The police authorities in Gallarate city in Italy, have arrested about 10 Nigerians for allegedly dealing and selling marijuana in the streets.

The group of Nigerians said to be between the ages of 21 and 32, were apprehended along with other African assylum seekers after an investigation by team of officers - cordinated by the deputy prosecutor, Nadia Calcaterra.

The police team which reportedly conducted a thorough investigation combined with video recordings and analysis of telephone records, identified both the methods of finding the marijuana and the places where the suspects stored them.

In December 2017, a survey activity called "African shop" was completed, with the arrest of seven African drug dealers including Nigerians.

With the new operation " African shop 2 ", another blow has been struck against the drug dealing organisation said to be operated by Nigerians.

According to reports, those who are found guilty after investigations are concluded will be deported from Italy.

A chaotic moment was recorded as a young man and his girlfriend clashed yesterday in public in Delta state.

It was gathered that the young man simply identified by his nickname 'Shockey', had a disagreement with his girlfriend and hence, decided to teach her a lesson by beating her in public in Sapele area.

A baying crowd of residents and passersby gathered at the scene as they tried to intervene in the matter between the couple and also stop the guy from further beating his girlfriend.

Internet users have reacted to the unfortunate incident - with many blasting the guy for deciding to 'wash his dirty linen in public'.

A car ran into a Boys’ Brigade procession in Gombe State late on Sunday evening, killing at least 10, according to the Police.

It was gathered that the Boys’ Brigade, from ECWA Church, Bamusa in Barunde and from St Peter’s Anglican Church in were in a procession to Sabon-Layi Area of Gombe metropolis, where they were expected to celebrate Easter on Monday, when a car crashed into them.

A man who reportedly witnessed the incident has narrated what happened. It was claimed that a Civil defence officer popularly known as Adamu Abubakar Ukasha, had a misunderstanding with members of the Boys Brigade, Zone A, while they were on procession during the easter rally at around 12 midnight in their characteristic manner with music and dancing.

The occupants of the car were the civil defence officer, a police officer friend and two ladies. He (Ukasha) was told to use the other lane since the road was occupied. He protested and even threatened to shoot the Boy on duty with his side pistol.

After the ensuing argument he passed, dropped off the girls, and turned around to the lane where the processionists were, turned off his headlights, and in a spiral motion ram into them killing ten people on the spot and injured over 30 persons.

The Civil defense officer and his police friend alighted from the car and tried to escape. They were caught by the mob and beaten to death.

A 24-year-old Nigerian migrant is said to be in critical condition after he jumped from the fourth floor of a building during police chase in Vicenza, Italy.

It was gathered that the Nigerian man was stopped by the police for a routine check and on sighting the officers, the young man allegedly fled and was given a hot pursuit.

The Nigerian man ran into a building to hide from the police who were chasing him. After realizing that there was no escape for him, he allegedly jumped from the fourth floor of the building in a bid to evade arrest.

The Nigerian is said to be hospitalized and in a serious condition. A police officer was also injured due to a fall during the pursuit.

Accrording to reports, the Nigerian during the pursuit, threw away about 25 grams of marijuana he had with him before he allegedly jumped down from the building.

Reports have it that some of the 13 Nigerian mafia gang members arrested in Italy earlier this month, have been deported. It was gathered that out of the 13 suspects, 11 were deported following an investigation by the Italian anti-mafia investigators, (DDA).

The gang said to comprise of members of Eiye confraternity - is accused of managing a human trafficking and prostitution ring. Police said aspiring members had to take part in brutal “initiation rites” to become part of the gang.

Italian police coordinated by DDA anti-mafia investigators in Palermo on April 4th, arrested 13 suspects as part of the so-called ''No Fly Zone'' operation against an alleged Nigerian mafia gang dubbed ''Eiye'' that operated across Italy.

According to investigative sources, two co-operating witnesses in Palermo played a key part in the probe.

