Well the update seems fine so far, with smooth system performance all through. And the realme ui has just enough customisations for normal users. Tho you can always get more using third party launchers. Battery drain as been optimised too.

Yes it's for the Chinese variants.. Tho I read somewhere yesterday that for you to be able to receive the new update on the global variant, you must be on the RMX1993EX_11.A.19 version update. Which you will have to download manually on the site I think.

Well one can't really say, but one thing I'm sure of is that you can't contact the virus from ordered goods, since the virus can't leave for long outside of an host. But to be on the safer side, don't order anything for now, to avoid stories that touch.

I installed the Notify and Fitness app but I just kinda find it too "complex" when compared to the Mi fit app. I don't know if anyone here can give me a workaround on how to go about the N&F app.

Like you said , it's complex so the only work around you need is to keep playing around the app and experiment with the app. Trust me, you'll get the hang of it over time. Cheers

I didn't think we had these much Nigerian Realme fans, ive read the thread man y'all are awesome. I've always been a Samsung fan but I'm tryna Join realme. Got my eyes on this realme X, heard it got an Amoled screen and a good SOC too at a killer price. What I want to know is..
1) Does the screen really look that good?
2) Does it support our network carriers, especially the 4g bands of Airtel, Glo and mtn
3)Has anyone used it for a while now, how durable is it after 6 months?
4) The best place to purchase it.
5) Do the Color Os have limitations?

1. Since you're coming from Samsung whose phones also comes with amoled, then trust me when I say you'll feel right at home. The screens are a top notch. The only downside to me is that the maximum brightness ain't that high. So using it outdoors might be a bit of a hassle.

2. Yes the global versions support all our 4g bands.

3. Well I've been using the realme x2 8/128 for over 2 months now, and so far, I've not encountered even the slightest of issues.

4. Well your best bet is AliExpress. Or to save you trouble, go on nairaland you'll see lot of sellers who will help u order it.

5. Well it depends on what you mean by limitations. The colour os is good but not great. Tho the next update is rumoured to be much better. Also , why fret when there are lots of launchers on play store waiting to be downloaded.

Hey bro, rather than go for either of them, why not go for realme x2. Trust me, you'll be getting more value for money when compared to the a51 and note 8 pro.

Also the problem might be that you recently allowed a website to send notifications on Chrome. If that's the case, then open your chrome, click on settings, and then click on notifications. Then scroll down under notifications and make sure all sites are set to none.

Do you know the bands on Chinese version. If only it has band 3 I'm covered all the network providers around my area use LTE BAND 3. So no cause for alarm and once I travel out I will change my phone but till then.

Yes it has band 3 .. The only band not present is band 20 I think

Well the difference is usually the network bands i.e there are some bands which are not usually present on the Chinese band . So if your network providers is using those bands, then no 4g for u . Also the other difference is no Google apps on Chinese version. So you have to install manually. And lastly, the languages supported on Chinese versions are few (tho I don't see these as a problem sha).

All in all , it's always better that you go for the global version.

Yes , it happens on my phone too, hopefully it'll be fixed in the next update.

The only issue I've noticed so far is that Dual app(clone apps) only works for Facebook and Instagram. If anyone can help with that, I don't mind.

It works with all apps that are supported, but the thing is you can't clone more than two apps at a time. So you can choose WhatsApp and Facebook, ig and fb , or any combination of your choice.

Yea. So far enjoying the band. No need to rush to the phone in the event of new messages, incoming calls, -I get to know via notification on the band and choose what to respond to; especially so if you don't want to be distracted at work.

That's besides the weather updates, heart rate monitor, keeping fit trackers (yes set one alert that tells me I've sat for to long if I sit continuously for more than one hour- lol), alerts and reminders.

The Music part, with the band displaying the track tittles, you skip, pause and play any way you want -all with a devise the same size of a hand "band" literally. -yea I never liked wearing hand watches

When I used the mi fit app, I can pause and continue playing the music already playing. (Yea, no one could start fresh play without opening the phone)

So the issue is if I pause the already playing song, I can't continue from where I pause via the Notify app, I'll have to open the phone again to continue play...

Is that your same experience?

The notification issue is a general problem on almost all the Oppo, Realme and Oneplus phones, the problem is from the stock OS. Maybe the new UI will also solve that or future updates that might be released. But on my custom rom, I receive all notifications from my apps.

Yeah ... I read it's due to the aggressive battery saving method which kills app from running in th background completely. And it's mostly common in their Chinese variants.

Nice of you to share. All was followed as you also discribed above. -I also have same latest update version.

However, GrandMufti above adviced deleting the Mi fit app and only keeping the Notify. -so far so good, except the play/pause ish. If I press it, I need to go through the phone to start/play/continue the music. Other than that every other thing is good using only the Notify app for the mi band 4

Wait let me get your complain right, is it that you can't start/stop music from the band without playing it on the phone first?.

If that's the case then you have no problem cos it's the same thing on every band. You have to play the music on your phone first before controlling it subsequently on the band.
