Juma Kapuya, a 73-year-old politician has shocked many people after marrying a girl almost three times younger than himself.
The former parliamentarian at Urambo constituency in Tanzania, wedded the beautiful young lady on Sunday, February 17, in a ceremony graced by family and friends.

Photos and videos posted online show the couple exchanging vows in front of a lively crowd as Juma said ‘I Do’ to one Mwajuma Mwiniko in the ceremony which was held in line with Muslim customs.
Internet users have reacted to the marriage differently, with some saying the girl has the right to choose whomever she wants to marry since she is above 18.

A baby was found abandoned beside the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

The child was found on Sunday night on the floor, out in the open. She was properly dressed before being dumped by the street.

All is not well for 2013 Project Fame winner, Olawale Ojo, who has now turned a cab driver many years after winning the ultimate prize.

In an interview with writer, Tope Delano, Olawale revealed why he chose to become a cab driver after attaining fame in the past.

I met Olawale a couple of weeks ago and at first he did not want to grant the interview but eventually did. I know alot of us have so many questions as to how he ended up here and I promise you, all that was dealt with in the full video.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has postponed the February 16 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The polls will now hold Saturday February 23.
This was one of the decisions reached early Saturday morning in a meeting INEC chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, had with the 12 national commissioners in Abuja.

Addressing the media at about 2:45am, Yakubu explained that the shift was mainly due to logistics problems faced by the commission.
“Following a careful review, the commission came to the conclusion that proceeding with the elections will not be feasible”, he said.
Yakubu explained that the decision was taken in order to give the nation a free, fair and credible exercise.



“Furthermore, the Sovernorship and State Houses of Assembly and FCT elections will hold on Saturday March 9”, the electoral chief added.
The national elections are expected to hold at 119,973 polling units across the country while collation of results will take place in 8,809 Registration Areas or Wards, 774 Local Government Areas and 36 States and the FCT.
This is not the first time that the commission would postpone a scheduled general election.

In 2015, the Presidential Election was shifted from February 14 to March 28th, 2015; while the Governorship and State House of Aassembly and FCT elections scheduled for 28 February were shifted to 11 April.

The Mayor of the City of Toronto, John Tory, has proclaimed every February 6 as Bob Marley Day.

Bob Marley was a Jamaican singer and songwriter who created a mix of reggae, rocksteady and ska in his musical compositions.
He died on May 11, 1981 at the age of 36 from skin cancer.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Marley was popularly known for his songs One Love, No Woman No Cry, Redemption Song, Buffalo Soldier, Get Up Stand Up , Is This Love, and a host of others.

The Mayor made a tweet which was accompanied by a photo of the proclamation through his official Twitter handle, @JohnTory.

This Toronto tradition pays tribute to Bob Marley’s legacy of peace, harmony and the unity of humankind. His music lives on today and is a guide towards a world united one love'.

Respected Nigerian cleric, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has spoken to Nigerian journalists about the 2019 elections.

According to a Vanguard report, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the fiery Catholic Priest and Spiritual Director of the Adoration ministry Enugu, Nigeria, AMEN, has urged journalists to be fair and objective in their reportage during the 2019 general elections.

Fr. Mbaka stated this at the Thanksgiving Mass in honour of Prince Petrus Obi, who was elected Vice President, South East, Zone C at the 6th Triennial Delegates Conference of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The priest expressed joy for Prince Obi to have remembered that he should thank God for what he did for him and prayed that he would receive more blessings.

Fr. Mbaka, who narrated the story of the ten lappers who were healed by Jesus Christ but that only one of them came back to show gratitude, urged Christians to always remember to give due glory to God whenever their needs are met, stating that the attitude of gratitude brings more blessings.

At a grand reception organized in his honour by South East journalists at the 82 Div, Army reception hall in Enugu, Prince Obi commended journalists in the zone for their profound support, promising to make the welfare of journalists his top priority.

In his own speech, the National President of Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Mr Honour Sirawoo called on journalists in the South East to give the Vice President great support to enable him achieve enviable goals set out by him.

The event attracted top journalists from both print and electronic media from south east and other states across the federation.
