TheSuperNerd: His shot power was so world renowned that even in video games, once you use Inter with Adriano, you are sure of a wonder goal. His shot power and accuracy was insane.
Leite Adriano was the ballon dor striker that never won a balloon dor and never got to fulfill all his potentials due to depression.
Depression na bastard.
that time na him and martins I Dey play upfront if I choose to play with Inter for PES
Martins na because of his pace and then “Adio” as we do call him them for his shot power, stamina and pace
There is this goal he scored against Argentina in a Copa America finals. I think they won that match 3nil
The control and shot from outside 18 yard box was mind blowing
chrisooblog: Like Charles said Adriano shot be like nuclear strike.
Plus Adriano had decent pace too.
Boniface may be fancier when compared to the Brazilian but the Adriano na confirm one man squad
In his prime no defender fit stop him, then self when we had rugged CBs in serie A and European top leagues
Adriano no need near post ooo, once the ball set well for his favourite foot him don hammer and na straight inside post. Also him get strength and stamina die the reason I called him a tank in my previous posts
chrisooblog: Adriano! one of footballs great what ifs. You're spot on when you say he was very similar to R9. Pity depression took its toll on a very promising career.
I think Boniface is too unique in his skill set to pigeonhole that he is a this or that. If Boni had Osimhen mad focus and ginger it would have been all over for the football world.
Depression caused by his dad’s death ruined the guy
Adriano was a force of nature and A tank waiting to strike at any given space
mrwilliams9: I am not saying Boniface is of Adriano’s level at his prime. No.
I’m saying Boniface has many of the same characteristics of Adriano and if he, Boniface keeps developing, he’ll be similar to a prime Adriano.
talk am reach next week I no gree
Boniface is more like a Zirkzee kinda player ie CFs that are skillful, can play any where upfront as well as drop deep to create opportunities for his team mates
He isn’t forceful and bullish like Adriano. Adriano was a menace to defenders during his prime
Mujtahida: Machine football which is cold and efficient. Like video game but no flair, no individuality, no spirit, no soul, no razzmatazz, no beauty, no creativity, no spark. Just drab and endless kick about of the ball.
Charlesemeka85 remember when we mentioned this about Nwabali. In our last match, Ekong was unhappy when Nwabali went down in the closing minutes of the match
lexyman: You are right , what you see now is the (CM) role in fooall! the traditional role of the CM as a game controller, dictating the pace and flow of the game, has evolved. Modern football has become more dynamic, with CMs now often required to be more versatile, defensive-minded, and athletic.
The days of the traditional "regista" or deep-lying playmaker, like Andrea Pirlo or Xavi, are indeed fading. Now, CMs are often expected to:
Break up opposition attacks Win the ball back quickly Distribute it simply to maintain possession Support both defense and attack
While this shift has made the game more intense and physically demanding, it's true that the CM role might not be as creatively focused as it once was. However, there are still some exceptional CMs who can control the game's tempo and dictate the flow, like Kevin De Bruyne or Luka Modrić.
another Kante will come maybe in another 5 years ...
and you will see redundant coaches like Siasia saying that the super eagles lack a creative AM
Role wey don fade off na wey him still Dey talk about 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mk em no lose kpata kpata, atleast mk him secure the Tonga job first then if em do well countries like Samoa, Pakistan, Indonesia,Sri Lanka or even our African brothers Eritrea fit come for am 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
According to Voetbalkrant.com, Club Brugge refused to approve for Onyedika to switch to Turkey because then they would be forced to get a worthy replacement for the defensive midfielder.
Such a replacement will certainly not come cheap, but most importantly the transfer window in Belgium is closed and so they cannot do so.
Also, the registration for the UEFA Champions League closed last Wednesday.
So the earliest the Super Eagles midfielder could be allowed to move will be January, when the transfer window re-opens.
lexyman: @Charlesemeka ... there are some things you rather not say in public ... not because they are bad . but just not to bridge peace and harmony ...i dont know where that guy came from .
minfelix: i think he also gave Mikel his first senior team call up in 2005 and scored his first afcon goal against Zimbabwe in the group stage under AE
