An insightful comment I picked from Vanguard.com earlier today: I hail from Nasarawa State. Let me tell you the root cause of this. It's all about 2015. Current Senator Solomon Ewuga (an Eggon man) won as the governor of the state against former governor Abdullahi Adamu in 1999 but it was manipulated in favor of Adamu. Solomon Ewuga again contested in 2007 but former Governor Alhaji Aliyu Akwe Doma was hand-picked by outgoing Governor Abdullahi Adamu. Now, Aliyu Akwe messed up the state, so the incubent Governor Tanko Almakura defeated him in his second-term bid with a massive support from the Eggon people under the agreement that 2015 will be Eggons' turn. But Governor Almakura, nursing a desire for a second term, is not ready to honor the gentleman agreement. This has now given birth to the Eggon cult group called 'Ambatse', meaning; ' time has come'. That is, now it's time for them to produce the governor by all means. So, they are initiating their tribal youths into the cult for violence against anyone (especially in 2015) who stands against their cause. Let me mention that the Eggons are predominantly christians and the minority muslims in the state want to continue to manipulate power in favor of the muslims. But this time around it will be very hard for the incubent governor because Mr Labaran Maku (Information Minister), Senator Solomon Ewuga (currently a senator) and two other House of Reps members in the National Assembly are all Eggons from the state, and one of them is nursing an ambition for the governorship. Wasn't it curious that Mr Mohammed Momoh an Assistant Commissioner of Police who also lost his life led the operation? It's unfortunate that these politicians sacrifice security agents against their will (other than they have to work for survival) for their selfish aims. |
Thanks for cementing your status as a dullard with this post. I asked a simple question, who did better? Sanusi that has cleared the sector of 'bad ceos' has ended up killing Nigerian owned businesses. His focus has been on risk and notthing else. Hitv is dead, many Nigerian banks that could have been bailed out by govt where forcefully seized and sold to his cronies. He left unity bank becuase it was a northern legacy.didn't say u compared iwu with soludo, was only saying Iwu didnt fit the bill for such an analogy. Legendary faceless dullard. texazzpete: I expected this kind of response, in keeping with your status as a brainless individual. Anyone can see I'm not trying to compare Iwu with Soludo, you dunce! I'm trying to drive into your thick skull that an impressive CV does not always translate into sterling performance. |
You're a dull fellow. You'll always be known as a stray simpleton. Its you who's playing the tribal card not me. I'm from. The south south fyi. You just gave a dumb example, trying to compare maurice iwu. Iwu was a biolgist cum election admin. Why would u expect him to do well? Name any other cbn gov past or present that has surpased soludo in his achievements Your insults at me will keep going back to u in multiples.texazzpete: Hero worship and an undue fascination with people will always lead simpletons like you astray. Abeg leave the tribal angle out of this, I know many of you jumping to support this man are only doing so because of his impressive CV. |
bloggernaija: Just like Alan Greenspan. He is extremely overrated. Was it not under his watch the banks went bust.he rode the wave of high oil prices and hot money which poured into the nigerian economy/stock exchange .good he consolidated the banks. Even an ordinary lecturer in my university days made the same suggestion during Abacha days because every Tom dick and Harry had back. However he failed the basic task of the central bank government. To regulate the banks.rather, he was fraternising with them.the impact of the resulting bubble was that a lot of people lost their jobs and livelihood.the same reason he was sacked. You're a bumpkin for hiding behind your laptop to type this rubbish. What do you know about greenspan? Were you expecting greenspan to stop bush from going to war? Alan was head of the federal reserves for the better part of 30 yrs. Is it a coincidence that the low point of his performance curve occured during bushes tenure? Go read his memoirs and see how he blasted Bush. He voluntarily resigned when he saw that the dent on his image was getting worse. Look, obj openly told his advisers that he didn't hire them to heed to their advices. Soludo wasn't exempted from that rule. He did his best and where he couldn't persuade or bend obj, he allowed baba to have his way. You can't have such a cv, consulting for world class institutions by fluke. Learn to appreciate your own! Maybe its because Prof Soludo did all his degrees up to PhD in Nigeria that's why you're brushing his achievements aside. |
abeg o, nairalanders, afam and co, please come to the aid of omotier1. the 40 laptop crew members are coming hard on him. billyonare with his ambigous lies and statements such as 'high net worth purchase' etc and his dirty dozen are using propagandist techniques and tactics to shut him up. gej should concentrate on governance, amaechi as far as I am concerned is a small fish, fighting him would end up making him amass public sympathy. i forsee gej going into political coma very soon. |
Cheers Boss aceTS: check ur mail.enjoy |
Billyonaire: Peace! What ever it takes, the cost of peace is cheaper than the cost of war. Statistics of military budget worldwide is a proof that I am always right on this. America and indeed the world has a lesson to learn from Nigeria on how to treat radical Islamists and win peace at a fraction of the cost of war and armory.I don't know who your paymasters are but I'm warning you to be careful! Desist from spreading falsehood and dangerous propaganda. Your actions and inactions can bring a curse upon your descendants. Be careful Mr man. Any curse you utter or mutter, back to you 100 times. ![]() |

