Politics / Note To Mr President by CHAIRMAN1(m): 7:36am On Oct 09, 2015
The worst managed and most corrupt ministries aren’t those whose coffers have been looted blindly by thieving politicians over the years, the worst are those with so much potential lying untapped and fallow. Those that have been abandoned for decades most especially as a result of mismanagement and the discovery of black gold. What is the petroleum Ministry! Does Mr. President know how much untapped Tourism potential Nigeria has? Why does the tourism ministry keep depending on the proceeds of Oil sales for its day to day running? What about defense? Nigeria’s defense ministry has recorded constant failures in the last decade fighting insurgencies. Ironically, Nigeria has the largest congregation of blacks you can find anywhere in the world. Why can’t we use our numbers like China? Why can’t they recruit and train another 1 million military personnel to crush insurgencies? Why can’t our military be ‘exported’ to help out with regional peace keeping without the core feeling their absence? Why isn’t the military manufacturing her own weapons in conjunction with her researchers, Engineers and some local weapons manufacturers?
On to the Agriculture sector, why did Mr. President have to reverse the importation ban placed by the previous administration on rice? Why can’t we be self-sustaining in rice production? Why is the Agric sector moribund? With the teeming number of unemployed in the society, why can’t the government partner with them via schemes to help them kick start careers in Agriculture? Why do we still keep importing turkey, Chicken and even FISH?

Mr Buhari should as a matter of urgency declare a state of emergency on these four ministries plus the industry and manufacturing ministry for a start. He better jettisons his plan to become the minister of Petroleum and instead corner the Defense and Agriculture positions for himself. He is an ex-military man and a successful dairy farmer so these two positions fit him much more. He should leave Petroleum experts in charge of the Petroleum ministry.

Ambode had earlier approved the appointment of new Directors to the Board of LIRS.
The new directors are Mrs. Akintola Bolaji, Moroof Tijani, Mrs. Arinola Kola-Daisi, Seyi Alade, Mrs. Afolayan Folashade and Ayodele Adebayo with Jimi Aina serving as Board Secretary.
The statement added that the new officers were expected to assume office immediately and work towards implementing the vision of the state government in their respective agencies.

Correct yourself, the heading should be "TINUBU nominates Ogunsawo to replace Fowler at LIRS". We all know Ambode had no single input in the choice of LIRS oga.

I wont join issues with you because I can see you are a riffraff and the IRRE here. I hope and pray the exposure you would get will help you become a better person. Wishing all the scholars the best!

csimms7:
Guy, you are an IRRE!!! Simple and short. Because you didn't finish in flying colors or you remain jobless doesn't make any of our destinies entwined with yours.

Your parents did neither of the aforementioned in your statement and you are obviously a poor learner cos if you were remotely smart or the Europe you claimed to have studied in didn't teach your manners then your life is still yet to be sorted.

What ever brought parents into this? You lack respect for your parents.

On the otherhand, talking about JJC, for the purpose of this, Id accept I've never ever traveled but considering you have done that, I'm trying to see how its bettered your life. For us wey neva travel, make we travel go see you hear!

Education / Re: NDDC POST-GRADUATE FOREIGN SCHOLARSHIP 2015 by CHAIRMAN1(m): 11:04am On Sep 14, 2015
Quit with this childish and classless attitude of trying to rub salt in the wounds of those who weren't successful. Its either your parents didn't do a good job at bringing you up or you were a poor learner. I'd advise that you concentrate on sorting out your travel papers and facing your studies when you get there. Let me come down to your level a bit: Getting the scholarship is no guarantee you will finish your program or finish it in flying colors or even get a good job with whatever degree you finish with. Learn to be humble and watch your language on faceless fora like this.

For the records, I finished my MSc in a top 10 University in the UK over five years ago. So don't think its a JJC like you who has never been to the UK or Europe replying your comment.

csimms7:
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah and some more blahs'.

Lick your wounds and move on to all bitter folks. To those who didn't get it and feel sad but have taken it in good faith I wish you all the best next time.

PTDF scholarship is still on, try it and it can be yours.

I need to even address this Don whatever, I will put it straight to you that you are a liar oooo!!!! I don't mince words! You are lying! Two foreign scholarships kor, double double ni. Even your lie get a lie, a lie, a lieeee!!!

Go to NDDC and fight them don't come here pouring venom and attempting to kill people's joy and hopes.

Politics / Re: Tinubu’s Wife Snubs Saraki, Lawan Takes Oath Of Office by CHAIRMAN1(m): 12:22pm On Jun 10, 2015
If this is true, the Senate leadership should as a matter of urgency suspend Oluremi Tinubu for a fixed period without pay. If her constituents can condone her dormancy(being one of the few senators that didn't sponsor a single bill in the 7th Senate), the good people of Nigeria and the Senate cant, wont and shouldn't condone such rudeness and crassness. A couple of months ago, she was videoed poking her fingers at Senator Obanikoro's face and swearing violently in her native language when he(Obanikoro) went to the chambers to be confirmed as a junior minister.
The hallowed chambers of the Senate isn't Balogun Market, Aswani or Ladipo spare-parts market where your daughter is iyaloja over. In addition, our democracy is over 16 yrs old so therefore, we no longer have the space for such a show of extreme lack of self control in public domain.

I didn't say so, I said Wayas was the Senate President; Dr Joseph Wayas.

ok, but he wasn't the senate president
Politics / Re: 10 Facts About New Senate President Bukola Saraki. by CHAIRMAN1(m): 4:42pm On Jun 09, 2015
Wrong, second republic and not first republic. Joseph Wayas was also his senate president in that dispensation.

deebsman1:

his fada was neva a senate president o, he was a senate leader in the first republic
