Aphrodite007: Hi guys!
so I got into the UK a week ago via Manchester and there was absolutely no problem. All the food stuff I carried were in tact (I even carried cooked food sef , as the Nigerian food lover that I am!).
Anyway, when I got to the POE, the gentleman there was absolutely sweet, he didn’t ask for any documents other than my passport and then chatted a bit about the city my husband lives in. Like it was just gist and him laughing at me that I would have to travel to Wales to pick up my BRP
I’m resting for now and would begin search for work soon. I’m expanding my search from professional IT work to even sales assistant jobs (the tip is to go to the website of the company you want to work for and search for positions- you can do this for M&S, Tesco (I think) primark and more).
Good luck to everyone that’s about to apply. The secret to getting the spousal visa is to reading this forum thoroughly, being truthful in your application and also being prayerful. Cheers! I have been job hunting and it hasn’t been easy. Attended a couple of interviews already and hopefully something good comes soon. Wish you all the best with your search |

phatbaby1: Hello house, for those of you who have gone to the UK after receiving your spouse visa. Did you get asked a lot of questions at Point of Entry? Did your spouse have to be present at the airport? My husband and I are just weighing up the pros and cons of taking time off work. Are the UKBA guys really annoying? Were you able to carry any food stuff? In my own case the immigration guy just asked if I travelled with my husband, I said no but he’s outside waiting to receive me. And he said welcome to the United Kingdom and enjoy your stay with your husband. I bought plenty food stuffs oo. From oha leaves to Uziza, stock fish, crayfish, dried pepper, fried snail, Oh the list is endless. When I got home hubby said damn Bebe you’re such a mess. I made the oha soup immediately and hubby always insists on having poundo and oha for 2weeks straight now. Now tell me who’s a mess. Lol |

Teeaas: Only one reason. Eco said I didn't meet English language requirement. I included my masters certificate which I obtained from a top uk university and yet Eco said I didn't meet the requirement when the appendix fm immigration rule clearly states that it is a way of proving English language eligibility. My spouse and I could have clearly appealed the decision but we do not have luxury of time. Let's just be prayerful that oloriburuku Eco will not attend to our case o. Oh seen |

I think you should start looking for ticket to Uk. ...all zee best to us. That was quick. What was their reason for the refusal if you don’t mind me asking. I wish you the very best with your next application dear |

Good day house . I got to find out about this group after submitting my spouse visa. However, I've been following silently and reading all post. I was refused. Below is the refusal letter. Please I need advice on how to go about the next application. My husband is an IT contractor. He earns above the minimum requirements. But as every other IT contractors he pays himself about ££900 monthly from his company account. Which is less than the minimum requirement. Do we print out his company's bank statement alongside his personal bank statement or just his company's bank statements. I submitted everything on the refusal letter except for his company's bank statement and evidence of ongoing employment. Please I need all the gurus in the house to advice me. Thanks
