This is the part not too many people realise. Thinking it's just public universities affected today and it ends there is simply hilarious. Many parents aren't going to be able to afford school fees (nursery/primary/secondary/tertiary) pretty soon, your loaf of bread will soon become unaffordable and on and on.

Under band A, ₦1,000 gives you around 4.78kWh (units), that's using the rate of ₦209/kWh and praise singers are cheering the govt on. How many people can truly afford this today? It's consumers like you and me that will bear the brunt at the end of the day, while many more businesses will struggle and possibly close shop as the purchasing power of citizens further erodes away. They think it's only band A customers that'll suffer this. Bands B, C and co will soon go up as well and maybe then we'll see how many would still have a smile on their faces. It's a domino effect that's going to consume us all. Just like Burna boy said, las las, na everybody go chop breakfast!

The cost of electricity is going to push up the cost of tuition to a point where most universities and in fact secondary schools may become unaffordable for the large part of the population.

The problem I had with Airtel wasn't a location issue. The network will just go AWOL for long periods. Couldn't deal with it an happily sold off the modem.

Perhaps you should change the location of the router.

When I bought mine, I placed it in the sitting room but network was stuck in 4g and weak. I felt like I have wasted money.

Few days later,I moved it out of annoyance to my room close to my work station so I could use the Ethernet cable connected to my PC, and by mistake just place it on the window, the 5g light came up, I was like am I am dreaming. I waited, 30mins 5g still on with maximum speed of 20mbps bursting to 50mbps I shock.

Since then, it has been on my window , moving it slightly from there leads to 5g outage and weak network.

The fact that without an Airtel internet subscription makes the box useless makes this a serious NO-NO. Dead on arrival as far as I'm concerned considering the awful nature of the Airtel internet service which goes AWOL at will for long periods.

I use 4G here as well. Infact my location doesn't have 5G network available yet. It's more than adeauate for mu use case.

Why don't you put a call through to airtel cc and complain about this issue at your location. They would ask their engineers to resolve the issue then call you to notify you once it's done.

Lucky you. That network has been largely unreliable with its intermittent cuts every now and then that so very often last long. Even when it works, it's forever stuck on 4G despite being in a 5G serviced location.
