Christians are not fighting the church that's like stabbing your body. Christians are vexed by the false powerless Christianity being peddled by false ministers in the name of our Lord. It's like someone rubbishing your Father's name, you don't keep quiet.
The point made by this writer is that most Christians are more concerned with the fact that it is not their church that was affected and it becomes an avenue to promote their branch rather.

menxer:
OP, that same thread of segregation spirals through every aspect of our lives.

You have chosen to discuss it as it affects the church (Christian - Christian relationships), it's in the news that a certain bishop is rejected by priests in his diocese, what led to that?

Even in the same church, if you are not in a particular department, not heavily involved financially, not committed to the teeth, you will be segregated.

There is always something or someone to segregate.
its that Segregation we are still talking about, both within churches and otherwise

Religion / Segregation In The Church... Christians Let's Talk by Carys(f): 6:12pm On Jun 11, 2017
Christians let’s talk…what have we become? What are we fighting against? Are we still striving to be Christ-like or we are just a set of cynical fools? Who fights the church more than Christians? Division in all forms like we are not parts of one body; Pentecostals fighting Catholics, Catholics fighting Anglicans, Pastors struggling to show who has greater power, Christians rejoicing over the downfall of another church. Oh! How well we build our branch rather than God’s love.

Let’s talk Christians about the struggle for affirmation of “the best church”. I will tell you that I am a Christian and you’d ask “what church do you attend”, now this wouldn’t be a wrong question if it wasn’t asked for my reply to be used as the measure of my faith in God and commitment to His word. Then we begin to promote our church by preaching about; prosperity, miracles and God’s promises leaving out repentance from sin thereby promoting abuse of His mercy, we just do everything possible to convert a Christian to “Christianity”. Remember, there are different ways of serving and different abilities to perform service but from the same God. Do we pray in the name of our church leaders or in the name of God? In whose name do we cast out demons; In the name of ‘whom Paul preaches’ or in the name of God that our faith should be built on?. Let’s talk Christians why not build my faith and strength in God that reigns supreme than in the name of your church/church leader and the miracles he has done? Is that your faith?…... PANDER continued...
…She smiled at me then recoiled under the sheets and said “Jay why did you do that at the pub” referring to the unpleasant incident. I replied and said “I felt the need to put the bastard straight and protect you” . She sat up studying me for a bit and then she asked why? Swiftly I responded because by saying you deserve to be respected, again she studied me, slowly she walked up to me and pulled down my faded jeans and then stopped as if she was astonished at the full size of my junk. It was about 11 inches when fully erect something I was really proud of but I was sure she might have seen bigger, she slowly massaged my ego before stroking it hard which she noticed I seemed to love a lot then she looked up to me her green eyes piercing and said head? I nodded slightly and then she asked again too fast? I’m sure I blushed but replied no. She pushed me to the bed and started off stroking me gently again running her tongue from the cap of my cock down to my balls and then hardening her grip of my junk and stroking hardest as she sucked me looking like she was going to choke she thrust it deeper and deeper and it excited me so. I think I hit orgasm and then just at the point where I was going to ejaculate she stopped and said my name, “Jay do you like it?” I replied hastily “I love it”, at this, she asked me to take of my white shirt already smelling of her perfume I took it off immediately as she licked me all the way up to my nipples there she made circular movements with her tongue the sensation I loved ever so much and then slowly she rose her head towards me and said “Jay what are you thinking right now?”.... Lol African mothers never fail us...

A VERY SHORT SHORT STORY
Kobi wasn’t a particularly difficult child but his mother was a deeply devout Pentecostal and she constantly worried at his lack of loyalty to the church and indifference to holy activities. He had to endure repeated sessions sitting in front of the pastor being quizzed about his religious conviction, whilst being threatened with eternal damnation as the end point for all sinful young souls. The pastor was quite effective at his portrayal of the scary prospects that awaited church strays but the fear was usually short-lived. During one particularly boring session, a long line of termites going in and out of their living quarters in the church building’s frail wooden superstructure had caught his attention....continue reading on https://carysmareeyaonwueme./2017/01/29/a-very-short-story/

PANDER

With deep green eyes a body slender and only curving where it was supposed to she stood by the corner of the street, I could already picture her in my sheets. I pulled over just beside her and let her beauty dazzle me for a while before I was drawn back to reality by her very seductive tone, “Hi stranger, talk much?” Her words serenaded my very essence they soothed the guilt that came with my being here and again I just looked at her and coughed out the name Jay. Jay her pronunciation of my name seeming so divine.

“Do you need company for the night?” I thought to myself I’d like her company for the rest of my life, all I heard myself say though was “yes if you’d oblige me” . Her answer depicting her somewhat jovial nature, I’m loving our progress from monosyllabic answers to getting to know each other, a beautiful smile cutting across her perfectly moulded lips, Oh I could already imagine kissing them. “Yes tonight and probably a day after” she replied and that sinister look she gave showing her obviously naughty side. I smiled right back and unlocked the car, rushing out to open the passenger’s side for her, this for some reason seemed to please her, her words thereafter “only a real man do that for a girl of my kind”, those words registered in my mind, a girl of her kind.