Friday the 5th of April 2013 will remain a black day in Nigeria's history. So many road accidents happened around the country. The most deadly was the 'young shall grow' multiple accident which involved a Dangote cement truck, a petrol tanker and many other vehicles. The other involving a lorry and two RTC buses along the owerri onitsha road. Another happened in Lagos where a family of four(Bello family) lost their lives(mysteriously, a trailer also crushed their private car). The final one I came across was the tragic loss of lives of more than five members of a family (Osim family as announced in church) on their way to their family house in Ikom from Calabar to drop off their granny. A trailer crushed their private car and killed three generations including husband and wife. I'm in calabar so I heard that first. In total, more than 100 lives were lost The big mystery is, all these accidents involved trailers. If we can remember, earlier on friday, Pastor Chris of Christ Embassy told his followers on his blog to pray against accidents involving trailers on their highways. Even the daily devotional, Our Daily Manner(odm) had 'prayer against accidents' as one of its themes for friday the 5th od April. So I need people to know and understand that our weapons are not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in high places, just as is written in the holy bible. One can also infer from this that the bombings and air accidents and other calamities that have befallen Nigeria in the past decade are more spiritual than man made. I think Nigeria and Nigerians should repent genuinely and go to God prayers. My prayer is that we should never experience such a black day again in the near or far future. |

fubbyy: Lol...Bro you look like a cultist , no offoienseCc: mr cork |
Jollof: 6. Leaving toilets unlocked. Common sense consistently fails to prevail when most Nigerians use the airline's restrooms. It all boils down to refusing to acknowledge the instructions/directions carefully displayed all around them. It's quite simple - you enter the restroom and close it behind you. Right there on door is a slide lock which denotes 'Slide left to lock and right to open'. Why wouldn't I be interested in making sure that no one accidentally sees my 'bits'? Didn't they notice the green 'vacant' or the red 'occupied' sign before entering the lavatory? At my last count I've walked in on 3 unfortunate passengers who forgot to lock behind (but they all did once I exposed them...makes you wonder, eh?).@Op, quit sounding like a diva. This is the gayest piece of shi.t I've seen on nairaland this year. I initially thought all these excuses were written by a girl. What's wrong with encouraging a pilot with a round of applause after some smooth flight? |
I'm tired of seeing this topic and besides no comments since like ages ![]() |
ActiveMan: This is business not compensationSee your life? Anyways you couldn't have said it better Lagbaja is a spent force with no classic since 2003( Lagbaja nothing for you) while Cobhams gave us Asa, rooftop MC's and now Bez.HE fits the description of a perfect ambasaddor; his antecedents and personal life is something to write about. |
And basketmouth together with some of his colleagues went about collecting money to do promos for Dana a few weeks back! For a second I'm thinking that ibb was right when he said the youths are not yet ripe to rule Nigeria. |

rman: The question we should first ask ourselves is: Why do I want to move to another network while retaining my old number (Number portability)? This useless proganda is coming late. From where do you dig your figures? Who told you mtn has the most infrastructure? Have you heard about the glo1 fibre optics line linking africa to europe?to hell with your mtn! If you can remember, there was a prophesy at the begining of the year which I read about here on nairaland that mtn would experience a lot of problems this year. This is one big one coming!!!!!! |
Yes But I'm not sure if its a fire |

berem: so you had to open a new moniker just to make a fool of yourself and impersonating the real Dele Momodu? sorry for you!Berem moderator, stop using harsh words every other time. He might be the real Dele. He's made reference to nairaland on many occasions in his tweets or are you a learner ![]() |
You sound like a slumdog who's just privileged to have internet access. Stop living a virtual life Mr man! Always bragging and sounding like a top shot when in real life you are a riff raff. Berem abeg expose the charlatan. Any insult at me will bounce back on you and your entire family 28 fold. What the author is saying is true though I'm not really a fan his. Billyonaire: You all will be punished for being stupid in the nearest future. Who is Seun ? He is a nobody to me, that's just the truth but I can assure all you biased persona non grata, that this site wont last long should you chose to remain biased. Stop censoring people and staying biased in your regional bigotism. Who visits this site anyway apart from the poor, the needy and the semi-illiterates, its so because the MODS are timid, and the owner doesnt see the bigger picture. |
The Rivers State Governor, Gov. Ameachi have been dropped as the chairman of the Governor's Forum and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Obong Godswill Akpabio is now the new Chair. Got this on 93.7FM News Port Harcourt this morning. GEJ aint smiling! |
born2fuck: I think the guy need to rest for at least 3 days before playing, the same way manchester city fielded Yaya Toure on arrival at start of the games against southampton and they lost the match awfully, Gervinho was bench in arsenal, Tiote was also bench in Newcastle but came on later, the Club should know that body no bi firewood, thank God he messed and not collapse like Foe, player strength and body should be respected, when I first saw ambrose his name on starting list, I thought it was computer error......they deserve to lost, do they want to kill him because of one match even thought he is getting paid, not to lost life levelBros, the fact that Neil Lennon fielded a tired Efe doesn't warrant you to blow this kind of Grammar. They deserve to Lost or Lose? You keep on using Lost instead of Lose. Take it easy abeg. |
