It is within your rights to refuse a work given to you if it is not in your job description. You were working hoping she was your destiny helper. Celebrities no get shishi o. Na fake life. |
You'd think the bribes they collect alleviate their sorry lives. They don't, because the goal of the bribes is not to enrich but to ensure they remain stagnant. The lion's share goes to the DPOs... while the crumbs they are given are measured with an exact satisfaction of dry gin... kaikai. Have you seen them when they remove their uniforms? You would almost think they wear fragmented jackets inside that make them look fatter. I mean, this bunch of untrained lots don't even know they have a right to refuse an order if it means harming civilians. No, they don't. They keep protecting the hands that are not feeding them, yet hitting them. I remember when we were in the barracks and the son of a Staff Sergeant stole the RSM's turkey. This Staff Sergeant was notorious for being extremely wicked, but he translated it as being rugged. More like the devil just wanted a personal pawn. Back to the story... The Staff Sergeant did all in his power to ensure his son wouldn't be disgraced, but it didn't work. The penalty was final: he must be stripped naked to walk the whole Mammy market with his tail in the front, jingling like a native chicken beaten by the rain. I was there live. The boy was locked in the guardroom. In fact, the soldiers on duty swept the guardroom so clean that the boy wouldn't find any object to kill himself before the big occasion in the morning. I remember it was morning time, and the seasoned drummers—who used tomato tins to send Afrobeat choruses, joined by a shameless me and my other regulars stamping our feet in rhythmic gestures—were the order of the day. That was not all. They made sure they also went to the house blocks of his girlfriend and his playmates, too. He dared not cover anything. His fundamental human rights were dangling all the way through. This is regular. Could it be that the bribe carries a curse that shifts to the children? I mean... it pricks me. I wouldn't lie. I enjoy it when I see them protesting against the gov concerning pensions. Call me the devil, I don't mind. I don't like what I hate. See you later. Hawking time don reach.

Who killed Dele Giwa? Who killed Funsho Williams? The 1993 election was supposed to be our moment of true national unity. Look at those numbers. Abiola did not just win; he built a coalition that bridged the divide between the North Central and the South West. For a brief, intoxicating moment, it felt as though we had finally outgrown the regionalism that keeps us fragmented. But in this country, such optimism is often a dangerous provocation to the powers that prefer the status quo. Meanwhile, how is Babangida doing today? The once Almighty ruler who thought the world revolves around his pencil. The Minna archangel! It makes me remember some great men alike who were silenced rather than good governance see the light. The shadows that hang over our political history are long and dark. The brutal silencing of Dele Giwa in 1986 and the cold, calculated murder of Funsho Williams in 2006 were not merely isolated crimes. They were messages—sharp, violent reminders of what happens when individuals become too prominent or too capable of shifting the national narrative. We dance around these ghosts, but the truth remains locked behind doors that no one in power wants to open. It makes me wonder if Abacha really stole that much announced. Maybe underrepresented or overrepresented. Or are other corrupt people hiding their own crimes under the umbrella of the late man who cannot defend himself anymore? Just the same way more are waiting for others to be late then they blame them for everything! By the way... Who killed Dele Giwa? Who killed Funsho Williams? |

Is it not the same Tinubu who sponsored Sunday to proclaim it was Yoruba nation or nothing? Since Tinubu became president, automatically, the Yoruba nation agitation ended. |