The investigation started after a young Nigerian woman, a human trafficking victim herself, who had been forced into prostitution, went to the police. Investigators explained that her denunciation of those who exploited her, who were part of the EIYE organization, helped them begin the investigation.

First police raided the brothel where the woman worked in the central but relatively poor district of Ballarò in downtown Palermo. This discovery prompted a nation-wide investigation and the identification of the gang's leaders. The gang, which was based in Palermo's Ballarò's district but operated nationwide, trafficked in drugs and prostitution, police said.

A young boy who was abandoned by his parents and maltreated by his aunt, has been remarkably transformed few months after he was rescued by the Akwa Ibom state government.

The boy identified as Master Ubong Promise was stigmatized after being accused of witchcraft and abandoned by his immediate family late last year in Ikot Abasi local government area of Akwa Ibom.

The boy's plight was brought to social media by one Endurance Johnson as it caught the attention of some Akwa Ibom government aides.

Hon. Peace Ntuk and Hon. Okon Peter, took the baby to the General Hospital in Ikot Abasi, where they paid for his initial treatment and bought clothes for the baby. Thereafter, prominent people in the state were contacted including Mrs. Martha Udom, the Akwa Ibom First Lady who later adopted the child.

The boy is now in the children's home in Uyo, the state capital, bubbling with life and healthy as he glowed in new images shared online.

A mother of two identified as Mrs. Añurika Chinwuba, was this afternoon bathed with harmful substance believed to be acid by her husband, Mr. Onyeachonam Chinwuba, who allegedly opposed his wife's demand for divorce.

According to the Anambra State Commissioner for Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, the victim who had sought divorce, accusing her husband of living a questionable life, was with her husband in the Ministry of Children and Women Affairs, Awka, yesterday and earlier today where their differences were thought to have been resolved.

It was after they left the Ministry that the husband reached for a bottle containing the harmful substance, which he hid in his clothes, and poured on the victim, causing serious burns on her face down to her body.

The victim was then rushed to the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, where the Commissioner, Lady Mezue, has already gone to visit and promised to support her.

The husband, who is already in the custody of the police, is a native of Mmiata-Anam, in Anambra West Local Council Area.

According to reports, a Nigerian assylum seeker has been arrested in Italy after allegedly attacking and injuring two policemen in Vicenza, Italy.

It was gathered that the Nigerian man was stopped by officials during a simple identification check and he refused to submit his documents while allegedly insulting the officers.

When the situation got out of control, other Nigerian migrants gathered and surrounded the police officers in an attempt to prevent their colleague's arrest.

The police had to call for re-inforcement to calm the tension. When more officers arrived, the Nigerian man allegedly attacked them and bit one in the hand, leading to an injury.

The situation further degenerated as other migrants blocked the police during the chaos. The Nigerian assylum seeker was later arrested as it was discovered that he's in Italy with a permit for humanitarian reasons.

The two injured officers were rescued and transported to the San Bortolo hospital in Vicenza to be treated.

There was pandemonium on Tuesday, 16th April 2019, over an incident which occured at Apapa boundary in Ajegunle area of Lagos.

It was gathered that a boy named Kola Mutiu popularly known as 'Black Jesus', was trying to collect money from a trailer driver before he was crushed to death in the process.

According to eyewitnesses, the boy (Black Jesus) was following the trailer driver whom he was trying to collect money from but the driver refused to settle him. The driver was trying to get away from the boy by driving fast not knowing that he (Kola) was running after the trailer, that was when the victim was hit and crushed.

He was later rushed to the nearest hospital where he was confirmed dead.

It was scooped that the army tried to stop people from beating the trailer driver. When the area boys heard that Black Jesus had died, they turned on the soldiers, as they destroyed their vehicle and also beat them up severly as can be seen below.

Social media has been flooded with pictures of a mother giving her baby daughter an alcoholic drink to take.

