Usually, the university will give you a form for missing original documents and time to supply the original documents which often ranges from 1-3 months.

3 months? But I won't be back in Nigeria till vacation. What will I do then sir?

You have asked this question before on Jan 5th... The answer has not changed on January 14th. Kindly check the previous response.

You can apply for admission anytime with the statement of result and if your result is very new; get the scratch card, the results on your school letterhead with the original stamp, and notarized it, which will be fine with OKtb. Since the certificate will be out on 24th Feb, then no issues. Take note OKTB rules are not fixed so it changes based on the time of flying.

Best wishes

OK thank u sir. I will apply with the statement of result from my high school. It has my principal's signature and everything. I'll notarize and attest it at the ministries. But i will still be getting a scratch card since the result is a 2016 one. I really hope CIU accepts it during registration proper and all goes well. When I travel back to Nigeria in august, I'll retrieve the original from the school. Hope that will be fine, sir?

Hello Celoexpress,

Once the NSE document request is initiated by the VO, a placeholder is activated in the GcKey online account for it to be uploaded and/or submitted.

If you didn't get the request, but still desire to forward the required documents if you have them, the webform can be utilized.

Best of Luck

Hello, I'm new here. Please can I get the list of Canadian universities which their undergraduate programs tuition per year is not more than $10000 CAD. I'm thinking of applying for fall 2021 to study English. Thanks.

If you are European, Cypriot or have passport that is visa free or visa on arrival to Europe—-then you can travel easily. Otherwise you should have visas and no south embassy or consulate in TRNC and Vice versa.

Good morning wip7, please I have a question. My secondary school principal just told me that my waec certificate will be available on February 24th. What I have with me is the statement of result. Should I use that to apply for the admission on the 16th of next month into CIU? Or will it not be accepted at the airport by the officials since I plan on using OK to board? Please I need ur assistance as I don't want to waste my efforts. Thanks sir. And also, do I need to authenticate the result despite using OK to board? Can I present it like that to the immigration officers?

Cyprus universities and ministries are currently implementing strategies to only admit genuine students that will graduate from Cyprus not the ones that will spend just a semester or one year and transfer from Cyprus to another country.

Hence, If you currently interested in studying in UK, USA, CANADA or any European countries etc....just apply to these countries directly as increasing number of students perceived as non-geinune affects those that wants to study and complete their education in Cyprus.

Some of the proposed policy are:

—-inabilities to transfer grade/courses/transcript
—-consultation with embassies
—-payment of full 4 or 2 years tuition as the case maybe.
——other policies to limit those that will be using Cyprus as transfer zones etc.

So for your specific question; I will advise you to email or call CIU regarding your intention to transfer after 1 year they will be in best position to tell you.

OK thanks. What do u mean by payment of the 4 year full tuition? Is that what happens when a student wants to transfer to another country or what?

Thank you.

Although the undergraduate age limit in Cyprus is 25-27 years, being a registered nurse with verifiable work experience, some universities may want to waive the limitation. So it may be possible if all the documents and CV are presented; the tuition is 15-20,000$/year.

Considering the cost and the adopted USLME and PLAB training protocols in South American medical universities; I will rather suggest the 33-year-old registered nurse with 10 years of experience to take the medical studies in South America Universities. They also have an age limit, however, such a student can be admitted into 4 years doctor of medicine (MD) program with possible clinical rotations in the USA, Caribbean, Asia etc. The tuition fee a year here ranges from 11-14,000$.

Good day mr wip7, please can a first year student in CIU transfer to another university in another country in the second year? Will his grades and cgpa be transferred too?

The least amount is 1$ if such student already paid for tuition and accommodation before arrival. However, considering the fact that upon arrival students will need to buy a new sim card, buy some cooking kinds of stuff, or eat out, take a taxi, pay for medical tests and get some textbooks etc; from 1000-50,000$ will be fine to sort all possible things and be on a safer side. Also, sending money these days from Nigeria to abroad seems to get difficult as most banks will require a sender to get foreign currency which is now high on in black markets...while some banks may be able to process naira to USD/euro/GBP via Form A but this may take a long period and can put a new student into a real problem. So go as much as you can to cover immediate expenses.

