THE MANIPULATION OF THE JUDICIARY STAFF UNION OF NIGERIA (JUSUN) BY THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND THE THREAT TO MY LIFE.

"I am Isaiah Adetola the National Secretary of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN). I am constrained to issue this statement and to say that I will not support the use of JUSUN as a political tool for politicians or to be used by Federal Government a second time.

At the first instance, the Attorney General of the Federation, Hon. Bello Adoki came to the Union to appeal that we should go on strike so we can prevent the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court from pronouncing on the eligibility of Mr. President to run the election in 2015 and to also shutout politicians, who may be dissatisfied with the outcome of the PDP primaries and might want to initiate pre-election suit. I opposed the idea, but because of the volume of resources the AG mobilized for the state chapters, including Abuja and the National Secretariat, I was shutdown by members.

Accordingly, they crafted a reason for JUSUN which they gave as the alleged refusal of the Executive Arm of Government at the Federal and State levels to comply with the January 13, 2014 judgment delivered by Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court and we adopted. Today the courts are closed.

Now the Attorney General wants JUSUN to call off the strike because they want some persons to go to Court to stop the 2015 General Election that is scheduled for next month. I have opposed this just as I did for the strike, but this time around they are willing to provide JUSUN even double the first amount. My colleagues are excited and expectant.

I couldn't have cared less of the their money, however, I am constrained to bring these facts to the PUBLIC DOMAIN because my life is now under treat. I have receive several anonymous calls threatening to kill me should I continue to refuse to sign for the reopening of the courts. Let me use this medium to reassure members of JUSUN that I shall not yield to such threat. It is not in the interest of the Nation.

Please, may I also use this medium to also notify Nigerians that should anything happen to me, they should know which direction to look at.

Long live JUSUN

Ayobami Ayoola Ayolola better known as AYO for short has emerged as the 5th winner of the very popular Project Fame West Africa talent show.

Ayobami, a 25 year old personal assistant to a renowned saxophonist Mike Aremu edged out other finalists to win the top prize this evening, Saturday, September 29, 2012. The finale will be broadcast tomorrow.

The first runner-up position went to Marvellous, second runner-up to Adetoun and third runner-up by Ella.

AYO last year contested at the first ever Nigerian Idol and made the final 12 but was evicted in the first round of the finals.

He now joins the past winners, the likes of Iyanya, Mike Ayansodo, Chidinma and Monica…

The infamous headbutt that French football legend Zinedine Zidane landed on Marco Materazzi during a World Cup final has been transformed into a giant statue and displayed in front of the Pompidou Centre in Paris.

The bronze work of art, simply titled "Headbutt", was Wednesday attracting crowds of tourists and locals who jostled to have their photos taken in front of the five-metre (16-foot) statue.

The sculpture is by Algerian artist Adel Abdessemed, subject of a retrospective exhibition in the Pompidou from October 3 until next January.

"This statue goes against the tradition of making statues in honour of certain victories. It is an ode to defeat," said exhibition organiser Alain Michaud.

A much smaller version of the statue -- which shows the two football players in the seconds after the headbutt, with the Italian player reeling after the attack -- was previously exhibited by a New York art gallery.

Zidane, who holds legendary status in France as a member of the national teams that won the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000, was sent off in the 2006 World Cup final for headbutting Marco Materazzi in the chest.

That was the then France captain's last ever professional match as a player and he later claimed he had reacted to slurs the Italian directed against his sister and mother.

No fewer than 50 people have been confirmed dead in a ghastly multiple road crash that occured this evening at the Ijebu-Ode roundabout of the notorious Benin-Ore Expresseway.

In the accident, an articulated vehicle driver was said to have lost control of the vehicle possibly due to brake failure, causing it to ram into by-standers. Street hawkers, Okada riders and even passenger-buses were not spared in the accident, at the end of which over 50 bodies lay liveless.

"It was a terrible day. I have never seen anything like that in my life", an eye witness exclaimed. This is indeed a colossal waste. This accident happen due to careless attitude of the trailer driver, he continued.

As at the time of filling this report, rescue operations are still going on.

'Innocence of Muslims' is a 2012 independent religious and political film.

The low-quality film was produced and directed by Sam Bacile, a 56 year-old real estate developer who identifies himself as an Israeli Jew.

According to Bacile, he produced the film to call attention to what he called the "hypocrisies" of Islam and it was screened in full just once, to a mostly empty movie theater in Hollywood.

The film has been promoted by Terry Jones. Media reporting of Jones' burning of Qurans previously led to deadly riots around the world.

Jones said on 11 September 2012 that he planned to show a 13-minute trailer that night at his church, the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida.

"It is an American production, not designed to attack Muslims but to show the destructive ideology of Islam," he said in a statement. "The movie further reveals in a satirical fashion the life of Muhammad"

In july 2012, a 14-minute excerpts from the English-language film was posted on YouTube. By September the movie has been dubbed into Arabic and was brought to the attention of the Arab-speaking world by a Coptic blogger.

Muslim leaders criticized the film's depiction of Muhammad. The Daily Telegraph reported that it portrayed Muhammad as an advocate of pedophilia and a homosexual, showing him having sex.


Reaction
The Arab version of the film led to a series of attacks on US embassies in the Arab World. The embassies in Cairo and Benghazi were both attached with the Benghazi attack resulting in the death of ambassador Christopher Stevens.

Bacile has gone into hiding fearing that current actions could be used as an excuse to harm him. He continues to defend the film. Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi urged the United States government on Tuesday to prosecute the 'madmen' behind the video."

The film allegedly triggered the September 11, 2012 storming of the United States Embassy in Cairo, Egypt, and a rocket attack on an embassy personnel car of the United States Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, resulting in at least four deaths of U.S. diplomatic personnel, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens. First lady of MAVIN Records, Tiwa Savage has revealed the real reason why she joined MAVIN Records.

In a recent interview with Factory78, the Kelekele crooner dismissed the insinuation that she was signed on the label to replaced D'Banj.

According to her, " It's great (to be a part of Mavin Records Team). Don Jazzy is a legend in my opinion. He is incredible and I have always looked up to him.

Continuing the talented singer said she has always been closed to Jazzy even when they were in Mo'Hits, so joining him was a natural progression.

"I just want to say this: his plan to sign me is not to replace D'Banj... D'Banj can NEVER be replaced. He is an icon, the entertainer. It was just that they wanted a female touch" she concluded.

The first lady also talked about her style of music, stage craft amongst other things.

She frowned at how Nigerian artists altered their style to fit the foreign market advising them on the need to stay true to themselves.
