She made a jamboree of an award day and gathered 20 people with 20 Hawaii phones that are not more than 8k market value, used ribbons to design them and the people all ''smiled for the cameras''. Then posted it online.
That was since September 8th or thereabouts. And she said the next batch was due by November, what we didn't know is if it was this year's November or the next.
It's next year I grin grin

Time is not on your side. But you never can tell bro. Just be positive and wait for it. Like Awelekiti said you can always use it even if the initial intended time passes. Just pray for a positive response as that's the main thing. Good luck.
Thanks and God bless

It doesn't matter. If your planned event is past by the time the CIC is taking a decision on your app, you could still get your visa if you're qualified for one and use it next time. Hope your passport validity is far-reaching sha. This is very important because CIC is habitually sluggish in processing visa applications in Nigeria
Thanks awelekiti. My passport is actually a new one so I Am hoping for something BIG from the VO.

Christianity Etc › Re: A Secret About Sunday Worship You Won't Be Told By Your Pastors. by chccho(m): 3:11pm On Dec 09, 2016
NatureBoy91:
Millions of conscientious Christians attend church every Sunday, the first day of the week. They do so believing that somewhere, somehow, someone changed the day of worship. Either that, or they aren't aware that the Most High set aside the Seventh day, not the first day of the week as His holy day.
It is true, a change has been made. But by whom? We've discovered that the Most High made the Sabbath during the first week of earth's history. He set it aside as a weekly appointment between man and Himself- as a blessing, a refreshment, a date between two lovers so to speak( Most High and man).
If He changed His mind about His special appointment day with us, wouldn't He have recorded so momentous an adjustment in the Bible?
There are 8 texts in the New Testament that mention the first day of the week. Lets look at them carefully. Matthew 28:1. Mark 16:1,2,9. Luke 24:1. John 20:1, 19. Acts 20:7,8. 1 Corinthians 16:1,2.
The first four texts simply state that the women came to the sepulchre early on the resurrection morning, and that Christ rose from the dead.
Now look up John 20:19 in your Bible. It tells us that Christ appeared to the disciples later on the resurrection day. It says that the reason they were assembled was "for fear of the Jews." They were scared. Not telling when the Jews might grab them and treat them to the same fate as their Master.
They had seen their beloved Master die on Friday. They "returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the Sabbath day according to the commandment." Luke 23:56. And now they're hiding with the doors shut for fear of the Jews. John 20:19.
There's no mention of a change.
Acts 20:7,8. It says " and upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together. "
This was a night meeting- the dark part of the first day of the week. In Bible reckoning, the dark part of the day comes before the light part. Genesis 1:5. The Bible reckons a day from sunset to sunset. The Seventh day begins on sunset Friday evening. The first day of the week begins sunset Saturday evening.
Paul is together with his friends on the dark part of the first day of the week- Saturday night. This is a farewell get-together. He preached until midnight, when poor Eutycgus falls out the window. Acts 20:9.
You can imagine how relieved they were when it was found that the Most High spared his life. Verse 11 says that they talked till day break and then Paul departed. Verse 13 shows that Paul spent that Sunday morning traveling to Assos.
There's nothing here either concerning a change of the Sabbath.
The New English Bible translates this text like this: "on the Saturday night, in our Assembly for the breaking of bread, Paul, who was to leave the next day, addressed them, and went on speaking until midnight."
In 1 Corinthians 16:1-3. Verse 3 tells that he will bring the offering to Jerusalem.
As he had done in Galatia, so Paul also requests of those in Corinth to have a collection all ready when he would come to take it to the poor saints in Jerusalem. There's nothing in the text about a Church service, but each person is to "lay by him in store." The first day of the week was the best time for the people to set some money aside because later in the week it would be spent. That's true today as well! Paul requested this so that "there be no gatherings when I come." 1 Corinthians 16:2.
At this time the Christians are suffering hardship in Jerusalem and Paul is making his rounds to the churches taking up a collection for them. ( We should be that thoughtful today).
There's nothing in this text either about a change of the LORD's Sabbath to Sunday.
Concerning worship, what was Paul's custom? Here it is.
"And Paul, as his custom was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scripture." Acts 17:2.
Christ, our example also has the custom of attending church on Saturday, the Seventh day. (Luke 4:16).
CAUTION: I see no reason why schools will ask students to come and study on Saturdays, does it mean that since Monday-Friday that they didn't learn anything? So, the one of Saturday they would learn better, then why not ask them to come and learn even on a Sunday.
For those who do clean-up or manual labor on a Saturday, why won't you put it on a Sunday or on a holiday. Will Saturday make it best for your pleasures?
ADVICE: Remember, Heaven doesn't deal with majority. If you are among such persons please desist from it. Do you know it was because Israel profaned the Sabbath that God led them to captivity in the land of Babylon seventy good years to serve unknown gods.
Let him who have ear hear, have eyes see, have head gain understand cos the time is short.
Thank you for reading.
If you are Christian/Adventist what then is your problem and why are u discriminating against other denominations? As a Christian our ultimate goal should be to make heaven and win more souls for Christ. So this battle of what day is the Sabbath day shouldn't be your headache. I used to think like u a long time ago when I had a part of my secondary education in an Adventist institution. But I later realized that there is more to life and belief than one man's belief.
The same Adventist preach that we shouldn't eat meat or fish but in their homes they eat fish, chicken, meat and even more...@OP before you criticize explore more and expand your horizon

Hello house. Just confirmed. Application approved. Am still waiting for the embassy to ask me to come for my passport. God is amazing. As promised these are the documents I submitted:

- Invitation letter from my uncle who is a Canadian citizen, stating the reason for the visit and that all expenses will be covered by him and his family. Signed and dated on PDF file. The reason is family reunion. I've not seen my cousins since 2006 and they've been to Nigeria only once so I wanted to use my leave to spend some time with them.
- Employment letter
- 5 months GTB Statement of account of 1.8 million
- Letter of explanation/introduction. In this piece I explained in details my responsibilities and family ties both in Nigeria and Canada, my professional career and why staying beyond the approved time will not be in my interest. I also reiterated that all living expenses, accomodation and feeding during my stay will be handled by my uncle and his family and the funds am bringing with me will be for other sundry and personal expenses. I am single, I do not have any personal landed property, I have never traveled out of Nigeria before. I was honest about all that in the letter of explanation.
- Travel itinerary. I stated specific addresses of places I plan to visit and the dates, the specific addresses of my friends in Canada I plan to visit. I also stated that the plans can be rescheduled just in case I don't get the approval before the stated dates.
I think sincerity plays a huge role in visa applications and also the fact that your uncle is a Canadian citizen makes it very difficult for the VO to refuse applications such as yours. This is good news to all 1st time applicants like myself. Congratulations to u @Zeus
