PDD- Commence Impeachment Moves Against Governor Babatunde Fashola- On Sunday, The Lagos State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party have cited abuse of power by the Executive Governor, Governor Babatunde Fashola. And they have urged the Lagos State House of Assembly to commence impeachment moves against Governor Babatunde Fashola over plans to collect tolls on roads in the state, especially on the new Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge.

In a statement, the Publicity Secretary of the party, Taofik Gani noted that Fashola had on Democracy Day announced plans to commence another tolling on Lagos roads especially the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge.

But in a swift reaction, the state Publicity Secretary of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Mr. Joe Igbokwe has dismissed the PDP’s call for Fashola’s impeachment, describing it as baseless and lacking in merit.

Mr. Joe Igbokwe said that Fashola’s administration had raised the standard of governance in the state “to such an extent that other governors including the PDP-led states now look up to Lagos for development plans in their states. That is why Fashola is being referred to as headmaster among the governors.”

Contrary to what Mr. Joe Igbokwenave said, Taofik responded that : “It was immoral to allow the governor toll roads that are wholly built with taxpayers’ monies.

“Even the ongoing tolling of the Lekki-Epe Road that the lawmakers acquiesced to is morally wrong as they know well that a project ought to be completed and delivered before it can be paid for. In this instance, the tolling has started whereas the actual design and benefits from the said road have not even been completed which is exploitation.”

Insisting that this was high time the state legislators stood for what was right by removing the governor, Taofik said, “the lawmakers must find their ways back into the hearts of the people and particularly to prove to them that they are not stooges and puppets of the governor and the only way to prove this is to stop the tolling of the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge. As a matter of fact, they must also commence the probe of the alleged N29 billion spent to construct the said bridge.”

Types of Proposals

There are three distinct categories of business proposals:

1. Formally Solicited
2. Informally Solicited

Formally Solicited Proposal

A Solicited Proposals are written in response to published requirements, contained in a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), Invitation For Bid (IFB), or an Request for Information (RFI).

Request for Proposal RFPs provide detailed specifications of what the customer wants to buy and sometimes include directions for preparing the proposal, as well as evaluation criteria the customer will use to evaluate offers. 56 Boko Haram Members Arrested- I cant believe this at all. The MILITARY authorities in Borno State they had arrested a group of 56 terrorists that were moving from village to village in search of food, following a tip off from civilians.

These 56 Boko Haramist were apprehended while they were in search of food probably due to the dust to dust curfew imposed in the state.

Some member of the group, according to the Director of Defence Information, Brigadier-General Chris Olukolade, who were moving around in a Toyota Land Cruiser Jeep with registration number Borno XA 428 ADM, suspected to have been stolen, were arrested at Daban Masara village while looking for food.

Weapons found in their possession included AK-47 rifles, single-barrel shotgun, double-hand shotgun and various calibres of arms.

Other items recovered from the group included seven packs of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED), two rocket-propelled gun chargers, two machetes, bomb detonators, camouflage and other military uniforms. They were also with charms, seven vehicles and eight tricycles.

Brigadier-General Chris Olukolade while responding to press men, said that it was believed that some stranded terrorists were keen on establishing new camps. According to him, most of them are currently in search of food, and are being trailed by military operatives.

Can you tell us about your new movie, The Mistress?

Yes. It’s about a group of friends who all have individual private lives. Its basically the stress that goes through every normal relationship that we put together as a movie for entertainment and to learn one or two things about the other side of relationships. And to tell the people that relationship is meant to be private in nature and fulfilling. So, the story is just meant to teach us lesson about relationship basically.
It’s really uncommon for actors in the English sector of Nollywood to produce movies. What gave you the gut?
I just felt it’s about time I do something instead of wasting money. I needed to lay the foundation. I am not competing with anybody… just because I am producing this does not mean I am producing forever. And the fact that I am producing this one does not mean I am stopping; I just wanted to produce this one and be happy.
Could it be said it’s a way for you to be more fulfilling?
Yes, I am just trying to be happier than I am, and being who I am, I am trying to do business.
When did you come up with the idea of doing your own movie and did you write the story yourself?

The story was co-written by Ruth Kadiri and me. Ruth also wrote the screenplay and acted in it. It was a creative idea between the two of us and it was written under three months. We polished it until we got what we wanted. Erike, the assistant director, added other things.
Who were the people you worked with?
I have myself and Yvonne Nelson from Ghana. There were three directors, Afe Omo-Oluwa, Eyika Obim and Ifeanyin Ogbonna who was the main director and Malio Entertainment coordinated in the UK because I also shot in the UK. Also, I have Maria Kukara, she lives in the UK and works as an actress there. I have Moyo Lawal and Mary Uranta who supported Yvonne Nelson, the major character in the movie.
