PoliticsRe: Fashola Shuts Aswani Market by cataline: 4:21pm On Jan 23, 2009
I wish people should learn to appreciate when goods things are being done and we should learn to always get their facts rights before saying anything.Fashola gave the traders at oshodi 5 months notice to leave the market and get a better place but they refused.one thing i notice about nigerians is that we are being sentimental about some issues. Is it right that one should trade on the express where they are prone to being hit by a vehicle? or you are passing through oshodi and you are being held up in trafiic for hours because of traders on the road,is that what an ideal society is?

If this traders had met lagos sanitised with proper way of doing things, will they not get alternative means of livelihood. Moreover he said on the news that he was going to compesate those whose wares he destroyed what else do you naija people want.

he wants to repair road you say because your shop dey beside it make dem no do am,yet when you travel out of nigeria to Benin,Cotonou or Ghana you say it is better.

Let's leave sentiments aside and build a better lagos beacuse i believe that ''Eko o ni baje''.Let's support our governor because i believe he has the interest of Lagosians at heart and i believe he will provide low cost shops that the average man can afford just like the way he did with housing for the state workers.
CareerRe: What Percentage Of Your Total Package (Salary) Is Tax? by cataline: 7:59am On Jul 01, 2008
According to the standard tax rumeneration 20% of your total package is taxed i.e including your leave allowance i.e if you earn 3Million (total package) per annum you will pay 600000 as tax for the year that's the standard but you know the way our country works some do not go according to standard.

But for the multinationals in the country the stick to that because they would not want to get into problems in Nigeria. That's why someone working with an indigenous coy can tell you they do not pay so much as tax he is just not informed.
Jokes EtcJack And His Buddy by cataline(op): 2:55pm On Nov 12, 2007
Jack decided to go
skiing with his buddy, Bob. So they loaded up Jack's minivan and headed north. After driving for a few
hours, they got caught in a terrible blizzard.  So they pulled into a nearby farm and asked the attractive lady who answered the door if they could spend the night.
"I realize it's terrible weather out there and I have this huge house all to myself, but I'm recently widowed," she explained. "I'm afraid the neighbors will talk if I let you stay in my house."
"Don't worry," Jack said. "We'll be happy to sleep in the barn. And if the weather breaks, we'll be gone at first light." The lady agreed, and the two men found their way to the barn and settled in for the night. Come morning, the weather had cleared, and they got on their way. They enjoyed a great weekend of skiing.
But about nine months later, Jack got an unexpected letter from an attorney. It took him a few minutes to figure it out, but he finally determined that it was from the attorney of that attractive widow he had met on the ski weekend.
He dropped in on his friend Bob and asked, "Bob, do you remember that good-looking widow from the farm we stayed at on our ski holiday up north about 9 months ago?"
"Yes, I do." said Bob
"Did you, er, happen to get up in the middle of the night, go up to the house and pay her a visit?"
"Well, um, yes," Bob said, a little embarrassed about being found out, "I have to admit that I did."
"And did you happen to give her my name instead of telling her your name?"
Bob's face turned beet red and he said, "Yeah, look, I'm sorry, buddy.    I'm afraid I did." "Why do you ask?"

"She just died and left me everything."

(And you thought the ending would be different, didn't you?,  now keep that smile for the rest of the day.)
