*Say imbalance producing poverty

John Shiklam in Kaduna

The National Christian Elders Forum (NCEF), led by a former Minister of Defence, Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (rtd.), and other statesmen, has demanded that Nigeria should be renegotiated, insisting that the current imbalance is producing sorrow and poverty in the country.

In a resolution after an emergency meeting of the group on Thursday, which was made available yesterday by the NCEF Secretary, Mr. Bosun Emmanuel, the group accused the federal government of mismanaging the #EndSARS protests in the country by deploying the army to attack unarmed protesters in the country.

The resolution was titled‘#EndSARS – It is time to renegotiate Nigeria.’

NCEF demanded that whoever authorised the deployment of troops should be court-marshalled for murder.

The group also urged the government to take advantage of the protests to introduce state police.

The resolution read partly, “It is time to re-negotiate Nigeria. The time is ripe for Nigeria to be re-negotiated. The political imbalance in the country has produced nothing but sorrow, poverty, and death for Nigerians. The unjust and sectional political structure left behind by the British colonialists is no longer sustainable.”

Speaking on the protests, the group said, “NCEF wishes to express great sorrow at the recent events in the country which commenced with nationwide protests against the excesses of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad and climaxed in the death of some of the unarmed protesters, security personnel, and mindless destruction of properties. All the lives lost are Nigerian and there was no need for any of them to have died.

“There must be full National Assembly inquiry into the causes of death and destruction that trailed the peaceful #EndSARS protests…. The government must be fully investigated for the role played by security agents in transporting, and supervising vandals and thugs to attack the protesters

“The prison breaks and widespread arson should be diligently investigated as there are allegations of government complicity to discredit the protest.

“The current situation was mishandled by the government of President Muhammadu Buhari because the army was released against unarmed protesters in Nigeria. Whoever authorised the deployment of troops to face the protesting youths should be court-marshalled for murder.

“It is curious that a government that claimed it negotiated with terrorists and integrated them into the military could not negotiate with unarmed protesters but chose to shoot them. This double standard that is characteristic of the Buhari administration is condemnable.

“As the country mourns the death of the protesters, the security personnel, as well as other people who died as collateral damages, NCEF appeals to the youths to suspend any further public protest. The point has been made that though Nigerians are tolerant and patient, they are not docile.

“The government should take advantage of the protests rejecting police brutality to introduce state police. This is the appropriate step under the circumstances to ensure adequate and effective security nationwide and henceforth localise any case of policeexcesses to the states.

“The failure of government to declare state police at this point should be interpreted to imply that a centrally controlled police is desired by the government in order to continue to provide state cover for marauding Fulani herdsmen, kidnappers, bandits and Boko Haram.”

Politics / Akeredolu Can’t Stop Me From Visiting Ondo –wike by ceejayclas(m): 2:15pm On Sep 29, 2020
Rivers State Governor, Nyelson Wike, has declared that his Ondo State counterpart, and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu lacks the power to ban him from visiting the state.

Wike said he could visit Ondo State anytime he wished to do so, as the constitution guarantees him the right to do so.

Featuring on a live television programme monitored in Akure yesterday, Wike said Governor Akeredolu lacks the moral and constitutional rights to stop him from visiting Ondo State or supporting his political party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the forthcoming governorship election.

Akeredolu had last week declared Governor Wike a persona non-grata in Ondo State and warned him (Wike) not to play the roles of godfather in Ondo governorship election, like he allegedly did in Edo State.

But, Wike said Governor Akeredolu’s statement was unexpected of him as a lawyer who knows the position of the law regarding his fundamental right of movement.

He said: “I don’t want to believe that Governor Akeredolu said what he was quoted to have said because he knows the consequences of saying such. I can visit Ondo State tomorrow and nobody can stop me.

“I was in Edo State before the election and the Inspector General of Police told me to leave but I told him I would not leave the state and I didn’t leave. In the same vein, Governor Akeredolu or any other person in the state or the country cannot stop me from visiting Ondo State at anytime I wish to do so.

“Akeredolu was in Rivers State during one of our bye elections and nobody stopped him. He was in Rivers State to campaign for the candidate of his party and we didn’t stop him. So, how come he now wants to stop me from visiting Ondo?” he queried.

He urged the people of Ondo State to repeat what happened in Edo State by voting massively for the PDP in order to liberate the state.

Politics / Coronavirus Pandemic: The Curative And Politics by ceejayclas(m): 11:01am On May 08, 2020
https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2020/05/05/coronavirus-pandemic-the-curative-and-politics/

By Paul Olisa Ojeih

On March 3rd, 2020, I got a call from the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed. It was a 5 minutes call. The call was centred on Iris Medical Foundation Drugs and its effectiveness in treating the Corona virus. I was blunt with the minister, I told him the truth, I asked him, do you people in Abuja want the cure or you guys just want to be making billions from grants from America, WHO and other international agencies?

The truth is COVID-19 is a curable viral infection that we should not lose sleep over or fret over.

In 1985, there was a major viral out break in Tanzania. The fatality of the death ratio was 10 infections to 9 death on a daily basis. The then president, Julius Nyanrere, invited Prof Dr Paul Ojeih Snr, founder of Iris Medical Foundation who stepped into Tanzania and within 3 months the virus was contained and within 6 months, there was a cure.

That virus was treated with a phynto organic drug known as VENEDI ELIXIR. The virus was later classified as Ebola virus.

I told Nigerians on social media that our government, most especially the Minister of Health, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, NCDC, are reaping Nigerians off and making billions from this pandemic that never existed.
In my letter to the Minister of Information, I told him that COVID-19 is perfectly treatable and curable.
I told the minister that I will infect myself with the virus and that under 73 hours the virus will be cured. I staked my name, my reputation and credibility that Corona virus is a curable disease.

