FamilyRe: My Husband Doesn’t Want My Son To Come And Stay With Us by chamber2(m):
Madam,
Listen! All this people advising you to forcefully bring your son to the house against your husband's decision are not helping your situation.

Your husband is a human being like yourself and as well has his reservations. Yes, he may have promised you heaven and earth during courtship. Now, this is marriage and you must face the realities.

You got pregnant for a stranger not once but twice. I blame you for not digging deeper about his root. You were naive.

It's very easy to blame everyone other than yourself. You're blaming your son's behavior on those who opted to assist you in time of need. What of you? How often do you visit your son? How often do you buy gift items, take him out and bring him to your new home on visits? How often do you check on him? Is he in school and how often do you visit him at school and ensure his needs are met?

You transferred the responsibility of caring for your teenage son to others and now you are crying and blaming your new husband? Isn't that sad!

Let me advise you again. It doesn't matter whether you contribute 100% to the family upkeep. He is your husband and surely has a say on who lives in his house, including his mother. He promised you bla bla now he has a daughter too that should be protected from an overtly exposed teenager. Got that?

Since you have failed abinitio to identify ties to your children's real father, you must act wisely and submissively. Plead with your husband and get him to suggest a way out. He is under no obligation to accept the responsibility you wish to bestow on him. So be humble.

Don't allow those living in first world countries to deceive you. It is actually tough to raise children in African, not more a single parent. Be wise.

If your husband is still adamant on bringing your son home. Register him in a Boarding school and ensure you visit him REGULARLY with gifts. Always tell him how much you love and care about him. If every other person fail him you shouldn't too. Show him love and care. Take to eatery, park and games etc. Gradually you will change his mindset about life and make him acceptable to all, including your husband. Say good things about him to your husband and always report his progress/success to him at intervals.

Your husband only needs assurance that he won't be a bad influence to other of his kids and bring his name to disrepute. After all, he accepted your daughter.

Good luck

Politics100 Days In Office - Setting The Agenda For The Imo State Governor by chamber2(op): 6:19pm On Aug 22, 2019
Setting the Agenda for the Imo state Governor

It's almost 90 days since the Imo state Governor, His Excellency Emeka Ihedioha, was inaugurated as the executive governor of Imo State. His emergence as the executive governor came as a relieve to Imo indigenes and lovers of the state as his predecessor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, turned the state into a personal empire; supervising the gradual decay of the ''eastern heartland’’. The Governor so far had started slowly but strategically. Slowly in the sense that there is no major ''digging and pulling down'' of structures in the state as witnessed in the last administration. The governor, in my opinion, is very strategic as he appears to be more organised in his actions and have avoided the haphazard approach in handling state projects as witnessed in the last dispensation. However, the days of jamboree and merrymaking are officially over, and it is time to set the ball rolling as the task ahead is enormous.

As it's traditional, there are a lot of expectations and genuine concerns of Imo indigenes as to the areas the governor is expected to show his strength and demonstrate commitment as some critical areas of the state are currently in comatose. Let me set the stage for the governor by listing seven (7) critical areas of the state that needs urgent attention. I call these areas the ''development catalyst'' as they set the foundation, quicken the pace and speed of growth in modern societies.

Infrastructure- This cannot be overemphasized as it's importance in the growth of modern economy remains invaluable. The governor should make concerted effort towards ensuring that major connecting roads in the state are properly constructed to aid free flow of intra/inter-city vehicular movements. Roads leading to Mbaise/Uwuahia, Okigwe/Mbano, Onitsha Road, Assumpta/PH road etc needs urgent attention as they are the major connecting roads to the city capital, Owerri. The governor should also empower the local governments to construct street roads. Proper drainages and erosion control channels should be provided to avoid flooding during rainy seasons. The infrastructural needs of the state are enormous and the governor should do well to begin with the most basic.

