During your registration,your waec/neco result and jamb result was uploaded on unijos portal ,they are going give admission based on your waec and jamb result. if admission is based on waec+jamb,so why come to unijos when you can upload all your credentials online and it gets to them,just as when you send WhatsApp messages and it gets to the receiver without you going to meet the receiver physically.
Unijos still use the point grade system of last year.
waec 50%+ jamb 50%=100%. an example of point grade system is given below.note it is not how Unijos will calculate it's own. it is how unilag calculated theirs last year.
Waec
A1= 10 points
B2= 9 points
B3= 8 points
C4=7 points
C5= 6 points
C6=5 points
your 5 core students is used
while your jamb score is divided by 8.
for example a medicine and surgery aspirant had 5B3 in his core subjects( maths,English, physics, chemistry and biology) in his waec and scored 280 in jamb.
using the illustration above.
B3= 8points
5B3= 5*8 = 40 points
Jamb score
280/8= 35 points
waec+ jamb = your point
40+35= 75 points
the aspirant's point is 75 points,if the cut off for medicine is above 75,he does not get admitted but if the cut off is less than 75,he gets admitted.
I don't know whether Unijos is very transparent in its admission (about the indigenes with lower score being favoured over non indigenes with higher scores especially lucrative courses like medicine,pharmacy, law etc) but with what I have heard after speaking to two medical students personally,it seems being an indigene gives an edge over your peers.

no physical screening, examination. you only submit your credentials online, you don't have to come to Unijos for screening or any exams. For those complaining about not seeing a screening date,note everything will be done on line.

The attention of Management of the University of Jos has been drawn to the circulation of fake information especially on the social media that the University has commenced the sale of Post UTME forms at the cost of Two Thousand Naira (N2000) to candidates who applied for admission into the University. The fake online posts also claim that the University is set to conduct Admission Screening Examinations on 30th September, 2017.
Management wishes to state categorically that the University of Jos is not selling any Post UTME forms. Rather, the University is conducting Post UTME Online Screening of Prospective Candidates for the 2017/18 Admission exercise through its web portal
https://mis.unijos.edu.ng.
For the avoidance of doubt, the process of screening prospective candidates for admission into the University for the 2017/2018 Academic Session is being done ONLINE, therefore no physical screening, examinations or test will be conducted for the purpose of this exercise.
All prospective candidates seeking admission into the University are advised to be wary of any contrary information and should check details of instructions, payment, registration and other procedures of the Post UTME Screening exercise via the University’s website on

No exams like oda skuls ,just screening and submission of your credentials i.e waec,neco,jamb result,and other relevant documents. Unijos will likely use waec and jamb combo like last year. I feel bad because most federal schools are conducting post ume ,why unijos own dey different?

It's seems like there will post-ume exams,only screening...too bad every other schools are reverting to post-ume. unijos chose to be flirting with screening,reason some good students are at home.

This is to inform candidates who made the University of Jos their institution of first choice and scored 180 and above in the 2017 UTME that the University website will be opened from Monday, 11 September, 2017 to Friday, 29 September, 2017 for the UTME/DE online screening through https://mis.unijos.edu.ng
The deadline for the online screening of bio-data / credentials may not be extended. Therefore, any candidate whose screening details are not submitted within the stipulated time will not be considered for admission.
A. Eligibility
All candidates who made the University of Jos their 1 choice and scored 180 marks and above in the 2017 UTME JAMB examination.
B. General Instructions:
(i) Any candidate who fails to complete the online screening will automatically forfeit the chance of being considered for admission.
(ii) Withholding information or provision of wrong information will lead to instant disqualification.
Offenders shall be handed over to the law enforcement agents for prosecution in addition to being disqualified.
(iii) Candidates are required to upload their current passport photographs.
C. Candidates’ results will be screened according to the entry requirements of the respective
programmes that they have chosen.

D. Specific Instructions:
(i) Each candidate shall pay a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N 2,000.00) only (excluding Bank charges) for the screening.