What was I doing here on the eve of the day I’d say I do? Stacy my lady was beautiful, every man’s dream woman but for the last couple of months, shortly after our engagement, copulation with her seemed so humdrum. I had spoken to her about it being a very practical person that I am but she always seemed to pick up a fight. She had, had me begging at the end of those conversations. What she failed to notice was that a man like me could only take so much. I had driven past Bella six times this week and it was only Tuesday, this month I had begun to stalk her for some reason after seeing her at Frank’s bachelor party. She was sitting beside me now at a local pub bub in hand and it still felt like my imagination, her blouse revealing enough to leave me wanting. I beckoned on the waiter who couldn’t seem to get his eyes of Bella, and ask for our bill. I paid and left him a tip, his next move I couldn’t believe, he stuck the wad of cash in his hands into Bella’s popping out cleavage and on impulse I.. . SIMPLY LIVE

Head over clouds
A simple life is a good life… so they say.

Our lives are complicated enough; the digital world consumes us to feel eternally busy, perpetually loud. Constant pressures from unwanted sources, conflicting guidance, drain us to the point that we withdraw and obstruct our minds. We are all, however bound by the most influential motivator in our life; happiness. And it is this common search for happiness that we can momentarily fulfil, bit by bit, through appreciation of our environment.
Lately in this inextinguishable pursuit, I have found myself walking in the spooky cool hours of the morning, when not even the early bird is out getting the worm. And then one morning, like any other, it hit me. Not the answer to my questions, but some hairy, black thing that had conveniently decided to park itself and its web above the footpath! Arggh…....continue reading on https://carysmareeyaonwueme./2017/01/23/simply-live/

THE SEARCH
I had just finished running more than a kilometer under the rain in search of a shelter from the growing and windy august rain, a kind I was sure would grant me sure access into the fever line. And because I couldn’t get any keke napep to quicken my journey to my interview location, I was soaked beyond wetness that I felt my underpants were becoming heavy like I wore a shield. The files that contained my curriculum vitae were so soaked that I had considered throwing them away at one point; my life was in jeopardy more so because I had an interview in an hour time, an appointment that I was sure would end my four years search for a job. It was devastating.

I reached a T Junction and still there was no corner shop or even a spoilt keke napep to take refuge while I prayed for the rain to stop. I was so pained that I started to cry, and still didn’t stop running, it was funny though, but I needed to remind myself I was still human.

“sisssssssss” a voice called.
Since the rain was much and it also was accompanied with a very noisy wind, so I couldn’t see much. I stopped and turned to see who had sissssed at me, hoping greatly that the caller had a place I could hide from the rain.
“Come and stay here oo” the voice called out again some miles from me.

Placing my hands firmly on my eye brows ensuring I stopped the rains from obstructing my view, I was able to sight some human figures under a covered zinc structure. And without thinking twice, I made a fast one to the location, running and smashing into gutters and ditches like it was a fun thing to do.
“Thank you so much” I said immediately I entered the shop that barely had space.
I actually didn’t care if the space was going to house me; all I did was to turn to anyone I saw and said thanks as I bowed my head alongside. The space was so small, and it looked like a shop where they sell cigarettes and kai-kai (gin). A bench that was occupied mainly with women numbering about seven was placed at the center of the shop, because everyone was avoiding the edges of the shop due to the leaking zinc. There were about five other people standing tightly behind them, and most of them were men.
“Were you going to keep running under the rain if we didn’t call you?” one of those sitting asked.
“Omo yes oo…it’s not like I have a mansion around here” I joked as I tried packaging my wet self after noticing the pretty lady that asked me the question.
She had asked and then kept quiet so fast, she didn’t even care about the reply I had specially arranged for her amusement. She had caught my attention like a nice Nike shoes would. She had turned my head upside down so fast that I actually stared at her without minding the consequences. She was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen, and for some reasons she was smiling as she looked at her phone, and this made her more pretty. And that I wasn’t going to just ignore, not even now that I needed a woman in my life.
“Hey!” I called out facing her direction and then gesturing with my head.
She didn’t even....continue story on https://carysmareeyaonwueme./2017/01/22/the-search/ PS holla if you are writer/poet...join the writers community✌️

SEDUCTRESS
Oh that look, look so intense that it stimulates all the nerve endings in your body and sends heat waves down your spine. It heats up your blood that your brain can barely gain control, well not while you are still staring at those lips, parted just wide enough to give your thought a direction…imagine how it would react to yours looking soft, perfectly pouted , covered in a shade of pink and leading your eyes to that perfectly carved jaw , oh imagine how that long, slender fold of skin carrying these beautifully ordered features would feel under the warmth of your palm, imagine how it would react to your touch and gentle stroke.
Trying to gain control you let your eyes wander away from that smooth skin that forms the neck but nothing can save you from that perfectly rounded mass of fat, carefully set and staring confidently and daringly at you...continue reading on https://carysmareeyaonwueme./ or /p7nXrD-18

TWENTIES

There’s something about being in your twenties, in your teenage years you confidently say that it is the time you achieve most of your goals. You could almost swear that it would be the best time of your life because you’d have or be close to getting what you seek for the most, probably love, your dream job or wealth at an early age giving you assurance of a brighter future.

Then you hit it! You get to that age and realise making that choice that changes things isn’t easy at all. You begin to doubt everything you know and choices you’ve made. You realise that choosing one thing over another could be very difficult because you know the benefit of each of them. It is the stage of life where you begin to question your goals, your dream, happiness and the list goes on and on. Continue reading on https://carysmareeyaonwueme. or
