CavendishPlex: Are you about getting a 1st, 2nd, 3rd or even a 4th grade Tokunbo or Nigerian used vehicle and would love to uncover any hidden faults before you part with that hard earned cash or you have that annoying light that has come up on your vehicle's dashboard which has gotten you so confused and you don't know what it means? The OBD2 scanner is your best bet!
How does it work?
This pocket-sized device when plugged into the ECU port of your car (usually beneath the steering wheel) is paired via Bluetooth with your Android smartphone/tablet PC that has the scanning app installed (e.g Torque Pro). With the scanning app on your phone or tablet, you run a comprehensive scan which uncovers hidden faults and also the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) bearing the faults popping up on your dashboard. With these generated DTCs, a simple web search tells you the exact meaning and area of concentration thereby avoiding a trial and error approach by your roadside Kazeem mechanic.

stacyadams: ..try satellite town u will appreciate Festac hehehe A trip from UBA Marina to Amuwo Odofin last Saturday spoilt for me what was going on as a smooth day. Rider dropped off somewhere between Festac 1st and 2nd gates while I had to go down to around Alakija to make a turn to access the Festac 2nd gate with the intention of going out through the link bridge and then Ago Palace. Oh boy, what an error! The link bridge was in chaos because of what I heard was a fallen tanker or trailer. I had to find my way back to the 2nd gate onto the expressway again. I made the mistake of not getting back to the main carriage way instead of remaining on the service lane when I got to an opening along the expressway.. Not my fault though as I hadn't been to that place in God-knows-how-long. Las Las, I spent 3 freaking hours meandering that Festac/Ojo/Badagry expressway axis. Never will I go down that route again. Never! |

OK, so like I promised two days ago, I have just renewed my subscription with the N2,500 plan and of course got the double data and 800% bonuses as promised. Now let's see how Airtel runs these balances down. I only hope they don't run like the speed of light.
And just like I did mention, upon dialling *141#, I initially got that prompt welcoming me to activate the SmartSpeedo plan, which I declined and then dialled again until I got the prompt I was to use as seen in the 4th picture.

Femistico: I dnt think so, i jst tried it with a #100 sub now for 75mb(150mb) Well, I just assumed that could've been the problem since Airtel says the bonus is only applicable to new sims and as long as they are on the SmartConnect 5.0 plan. Seeing Speedo after dialling *141# ordinarily I believe should raise a red flag. I'll give an update hopefully on Tuesday after I subscribe to one of the available plans. For now, I'm still flexing my 4GB bonus.
|
Phones › Re: Airtel's Small Money Big Data Offers (3GB For N1000) by CavendishPlex: 6:05pm On Jul 28, 2018 |
I suspect those having issues of not getting the bonus data upon subscription get to do so when they dial *141# and then the prompt in the attached picture showing "welcome to Smart SPEEDO!" comes up.
I suggest you cancel it and dial again to make sure that Speedo prompt isn't there as seen in the 2nd attachment.
P.S. Do remember as well that the promo is only open to new lines on the Smart Connect 5.0 plan