Remita collection platform at any Commercial Bank operating in Nigeria as follows:
a) Bank Branch:
· Visit any Bank Branch operating in Nigeria
· Present your payment to the Teller (over-the-counter) and say you want to pay University of Jos Pre-Admission Screening Fee via the
Remita platform.
b) Remita Collection Platform:
· Access the collection platform via
www.remita.net
· Click “Pay Federal Government Agency”
· Enter “UniJos Pre-Admission Screening” as payment details
· Enter the required details including your JAMB Number and Full Name
· Select any preferred electronic payment channels (ATM cards, internet Banking, mobile wallet, POS etc.) to complete your payment.
The payer will be issued an electronic receipt following payment, which he/she will keep for further processing.
Candidates are strongly advised against patronizing road side Business Centres for making payment. ALL PAYMENTS WILL BE VERIFIED BEFORE ADMISION PROCESSING.
(ii) Visit University of Jos Portal https://mis.unijos.edu.ng/
for registration procedure as follows:
a. Create an Account using your email address and phone number. A verification email is automatically sent to your email
b. Log into your email and click on the confirmation link to enable you continue your registration
c. Complete your registration by providing your Bio-data information, including O’ Level details, payment details (RRR and Date), upload your passport photograph and other information as required
d. Click the ‘submit’ button to save your details on the University Portal
e. Print Pre-Admission Screening slip and keep it for further processing.
NOTE
Misrepresentation/falsification of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are, therefore, advised to submit genuine documents only. Anyone found guilty of this offence will be disqualified automatically and in appropriate cases, be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agencies.

whoa dunno what to say. well admission to study medicine is just luck bro .your jamb score is good enough to secure you admission into medicine and surgery i have friends who have lower jamb scores than yours and Also catchment area helps alot. what's your state of origin? you also stand a high chance if you're from any of the north central states . just keep hope alive all the best.

According to news making the rounds, it seems as if the admission screening form will be out by first week September ,so everyone 's ears should be on the ground to know when the form comes out...
From a reliable source,I have managed to find out the school fees price range. For fresher's it isinthe range of #60000-70000 including acceptance fees,departmental dues,accommodation and other fees ,it may even be lesser if u don't want to stay on campus....and for the old faces ie.the 200 lvl and above it is #45000.
And for the school calendar,the school is still on first semester ,unijos and slow calendar,from my sources we may resume next year april(yes u heard me right)....the present 100lvl resume April this year ,so we are resuming next year ...

What model is used in unijos (I want to change my initial first choice of university of Ibadan mbbs to another federal university ).Moreover, I'd like to compare unijos as it is against uniuyo. please house, what is the admission model adopted by unijos and how transparent are they in their admission process. I heard they are they are tribalistic in their selection. Thinking of switching to unijos mbbs from my initial UI mbbs.

-I don't know the exact mode of calculating olevel result but they ask for the relevant 5 subjects,and they are very transparent,if u merit it u are given admission.
-They are not tribalistic,I'm sure the Igbo population in unijos will rival the indigenes studying there. I'm also sure the indigenes studying medicine are not more than the Igbo dudes there,
-medicine is competitive in all schools but unijos will less competitive as compared to schools like UI,Unilag,Unillorin, UNN and the likes.
-u getting admitted depended on ur jamb result and olevel result, a high jamb score and As in ur core subjects will increase ur chances there ...

With 280 in ABU, their is no way u're name wont be on merit list, unless dem no like u for ya village!.....but in Unilorin, Ur chances are not as high as that of Abu!....Not saying u dont have a chance in unilorin, Only saying ur chance is greater in Abu

Guy don't dull ooo medicine is competitive everywhere ooo over 12,000 applied med in Abu last year more than most uni in the south,east and west .
and ABU is somehow,it is neither straight nor transparent ,the method of admitting is nothing to write to home about...
they pay preference to the north mostly the Hausa's
so man 280 against 12,000 pple and C's in olevel for mbbs and u tink na village pple its more than what you think...
If 275 can't fetch law in ABU,is it 280 that can fetch MBBS

193 is low for any related courses and they still require accounting,to stand a chance you should have credited accounting
