GrandMufti: you can also test an active glo 4g sim on your phone. That's another way out. Thanks for the suggestion. |

GrandMufti: Hmmmm this one na to dump am o. .
Don't bother sending sms as it would tell you its not compatible. It happened to me. But the mssg center number is correct.
I'm not sure when the new policy took effect. But it's rubbish.
I hope you didn't pay any kobo for the new registration? Pay for registration ke? Who does that? I'm so done with the trial and error. I'll just jejely stick with my internet providers. Flirting with Glo was just to know if anything could redeem their horrible 3G. |

GrandMufti: One last thing, I think the first thing you need to do once you register is to dial 125. I'm not sure if I got the number right, but you can ask them over there. I was at a Glo shop earlier today to re-register the sim. Much later, after dialing 125 to activate the line, I tried sending 4G to 400 to get confirmation if my Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro was compatible with the Glo band 28(700MHz). Unfortunately, that text and others I tried sending just wouldn't go. Meanwhile, I had made 3 one minute calls so I don't get another story that I should've made some calls. Then, I twitted at the Glo Twitter handle asking if +2348050001501 was the correct message centre number only to be told that I would only be able to use my line 7 days after registration and that's the new policy. But how come I was able to make those 3 one minute calls? Honestly, that got me lost as I have never heard of anything like that. Glo just takes the cake at ridiculousness. |

GrandMufti: One last thing, I think the first thing you need to do once you register is to dial 125. I'm not sure if I got the number right, but you can ask them over there. I confirmed from their rep who said the SIM wasn't properly registered despite dialing 125 about an hour after I left the Glo shop that day I bought it. No worries, I'll just try my luck one more time tomorrow. |

GrandMufti: Ok... go with a valid id and if possible meet the person that registered the line initially. Remind them that it's a 4G sim Thanks. |

GrandMufti: Registering the line again should solve it. After doing that, make a 5 seconds call with the sim. It happened to my mifi sim and I was wondering why 4G won't show up until I called and they said I should re-register.
It seems you haven't made any call on it? I'll get that done tomorrow morning. And no, I have not made any call on the line since I got it. |

GrandMufti: If you still have the patience, call 400 and tell them to help you refresh your line that it supports band 28, you are within a Glo 4G coverage location and you have an active Data subscription. You'll receive a confirmation sms afterwards and then reboot your phone.
You can load a ₦250 data subscription before trying. If the cc rep is not answering you properly, end the call and try again. Your assistance on this issue is so highly appreciated. I have tried calling 400 as advised, but I keep getting that automated voice response telling me I'm not allowed to make calls on the line until I have the sim registered. Can you imagine that? I just tire for this Glo |

GrandMufti: Please reconfirm the model of your phone because all j7 pro models support band 28.
The glo sim should be the 3-in- 1 ie, already cut into micro/nano That's the one I have. Do you use one? |

GrandMufti: Your phone should work na? I thought you found a workaround? Man, all that time I thought the Glo 4G had finally worked on the phone turned out to be the MTN working all that time. You can imagine how disappointed I was. After getting tired of every trick in the book to getting it to work, I finally visited a Glo shop today. The rep confirmed he'd gotten similar requests, but most certainly my variant doesnt support the damn band 28(700MHz). I just wonder why everything about Glo's different. |

fibonacci2526: Isn't the 4G fast in your locale? Apparently, my phone won't work with the Glo 4G service so I decided to share the data (a better option than giving out the SIM with my biometrics registered) as there was no need keeping it. I can't deal with their horrible 3G service. P.S. If by 8pm tonight I don't get confirmation from the 3 other registered numbers, I'll delete them. At the very least, be courteous enough to chip in a simple thank you. |

But the problem is is it when one makes buys a subscription before one is allowed to download their apk file cos it isn't even on Google play store. Once you subscribe to the service, you'll get a mail with login details as well as the APK link download. In the meantime, there are very many apks you can play around with. |