Currently, students are exempted from quarantined payments. Take note; the rules change all time. TRNC is waiting for vaccines according to recent rules so when it comes the rule can change as well.

This question is specific. Only the concerned university can answer that. On a general note from quarantine, students are delivered to or leave for their accommodation. You can email your university for a direct answer to this.

I hope this helps!

It does. Thank u sir.

The university will send you email on steps and procedures to take.

Sir, please what's the least amount of cash a student can bring in? And will the students pay for the hotel fees during the quarantine? Also, how long will a student that paid for the full package stay before he or she is given his or her accommodation in the dorm and before he or she starts eating in the cafeteria? Is it immediately after the quarantine or when?

Hello,

Remember studying abroad means paying tuition fees, accommodation, living, and maintenance expenses. If you are certain you will have all the mentioned fees+expenses that will cover you 1-2 years of studies by Feb, then you can apply before then and make payment by Feb 16th. If you don't have all the mentioned fees, just relax till you have it or get the necessary sponsorship.

OKTB has rules determined largely by the airline, so a traveler will need to abide by that rule at the time of flying which I don't know what rule will apply in Feb. Take note, OKTB often more expensive, and the previous rule demand you have a return ticket and the cost of processing the OKTB is not fixed but depends on who processes it.

When you arrive in Cyprus as a student either through OKTB or a Turkish transit visa, students need to complete their registration with the university then apply for a student residency permit (meaning you are not going to apply for any student visa as the permit allows you to stay according to its validity) which is currently renewable yearly. You don't need a bank statement or yellow card to do that, for the residency permit; all applicants apply online and submit medical test results and follow the rest of the procedure.

I hope that answers your queries.

It does sir. Thank u so much.

Updates on TRNC Quarantine and fees

Students will be exempted from the PCR Test and Quarantine fees payment. As of 14th December 2020, 10 days quarantine will be applied. PCR test results received 4 or more days prior to the travel will not be valid on the arrival to the country. Individuals who present such kind of test results will not be able to enter the country. The traveling date for connecting flights is the date of the first flight.

Good day Sir. Please will the admission still be open for CIU on February 16? I plan on applying then since my fees will be complete by then. Can I fly through OK to board since by that time, I won't be able to process the visa in time? And also, if I fly via oktb, when I arrive the island, will I be issued a student visa immediately after my fees are confirmed or will I be asked to go through the normal visa process there also( providing documents like bank statement, yellow card and so on)?

Admission for spring semester is open

For those interested in studying in Cyprus and Turkey admission is opened for February 2021.

For those with very good grades (CGPA) in undergrad; may get 100% for PhD at EMU.

Hello sir. I just found out that university of Nicosia accepts bitcoin as tuition payment. Does CIU accept too? To pay for the complete package? Must I pay via the bank? That takes a lot of time.

CIU admits applicants with HND directly into a master program and you maybe given some foundation courses as bridging courses depending on your previous background.

All incoming students are awarded scholarships; after the 50% scholarship, currently a master program without a foundation courses will be approximately 3500 euros (this includes 7 courses, seminar, a thesis , registration fees, etc). If you are given a foundation courses, each currently cost 120 euros.

If you are coming from country with English being official language, you don’t need TOEFL but you may be requested to take entry English test. No need for GRE.

Accommodation will range 1500-3000 euros either school or off campus per year. People go off campus because they can share rooms, bills with other occupants.

Securing blue/white/green collar jobs abroad requires a competitive profile laced with academic merits, verifiable demanding skills, experience and add-ons.

Take note: study abroad is expensive irrespective of countries, henceforward, ensure you are financially prepared.

Sir can someone pay for the all inclusive package (tuition and accommodation and feeding) in CIU at once instead of paying the $1500 initial deposit?

