th in my application but unfortunately i have to postpone my trip because the flight fare was over my budget. I'm looking forward to traveling by March 2025.

Thank you to everyone who offered explanation and answered my questions. I also got additional assistance from a family member who travels frequently.

For my application, I mentioned that I work. I included my payslips for 6 months and 6 months bank statement for two of my accounts (one for salary, the other for other funds from my side hustle). Mind you my salary is not up to N300k. My purpose of visit was to visit my elder sister. My brother-in-law was my sponsor and he gave me invitation letter, council tax, payslips, tenancy agreement and bank statement.
I also used my husband, father and younger sister as my home ties. I only included consent letter from my husband and included his passport page and various pictures of me and my sister, hubby and entire family.

Let's say your name is Cynthia, but the dollar Card you're using is that of Rachael, it's the details of Rachel's card that would be inputted

16 digits card number
Name on the card
Address (may not be needed)
Postal code should be the local government where you are in any state in Nigeria
3 digits at the back of the card

Naira cards don't work for International payments since over 3 years now.

Look for anyone that has a Dom account (£$€) load an amount equivalent to the amount you're expected to pay in USD and use that card to pay.

I have been trying to pay for the UKVI application on gov.uk but I have been unable to make the payment. I keep getting error message that "The payment for your application was refused by your card provider. Your card has not been charged." And that it's either I don't have enough money or I put the wrong details and that is not the case either.

I have tried GTB, ACCESS AND WEMA cards and also an international Canadian card. All to no avail. Please how can I make the payment for the application. How are you guys making your payment via Worldpay?

Please help a sister. I really need to complete my application as soon as possible.

Please does anyone have an idea if there are any available dates for visa appointment for tls. V.I for October or November. I want to apply for visit visa to go to the UK to go on the 21st of December (if possible). I am yet to complete my application but I would like to know whether I should bother applying for this year or put my dates for next year to allow for enough time.

Basically, if I apply now, and I don't get feedback by the date I intend to travel. Will I be refused if the dates have passed or I can still be granted if I satisfy all their requirements.
