what is that better you know? Let us clarify an issue here. The battles that led to the genocide in the old testament era wasn't religious but conquest. The canaanites had committed a lot of atrocities so the Israelites were God's weapon then. Now God has created a more suitable way to salvation, this time for everyone - Jesus.