Iris Medical Foundation Drug and Pharmaceutical has an authentic cure for this virus, a cure derived, from the enzymes of plants which is pharmaceutically engineered to treat complex viral infection.

Our drug VENEDI Elixir for 18 years has been used, in the treatment of HIV viral infection, Herpes Viral infection, Syphilis viral infection and infections that are drug resistant.

I have told the federal government to stop playing games, to stop looting our treasury all in the name of borrowing money to build isolation centres that we don’t need. They know the games they are playing.

They don’t want to listen because this COVID-19 pandemic is a money-making venture, they are putting fears in Nigerians keeping them at home and milking our economy dry.

So far our government has spent billions of Naira, money that would have been put into good use. The truth they say is bitter, and the bitter truth is Corona virus is another oil boom for some selected criminals in the government. When Madagascar launched their Herbal initiative to get a cure, I drew the attention of the minister of information and culture, who in turn informed the Minister of Health, Dr Osagie, Ehanire, who went on air and said traditional medicine will be inculcated into the fight against COVID-19.

This was never done. While foot dragging? A tiny island nation like Madagascar found a cure through herbal medicine. Then our shameless Chairman of the presidential task force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, said we were going to import a plane load of the Madagascar herbal cure.

Shame, to the country, shame, to the government, shame to the Minister of Health and the NCDC that have been playing games and politics and making billions off this pandemic that never existed.

I state, once again for the sake of clarity and emphasis that Corona virus is a baby virus, a virus that is perfectly curable under 72 hours with Iris medical foundation drug known as VENEDI Elixir.

I have asked the government give me 10 infected patients, let’s place them on Iris Drugs, we keep meeting with a brick wall of resistance. Why are they foot dragging? What is their fear and resistance? They play politics meanwhile people are dying, people are losing their jobs and the country is sliding into recession.

As a patriotic Nigeria, I have done my bid. I have sounded the alarm that Corona virus is a baby virus, it’s a friendly virus that is perfectly curable.

This is a virus that is very stable in clinic, a virus that does no harm to the body tissues and organs except when not treated.

In essence the virus can be within you and your body system still functions perfectly well within 72 hours or even longer.

This cannot be said of other deadly virus such as Ebola. Immediately Ebola enters your blood stream, your immune gets compromised and shutdown and within 48 hours, you start bleeding from all bodily pores, all openings and within 72 hours, you’re dead.

But with COVID-19, you don’t even know you’re infected because the virus is not a violent virus that takes over your immunity and shuts it down.

We at Iris medical foundation for over 25 years have been into drug research and cure, we understand what it means to compound drugs from plants and enzymes and synthesise it into potent cure.

Our founding MD, Professor Paul Olisa Ojeih (Professor of Medicine) is a pioneer in Alternative and Comparative Medicine and has popularised Alternative medicine and sector that China, and Indian have taking the lead on. This is one sector that our government has refused to encourage and invest in, yet a tiny island nation like Madagascar has created and perfected the cure to Corona virus.

Finally, when we say we in Iris Medical Foundation Drugs and Pharmaceutical have the cure for Corona virus, we indeed have the cure.

All we ask is, for our leaders to stop playing Russian Roulette with our lives and avail Nigerians the cure to the virus. May God help us all.

-Dr Paul Olisa Ojeih is the Managing Director, Iris Medical Foundation Drugs and Pharmaceutical.
Politics / Buhari's Picture Doctored To Add Face Masks To Deceive Nigerians by ceejayclas(m): 11:42am On Mar 27, 2020
A photo circulating on Facebook in Nigeria appears to show President Muhammadu Buhari shaking hands with the nation’s Code of Conduct Bureau Chairman Mohammed Isa while both men are wearing face masks — a seeming flouting of precautions during the novel coronavirus pandemic. This is not what happened. The image was doctored using an old photo, taken long before the pandemic.
The image was used in several Facebook posts, including this one by Scannews, which has been shared more than 400 times since it was published on March 21, 2020.

AFP has debunked multiple Facebook posts from Scannews in the past.

In this post, the text accompanying the image called on Nigerian health officials to educate the president on precautionary measures against the spread of the virus that has claimed nearly 20,000 lives since it emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019, as reported here by AFP.

The text reads: “Buhari: What is the role of his doctors and officials of the Federal Ministry of Health? You cover your nose, but shake hands. They should properly educate President Muhammadu Buhari on the precautionary measures to be taken.”

The image also appears in posts shared here, here and here on Facebook, here on Instagram, and here and here on Twitter, alongside a similar claim.

But the photo has been doctored. AFP ran a reverse image search and traced the original photo, which does not include face masks. It was shot during an event in May 2019, months before the start of the pandemic.

In a news report published May 27, 2019, Nigerian newspaper The Punch captioned the photo: “Buhari receives asset declaration form from Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Prof. Muhammad Isa.” This photo was slightly cropped, but an uncropped version can also be found in a Facebook post published by Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina.

A side-by-side comparison of the two images shows the viral image has been manipulated to add masks to both Buhari and Isa’s faces.

Key phrases such as “Code of Conduct Bureau”, and “Asset Declaration Form for Public Officers” that were written in bold letters on the cover of the document held by the two men in the original photo were blacked out in the doctored version.

With Nigeria’s number of confirmed COVID-19 cases rising to 46, including one death, as of March 25, 2020, the nation’s centre for disease control urges Nigerians to adopt the use of “no-touch greetings” as a form of social distancing to reduce the spread of the virus.
