SOME 65 days after President Umaru Yar'Adua left Nigeria to Saudi Arabia to battle for his life, one of the labour leaders in the South-South zone, says he has the answer to the president's protracted health crisis.

Vice President of the Construction and Civil Engineering Senior Staff Association (CCESSA), Mr. Golden Thompson, told our correspondent in an exclusive interview in Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital, on Monday that he has what it takes to rescue Yar'Adua from the claws of death.

Thompson claimed that the amount needed to bring the president back to his feet is just N4, 800. ''The thing there is that the president must be flown down to Akwa Ibom State by any means necessary for me to heal him'', he said.

''Once the president is brought to me, he will in no time bounce back to life to face the challenges of his office and his 2011 re-election campaigns'', he added.

Thompson hails from Ekim Town in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state, and resides in Port Harcourt.

According to him, ''Yar’Adua’s ailment resulted from complication of combination of diseases and can not be healed by orthodox medicine''.

''What needs to be done is to flush his system with the relevant fluid from certain herbs and the president will come back to normal life and resume his duties'', he said.

The labour leader is claiming that he acquired curative powers from his late father who had been deploying his power to the public without costs.

''I am not happy with the controversies that have dogged the President Yar'Adua's ill-health. I am capable of curing my president if his handlers and his immediate family will give me the benefit of doubt. I am not looking for money or attention, i just want to be of help'', he said.

Continuing, he insisted that once healed, Yar’Adua will have the capacity to do a second term.

''We are just being confused by the medical terminology of his ailment. I know much about it. God will use me to get him back on track for the benefit of the country.I have the herbs spiritually delivered to me to cure such sicknesses. I have done that many a time without publicity because i did not acquire the power to make money'', he said.

About 450 dead bodies were said to have been discovered at a well and a shallow grave near the Nigerian Institute of Policy And Strategic Studies, NIPPS, in Kuru near Jos, the Plateau State capital and investigations are on-going to unravel those who dumbed the bodies believed to have been victims of the Jos crisis in the wells.

The identities of the bodies are not yet known and it could not be ascertained if they are Christians or Muslims.

This is even as fresh fears have been express by some Christians alleging that some Muslim fanatics are currently making plans to poison foods and drinks at various fast food joints run by Muslims. Text messages were said to have been sent out over the weekend warning Christians in Abuja to beware of fast food joints owned or operated by Muslims in the capital territory and beyond.

The heightening of suspicion between adherents of both faiths is coming exactly a week after several worshipers in St. Michael's Catholic Church, Nasarawa, Jos, were clubbed to death by suspected Muslim fanatics.

The text messages read "Please don't buy food/drink (poisoned) from Muslim hawkers especially near Church Premises/Convention grounds. That is their new attack plan in Abuja. Please spread this to your loved ones."

Meanwhile, most residents of Jos remained indoors at the weekend over fears that some soldiers ordered by Vice President Goodluck Jonathan may have began avenging the killings of members of their faith or ethnic group.

Food and other basic supplies are reportedly running low and residents who spoke to Pointblanknews.com expressed worries over how to get food, water and money.

The nationwide fuel crisis has not helped matters. Most residents swore to leave Jos as soon as the "siege" is lifted. "It has become clear that their is a grand plot to lay Jos waste, so what else is one supposed to be waiting for" queried one distraught resident.

Sudan would accept the south's secession if southerners were to vote for independence in a referendum next year, President Omar al-Bashir said.

Having declared interest to contest the presidency of Nigeria Football Federation in August, former secretary-general of then Nigeria Football Association, Alhaji Sani Ahmed Toro has said he is waiting anxiously for the Electoral Committee to roll out the guidelines for him to come out with his campaign programme.
Toro stated that his desire to contest is definitely unflinching, irrespective of the opposition.
“What we will assure Nigerians is that, if Sani Toro is alive and healthy and, if it is the will of Allah, I am going tom contest definitely for the position of the presidency of the Nigeria Football Federation.
“The NFF have set up an election body. We want that body to be inaugurated, then they will have to come out with the guidelines.
“We see the guidelines and then we come out with full force to contest for the NFF position.
We will definitely show how Nigerian football should move forward,” he declared.
