I'm also a Medical Doctor and I face this scenario with patients regularly. Personally I don't use drugs because I CAN'T AND I DON'T fall sick, everything is a function of faith. The problem is people don't have an understanding of faith. Many people think it's strong mindedness that want to have what it likes without a foundation. Any faith that's not based on personal revelation from a divine encounter is likely to fail. I got my own command of health from a revelation of the word and because whatever God(the word) does is forever, it has withstood several tests and never failed me. What I do with those kind of patients is to find out where their expectations come from, is it because they heard so and want to join the bandwagon OR because a pastor said so? If it's not a revelation of truth I just advice them to use drugs.
One scripture that opened my eyes concerning faith is this :
My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste: So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
Proverbs 24:13‭-‬14 KJV
So the reward for the right word encounter is sure delivery of your expectations. as long as the expectation is based on the word, you can rest easy, your friend will be fine.
Another scriptures that buttresses this is
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
Proverbs 4:20‭-‬22 KJV
Any one that has found the right word encounter should not be bothered. So the challenge is to decipher whether what your friend has is Word based faith or just a desire
Another thing that just struck my spirit from both scriptures I just shared above is that, Word encounters don't just happen, YOU ACTIVELY SEEK FOR THEM TILL WE FIND IT AND WHEN YOU GET IT, YOU JUST KNOW YOU HIT A JACKPOT, now I see what David meant when he said[b] Psalm 119:162 KJV: I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.[/b]

Also personally do not use medication.

Mine is based on the fact that Jesus has paid for my good health as revealed in scripture.

Whenever anything contrary tries to rear up, I simply meditate on this fact and profess it - voila!

Learned the hard way though.

My close friend who is also a believer complained of symptoms of asthma, he had rejected it as not being his portion.

Now, I believe that Jesus Christ has made full provision for sound health. At the same time I am a licensed medical doctor.

This is a dilemma, I affirm God's provision of health, and at the same time, I am aware that untreated asthma can lead to sudden death.

My solution - understand that God's promise/provision and our experience in some way can be viewed as the relationship between aviation and gravity.

The experience of flying is not the denial of gravity.

It is the imposition of a higher law over another.

It is wrong to go the top of a building and, without any prior preparation, jump off and expect to fly! It is wisdom to rather do this in a wise and practical manner including adequate preparations. Consider how much safer it is to engage this higher reality by utilising an aircraft.

I encouraged him to go for evaluation and accept therapy as offered - prudence is to heed God's warning signs.
Afterward, to find out God's provision on this matter and engage it by continuously meditating on and professing this reality.
The life of God begins to manifest as we change our deepest thoughts and continuously affirm same. Soon, you realise your experience has eased into this higher reality.

Some are mature enough to jump and fly. If you're NOT certain to jump off the cliff and NOT crash, please use the aircraft of wise - common sense. Cheers

But when it happens, i have a deep sense of peace and conviction; The enemy has already used the Scriptures to lure Me .But somehow i would always feel uneasy and jittery. like something is not right somewhere and a lot of inner conflicts would follow
The last phrase "i will always be with you" when i "heard" it i kind of "saw" Matthew 28:20, it crossed before my eyes, like a ribbon floating; i don't know to explain it. Then i felt a warm, reassuring presence in my heart;

But thank you very much for the reminder. One can never say he/she has arrived in this area called "faith"

Deep sense of conviction or certainty is one witness.

Right interpretation of scripture is always in context and agrees with other revelation of scripture.

Feelings originate in the body (flesh) which we are instructed to mortify/crucify.

Joy/rejoicing is not a feeling.

We are in faith already.

We have the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faith is access into God's grace (or provision).

We are all maturing unto the stature of Christ.

No ma. The only person who had all the gifts (because the holy spirit was poured on him without measure was Jesus. All others are just given a measure of the spirit/ gifts. That's why apostle Paul said....to some he gave teachers. To others....etc. He never said to some he gave all. We were never to have all of the gifts. I guyess God purposely ensured this so that we can all new each other in one way or the other in humility.

Seems she was refering to 1cor 12 - word of wisdom, of knowledge among others - manifestationa/gifts of the Spirit.

Ephesians 4 refers to Ministry gifts.

There have also been a lot of opinions on measures of the Spirit. Personally think more light needs to be shed on it.