In the trending pictures, the yet-to-be identified mother who knew she was being recorded on camera, can be seen giving her child popular alcoholic cream liqueur 'Amarula' to drink.

Facebook user Sammy who shared the pictures -didn't give the exact location where this happened as the incident sparked reactions among internet users.

While some have defended the woman for giving the baby a "little" creamy and chocolate alcoholic drink, others have blasted the woman for not living up to her responsiblity.

A woman who lives in Ikorodu area of Lagos, has undergone a successful surgery to remove a massive fibroid which she had been carrying in her stomach for over 9 years.

The woman sells pure water on the road in traffic with this NIH load in her stomach.

According to report, she had been to five hospitals and was rejected because the height of the fibriod was at the base of her heart from the previous scan she had .

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to share pictures of what he saw in a nightclub recently, sparking mixed reactions among internet users.

The pictures which have gone viral online - feature an unidentified lady grinding hard and pole dancing at a party held in the club while putting on a hijab.

The Nigerian man who said he witnessed it, revealed that other revellers at the party were surprised to see the "religious slay queen" doing her thing in hijab.

A 27-year-old man identified as James Eberechukwu Osuji, from Ehime Mbano L. G. A of Imo State, has been declared wanted by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) for failing to appear in Court on several occasions to stand trial for the offence of rape.

He was charged to Court by NAPTIP for drugging and raping a 17 year old girl in Abuja last year, and absconded after he was granted bail.

The taxi driver was said to have lured the teenage girl to his house and camped her for three days. He allegedly drugged the victim and sexually violated her for the period.

A man from Oluasiri town in Nembe, Bayelsa State, has been apprehended for allegedly shooting his girlfriend to death.

According to Facebook user Igbogi, it was gathered that the suspect claimed his girlfriend cheated on him before he decided to kill her.

It was reported that the man pointed a gun at his girlfriend while interrogating her over the alleged affair with a man she was sighted with - when the gun went off on her, destroyed her face and killed her in the process.

The ugly incident which happened around 11pm last night (Sunday) threw the entire Oluasiri town into mourning.

Report has it that the suspect has been handed over to the Nembe unit of men of the Nigerian Police Force for prosecution.

More details have emerged on how two students of Benue State University (BSU), drowned in a River in Benue state. The two students are Adakole Christopher, a 100- level Math and Computer science student and Miss Emmanuellla Mson, a 100- level MBBS student.

According to Lubem Terkula Aluta General, on Friday evening, Emmanuella Mson, Adakole Christopher, and 3 of their other friends headed to the river at the back of Benue State University to relax.

Arriving at the river, Adakole Christopher, a popular pianist and basketballer, was dancing with his friends beside the water while Emmanuella Mson went into the river, minutes later she came out and asked Adakole to back her and swim round the river.

While Adakole was swimming with Emmanuella on his back, the 3 other friends were dancing and making videos. After sometime, the friends didn't see their colleagues anymore as they ran back to school and couldn't raise alarm instead they went to security to write statements. As at the time the students went down to the river to search for their friends, there was little or nothing they could do.

Barely 24 hours after the body of Adakole Christopher was discovered and deposited at the morgue on Saturday, the body Emmanuella Mson who is the only child of her parents - was discovered around Orlam rice farm Nassarawa river rout.

Adekole Christopher’s corpse was found at the river bank while Emmanuella’s lifeless body was found and brought back to the bank of river Benue and has since been taken by the school ambulance to the Benue State University teaching hospital.

Multiple reports have it that Feyenoord teen sensation, Lateef Omidiji Jr who plays in Netherlands, might not be interested in playing for Nigeria again after previously switching allegiance from the United States.

Lateef Omidiji Jr has made history as the first youngster to be called up to the Nigerian U-17 national team at age 15. Omidiji Jr has been in the news and in the eye of many top scouts because of his footballing brightness alongside his crude ability to score goals.