Admission for next semester opens already so you can apply before January, pay your fees and get ready. You will be admitted with the verified WAEC result ( supply with your scratch card).

Why you don’t want to go to embassy to apply for visa ?

Can I use oktb to arrive if I don't get the visa in time? I'll be applying by third week of January, that's why I'm asking. Thanks. And about the WAEC result, can I bring the authenticated statement of result from my school along with a print out from the WAEC site and a scratch card to verify? Will that be enough?

OK thanks. I may not go for visa because I don't think if I apply in January, it will be ready. I'll apply though but just in case, I can use OKTB to come over, right? By verified WAEC result, what do u mean? Like a print out from the website which can be checked with scratch card?

Hey sir, please I'll be coming to CIU by February next year hopefully to study BSc English. I'll be applying in January. Will I still make it in time for d spring semester? And secondly, I only have my WAEC statement of result from my secondary school and not the actual WAEC certificate from d board. I went to the office and I was told it wasn't ready. So can I go ahead and authenticate d statement of result? Will it be accepted at the point of entry and by the school? Because I plan on using OK to board to fly in. Thanks.

Who told you that when you are denied Transit visa you cant enroll for OKTB?

Nobody says that here on this particular THREAD.

Visa and OKTB are two different things that are not related to each other. Visa is issued by the legally authorized embassy after considering your application and other things; the embassy have the right to issue you a visa or deny you a visa even you pay the tuition fee.....they decide who enters their country.

Globally, beign issued a visa by the embassy does not gurantee entry to the country. A visa allow the bearer to travel legally to a foreign country for whatever purposes. The immigration at port of entry determines who enters the country, length of stay and other related stuffs.

OKTB is not a visa but just a service and comes in form of a code on the Ticket not as a sticker on passport and may allow the bearer to board the specific airline. The immigration will determine if such person enters or not.

After you have paid your fees, each university sends details of students that paid to Turkish embassy of their country. The students can check the embassy website and apply for the visa following the procedure stated on the website. Currently, the application for Turkish transit visa can only be submitted physically at the embassy in Abuja for those applying from Nigeria; although a pre-visa must be done online before submitting all the required documentation. Visit the embassy webpage for further directions and updates.

You can also decide based on your personal choice to travel by OKTB. Take note; OKTB is only allowed by Turkish Airline and the traveller that will use this service must adhere to some rules. Most importantly, a return-ticket is required considering the last policy before the pandemic. The traveller must have all the original document like WEAC or NECO for undergraduate while graduate student should have their bachelor degree/polytechnic diploma.

Why people used OKTB?:

some that were denied the Transit visa have made use of OKTB succesfully. Also, some applicant dont have the time and energy to spend at the embassy, hence, just go for OKTB.

So as a student you should decide yourself what you want. Take note, none (visa or OKTB) is 100% guranteed that the bearer will enter the country.

Best wishes as you make your decision.

Wip7, please I have a question. A friend of mine who trades forex and earns not less than $1000 is planning to go to CIU for school by February and he plans on continuing his trade while there. My question is, is forex trading legal there? Will the banks become suspicious if he earns that amount per day into his bank account or is it fully legalized?

Hello guys, i created a new account for this purpose. I need your advice. I am going to be 25 years old in a few months time but i am currently not in any relationship. in fact i have not being in any relationship since my former boyfriend broke up with me, two years ago. i moved to a new city early 2019, and have been working there now for almost two years, but no one has seem to pick interest in me. Sometimes, guys start to pick interest but the moment i show that i'm interested, they just back off. It gets lonely atimes and i have been tempted to get back together with my ex, but it did not last because i could not let go of how much he had hurt me in the past. I do not know what to do anymore, but i am scared, i do not want to be alone when i am 30. I am not desperate, but i just want to know if there are other ladies in my shoes. I don't really go out apart from work, weddings and church, i'm an indoor type. I have been advised to go out and hangout more, but that's just not me. Please help, am i the only one in this position?
