Politics / Re: Senator Abiola Ajimobi Emerges Acn Governorship Flagbearer In Oyo State by changeboy: 7:09pm On Jan 19, 2011
@HANNIE AND TOBA or primary
On the issue of supporting primary or not
Ajimobi never supported primary as per the present guber contest in ACN is concerned because he knew he is not on ground with majority of party memebers.
The issue of who is in the majority in accepting consensus or primary does not arise as per the electoral act, even if one person rejects consensus, all must go for primary(pls go and study the new electoral act).
Ajimobi came to AC last year from ANPP where he contested for governorship in 2007.
Fashola was nobody when he contested in 2007,this also goes for Fayemi, Aregbe and Mimiko so there is no calling anybody paper weight since all the 3 mentioned never contested election before they did and won.A journey of thousand miles starts with a step.
Let Ajimobi go for primary and prove himself that the party members really want him to lead them.

@ hannie
what do you know? Ajimobi had never supported primary. He also joined the party late last year. During the meeting they had with the leaders of the party,he was one of the 6 aspirants that supported consensus, knowing fully well within party and his only hope lies with the leaders of the party. However, the electoral act has it that all the aspirants must agree on consensus before it can be adopted by any party. Why must how ownACN be different?Concerning lanlehin and Adewusi once work with Tinubu, you should understand that there are some human who will never wish those they superior to attain the same status as them or they may find them difficult to pocket for their own benefit when the latter ready to serve the masses. You can take the case of fashola in lagos.

Politics / Lam Sold Oyo State Acn Ticket For 1 Billion Naira: P.a. Confirms The Paymen by changeboy: 3:32pm On Jan 15, 2011
When is this country going to be free from all the leaders and elders who are greedy, wicked

and corrupt.
Nigeria is a country that is known for the culture that encourage a great respect to the

elders and leaders but contrary to this,
our leaders or elders always come up disappointing their followers and youngers ones

respectively.

The recent incident that occurred yesterday in the ACN CONGRESS at Olubadan Stadium shows

that, our leaders are like a leopard who will never change its skin.Alhaji lam Adesina is a

well respected figure in Oyo state as far as ACN is concern. However,it is claimed in most

political circles that, Lam is an Awoist. But recents events has proved him wrong in

affirmative.

We have an authoritative information that Lam SOLD the ACN FLAGBEARERS/CANDIDATES, MOST

IMPORTANTLY THE GOVERNOR CANDIDATURE to the highest bidder by collecting a handsome sum of 1

BILLION NAIRA from some well respected IBADAN ELITES, Chief Kola Daisi, Chief Arisekola

Alao and a well respected ACN leader and financier from "CENTER OF EXCELLENT". The report

also has it that, Chief Lam personal assistant alhaji fatai is out of the country to Ghana

to confirm the payment.

Though we understand the plight of Chief Kola Daisi who desperately seeking power for his

in-law as a gimmick to curry govt contract thereafter in his desperate bid to pay back a

mouth watery loan of the sum OF SIX BILLION HIS OWING SPRINGBANK,we are amazed by the

involvement of chief Arisekola who has in the past position himself in a siddon look

attitude when Late BABA MOLETE single handedly stage-managed the illegal installation of

AKALA into the Agodi state house in the expense of the then Ibadan indigene governor, yet

his now crying wolf that an ibadan indigene should now become Oyo state governor.

Over the years, some ACN loyalist in OYO STATE has remain steadfast to nurture party from

infant into a big elephant, and continually inbibing and ensuring that all hands are on deck

to move and unite the party through their finances and time. But imposition of candidates

should not be welcomed now that everybody is shouting for a true free and fair internal

democracy in every croons and coner of the nation.

If Ajimobi is truely the most popular aspirant and aspirant with majority suppoters from the

party memberS, i think he should prove that through an election and not an outright

selection from some power drunk Ibadan elites but rather through a free and fair

primary.Furthermore, as the ELECTORAL ACT have it, a voting assigned by number should be recognized by the INEC as a conducted primary, while the ACN constitution also has it that

all the aspirants must agree on the candidate chosen for any consensus which has not be in

the case of yesterday congress.A lesson should be learned from Lagos State ACN governorship

candidate picking that was endorsed by INEC not until Kangaroo primary was conducted by

voting number had been counted

However, the time is ticking away for Ajimobi and Oyo state ACN as other aspirants are

claiming that no primarries were held and no INEC OFFICIALS were there when his hand was

raised during the congress. And if what is claiming by the Electoral Act that every parties

must conducted their primaries according to the electoral act directive by 15th of january

should be follow, ACN MAY FAIL TO PROVIDE ANY CANDIDATE FOR ANY POST IN THE NEXT GENERAL

ELECTION COME APRIL 2011 and this will pose an opportunity for other party like THE

INCUMBENT GOVERNMENT (PDP) and ACCORD PARTY OF FORMER GOVERNOR SENATOR LADOJA WHO CAN

BENEFIT FROM THE CLAMOURING FOR IBADAN INDIGENE

i will like to inform all nairalander that i was one of the delegate at the Oyo State ACN party congress yesterday at olubadan stadium in Ibadan. so i want to give everyone first hand details of what happen there yesterday.

The delegates that participated at the congress were the 33 local govt party chairmen, 33 local govt party secretaries and 351 party ward chairmen, which am one of them.

The congress started peacefully, until the Oyo State party secretary Mr. Wasiu Olatunbosun was summoned to the podium to read out a list of people send down from Lagos to be announce as the party flagbearers/candidates for the 2011 general election.

We, at the congress had been informed that the delegation from Lagos are coming with a list and that we should just affirmed what ever list they are bringing, that was when everybody on the field start asking each other that what do the leaders of the party think that we are . . . ZOMBIES that they will just give instructions without consultations with all the party leaders and members.

As soon as the secretary start to read the list, we started hearing strange names that are not known to party members in their wards or local govt. That was when ALL DELEGATES started to shout in disapproval of all the people on the list.

No voting took place at the venue. Not even voice voting. All these took place in the presence of INEC officials from Abuja, who after more than 2hrs when no voting took place, left the venue of the congress.

It was after the INEC officials left that the National as sisant treasurer raise up Senator Ajimobi's hand.

For more account of what happen at the venue nairaladers can go and check today Nigeria Tribune, Vanguard, Thisday Newspaper. Channel TV, Silverbird TV and other stations covered the congress.

One more important correction Ajimobi's delegates were in the minority at the congress. most of the delegates are in support of Chief Femi Lanlehin, Chief Isamial Adewusi and Chief Soji Akanbi due to their contribution to the party by uniting all party members. That is why Senator Ajimobi did not want to go Thur primaries, because he Jones very well that he would loose woefully