It can be harmful to reach a wrong conclusion on sensitive topics as such can significantly limit/alter your experience of your walk with the Lord.

Looks like when God wants to make Me feel stupid or wants to show me the foolishness of an action or a situation, He speaks to me with an igbo accent. And it works all the time!!

Some weeks ago, boredom is not good, my people; there was time i felt some spiritual dryness; i felt alone, whenever i would pray it would be as if my prayer would not even cross my roof or worse , it was as if i was talking to myself

Still at the office...someone was miming a rap twerk/song, me too i got curious and went to listen to it. AT ONCE , something prompted me in my heart to stop listening IMMEDIATELY. I closed the Youtube window at once.
Nothing happened.
The next day, in the evening, when i was reading my Bible i heard that "Osuofia" voice:

"So... I pretend toh be absent for a few days and these are the things you are doing, eh?"

I didn't respond ; I could just thank my stars that i obeyed the order to stop listening.

Then the voice softened and the tone too changed " Look, i am with you always, even when you do not feel Me, even when i seem absent, I am never far away"

Please be careful of voices.

Beloved, believe not every spirit but try the spirits whether they are of God for many false propheta are gone out into the world.

The Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself but testifies of Jesus.

Please be careful, first the enemy tries to gain familiarity then gradually begins to lead astray.

Take time to think on the Word, you will easily spot the false.

Not just the letters but also the patterns of behaviour and relationship found in the writings and experiences of God's saints (the Bible).

Ask for proof of two or three witnesses (2cor 13) for every voice.

Believers are given the manifestation of the gifts.

One does not own the gift, rather it is the privilege of expressing it for the futherance of His purposes.

The Owner of the gifts resides within us.

20= Number of expectancy or redemption.
500= Abundance of God's grace (in your case).
Coconut= a blessing to take place in your life (in the future).


What God is saying is that He will bless you out of His Grace and it won't be because of your works. You are expecting something in your life, He will give that thing to you in a miraculous way and redeem you(changing your whole life). He will turn your life around.


500-20= 480
4= Creation
8= New beginning
0 = Life (in your case)


Your change should have been 480, this means that a new beginning will be formed in your life after this event. But God is insisting that this will be done not from your doing but from His divine mercies and grace.

Expect a marvellous blessing coming into your life soon. And remember that it is God's doing and not yours.

So sorry about your experience in that church. It's unfortunate that undershephards and stewards consume thw charges they are suppossed to care for.
However, you don't have to allow that sidetrack your walk with the Lord. Within you, there is an intuition of the truth despite the seemingly contradiction.

Believing on Jesus is not about working for Him but rather leaning and learning of Him.

Jesus loves you and died for you.

Please, what is the interpretation to a dream of purchasing a coconut with N20 and then getting a free (offered to pay but no change for the N 500 note left) bus ride. The destination happened to be a meadow where some instruction was being given.

Was calm through all.

Especially puzzled by the cocnut.

Relationships! Are you clear yet on the bible position on marriage?

Please take that as a foundation, no matter what happens/has happened.

Voices/dreams /prophecies... They are good only when they come as support to bible position. These are supposedly inspired by the Holy Spirit - same that inspired the Bible so judge them all, if they don't align-throw them out.

The enemy has a lot of deception in this area. Once heard a loud voice saying "she's your wife". The lady in question had about three suitors at that time. Thank God for wise counsel that saved me. A lot of people were made a laughing stock then and the lady ended up marrying badly.

There is no particular lady you must marry. You're a prophet? So was papa hagin.

Put your mind off anyone in particular. He that believeth shall not make haste. Continue walking with the Lord and a lady will come to your attention that you'll be convinced is perfect for you.

Dont be anxious about who to marry - remember, marriage itself isn't compulsory.

@helseafan99, I'm also from Edo state and have had similar experience with witch doctors. Decided to make a clean break with all that and some funny experiences began to manifest. The simple truth is that Jesus has more authority than all those powers, He is the only source of safety and both now and also in the life to come.

The first step is to receive salvation, then to get baptized in the Holy Spirit and afterwards learn of your authority in Christ and exercise it.

The evil influences want you to serve their cause, there is no future on that as the devil uses, corrupts and dumps afterwards.

Please make the right choice. The devils will keep disturbing you until you bring a more powerful influence to bear (Jesus) , submit or are no more.