Education-Imo state is one of the major exporters of skilled manpower in Nigeria as evidenced in the statistics released by major educational agencies. This is as a result of deliberate plans by past governments to make education a priority area. The governor should revitalise the technical colleges in the state and turn them into centres of excellence in skill acquisition. Major infrastructural needs of schools should be addressed, and competent, qualified teachers be recruited. There is also need to upskill the skill set of existing teachers and those identified to be chronically deficient in their subject areas should be encouraged to seek alternative employment. Inter/intra school competition in the area of sports, academics and artistry should be re-introduced to encourage and enhance healthy competition among schools. Special education centres and programmes should be introduced to enhance the education of ''gifted'' kids and pupils requiring special attention etc. At the tertiary level the governor should focus on the provision of the basic teaching aids and amenities. Timely and prompt payment of salaries and entitlements. Introduction of competitive scholarship opportunities for Imo indigenes and provision of opportunities for exchange programmes. These and many more will enhance the learning process and ensure that we produce graduates who are competent both in theory and practice.

Health- the major focus of the governor at the interim in this sector will be to ensure that basic healthcare needs are addressed. Issues such as availability of drugs for treatment of common ailment, provision of adequate health personnel especially at the rural areas, provision of basic healthcare amenities, ensuring that there are functional health centres in each electoral ward of the state etc. Partnership with private sector healthcare providers will also enhance the healthcare delivery process.

Security- this is a major challenge in the state as the spate of kidnapping, petty robbery and cult related activities are on the increase. Most kidnapping and armed robbery incidence are completely under-reported. The governor should strengthen the security intelligence network to ensure seamless information gathering and dissemination to appropriate security agencies. There should be 24hours security surveillance along PH road, Ohaji/Egbema axis as major kidnapping incidents occur within that vicinity. etc.

Youth Empowerment-This cannot be overemphasized as it forms the cornerstone of any successful government. The new government should initiate programmes and projects that will empower the youth and enhance their overall competitiveness in the global market place. Skills in I.T, language, sports, craft etc should be imbedded in the youth development initiative.

Agriculture- the concern of the government in this regard will be to initiate activities that will enhance farm mechanisation. This can be achieved through the provision of single digit interest loans to farmers with longer maturity. Pest control services and basic training on farming procedures should also be extended to rural farmers etc

Tourism/Entertainment-Owerri is the entertainment hub of the south-eastern Nigeria. The governor should continue to initiate programmes that will make the state attractive to those seeking fun and relaxation.

Imo indigenes are optimistic that the new administration will bring good tidings to the state. However, the government should remain committed in delivering its mandate in the shortest time possible. The time to start is now.

CareerRe: Pursuing Money Vs Education: Should I Drop Out Of School? by chamber2(m): 3:50pm On Jun 09, 2019
How sustainable is this income/skill in the longrun without education? You need to consider longterm sustainability before making a decision to dropout of school.

My advise is that you find a way to create a balance for the both as they are equally important. Since the skill is online based why not get a mobile device that will allow work even while waiting for lectures. For me, the best time to go to school is when you're still young with limited distractions

The money donated was over 100M. I wonder why the family is saying 80m.

I am sad that the little baby could not make it. I am more saddened that the family is lying about so many things.

Am I the only one that didn't see anything wrong in this Adeosun NYSC certificate saga

After all, what sane Nigerians are clamoring for is optimal performance and good leadership

And she's competent at that

What else did Nigerians want?

Will there be a time we will ever be satisfied and get contented with the kind of leaders we have?

Putin is a dictator

He's far richer than Bill Gate

Yet, Russians aren't complaining about him

Contentment is what we need at the moment and not good leadership

Be contented!

Sorry about the sack,
However, always learn to escalate issues beyond you to your supervisor or superior as the case may be.

If you had reported this incident to your supervisor they take the blame and you are safe.

As a banker learn not to kill transactions on your desk.

In this case the right thing would have been to keep the caller on hold why you report to your supervisor for further directive.

I am sure this will be a lesson to you and others who are CEOs on their desk .

Also, putting your picture and name up there will do you more harm than good
