I'm a graduate of microbiology with a vast experience in the oil and gas industry in the area of instrumentation and electrical installation. I fear my advancement in this field may be inhibited by my educational background. What do I need to do to back up my educational background?

My PGD application in Electrical engineering has just been turned down because of my first degree (microbiology).
